For more than a year, the operation calling itself Jayne’s Baby Bank has been a textbook example of hypocrisy in action. Run by Carrie-Anne Ridsdale, also known as Jayne Price, this outfit has built a reputation for targeting businesses and charities that question her shifting claims — whether she’s supposedly a charity, a shop, or even a qualified nurse.

Her pattern is consistent. She lashes out at others, accuses them of wrongdoing, and then engages in the same behavior herself. She often struggles to keep her story straight, deleting videos when she forgets that her actions are being closely documented.

The latest example came when the self-described “nurse” from Pontllanfraith, Blackwood, posted this to Facebook:

I have 3 food good to go bags £5 each and some bread which is free at Pontypool shop this morning.

On the surface, it seems like an ordinary sales pitch. But for anyone familiar with her track record, it’s yet another glaring contradiction. Last year, she posted this:

5 ways to start an independent foodbank without charging the people who need it . We run a free foodbank for Mothers with children under 18 who are our customers and donators. We also provide an in store 5 weekly items of top up shopping to help mums get through the week without needing a full food bank. This takes pressure off the Government funded foodbanks. We can also make referrals to the Government foodbanks.

This is far from an isolated slip. Ridsdale has claimed to have saved companies millions over her career, boasted about being a qualified nurse with a biochemistry degree, and at one point even suggested she was pursuing a PhD. Yet her own posts reveal a double standard she cannot seem to hide:

Foodbanks don’t charge vulnerable people for food. If you are paying for food at a “foodbank/pantry” they are a food business. Wake up. Stop supporting them profiting off vulnerable people and children.

FREE – that’s how it is ment to be given out not £5 a bag £2 a month subscription like the pantri Risca They are a food business not paying for food stock because they are taking it off the food banks and charging vulnerable families for it . It is ment for foodbanks and community fridges not food business and they have conned supermarkets in to giving it to them for free so they can rip vulnerable families and claim to be charitable.

These are the “people” these so called ‘registered charities” are charging £5 and up for the food thrown out by the supermarket; that the Government has decided this how they are going to feed these people ….. children aware of this affecting their health and social well being. FareShare are also allowing these so called registered charities to charge desperate families and children for waste food fit for the bin. Don’t support these charities , support us we are trying to prevent these charges and charities charging the public for this food.

still charging people for put of date food they are given by Tesco ect because they are a registered charity. The food is supposed to be given out for free or suggested donation of up to £3 . They are also collecting tin on wall food collections where by people gift food and think its being given to families in need not sold £5 a basket. Not even a bag full. Selling out of date food is illegal.

Not many FREE foodbanks or people gifting food out for free anymore – everyone is capitilising on charging people for foodbanks. If you know a good cause or FREE foodbank that we could help please feel free to nominate them. Last month we helped the Royal British legion Bikers with teddies to raffle and give out and car boot stock for them to raise funds.

And then, with no sense of irony, she posted this:

Yep yep! This is why these other charities hate on us. Divide those figures of what food I collected with my food fairiesby £5 a bag of food sold on to vulnerable people. They are worried when they see these figures – these figures represent what I can actually do – how much “product” I can shift – if I gave out that food – how much money would these registered charities loose

In other words, the same person who condemns charging for food from a food bank openly brags about the financial value of doing exactly that.

Ridsdale’s repeated contradictions point to a clear pattern: attack others for the very actions she engages in, all while presenting herself as a community champion. But behind the curated social media presence lies a business model built on double standards, misleading claims, and the absence of any real oversight.

The goal is simple. She wants money — your money — with no accountability and no transparency. The public face is carefully crafted, but the inconsistencies in her own statements do the work of exposing the truth.

  1. You know when your getting to her because she comes out with that. Funny how she labels anyone who challengers her a nonce. She’s a disgrace. Keep doing what your doing as her web of lies is unravelling at every corner and she hates it! A narcissist can never keep their mask up for long and they hate being called out on their behaviour.

  2. Today’s livestream featured the following image, depicting “Sherlock” as a “nonce”, complete with a smiley face similar to the one shown in today’s article image.
