The short version
- On 29 October she answered Sherlock by name: “I am more than qualified to run children’s clubs in my classrooms.” She listed childminder, classroom assistant and “10 years plus SEN experience”, and added: “We all have enhanced DBS .”
- Childminder. 46 days earlier she wrote that she had “forgot” she went to college with her mother: “I think it’s Cahe level 3 child minding ?” The certificate she then posted was her mother’s. We have seen none in her own name.
- Teaching assistant level 3. She now says her school job is “how I got my teaching assistant level three qualification”. The information we have received is that she was a level 1 care assistant and was not appointed to the level 3 post she applied for.
- The years keep changing: “12 years” in 2024, “from the age of 18-30” in July, “10 years plus” now.
- The certificates. None of the certificates she posted in September is a childminding or teaching assistant qualification in her name.
- DBS. She has not said who requested the checks, for which roles, or when. She gave the same guarantee at Pontypool. We have no information that the convicted man we reported on there has been at Rogerstone.
- The clubs are for children aged 4 to 14. Parents of children over six are told they can “go shopping in our shop”.
In this article
On 13 October 2026 Jayne’s Baby Bank opened what she calls Donation Centre 2, at Principality House in Rogerstone, Newport. Since then her page has advertised two “classrooms”, rooms for hire at £25 an hour, and free Lego, craft and other clubs for children aged 4 to 14.
In Jayne’s Baby Bank Exposed, this site’s Facebook group of more than 10,000 members, Sherlock described the room in one of her photos as “rather dull and uninviting”, and asked members for ideas on how a bright, welcoming classroom could look. On 29 October she answered three times: a post that named Sherlock and listed her qualifications, a video that said “I can call it what I like”, and, that afternoon, “According to sherlock our classroom looks uninviting- pretty sure it looks better than yours”.
She often calls her critics stalkers: the word appears in 45 of her posts this year. She has named Sherlock in 32.
This article does not judge the room. It checks what she says qualifies her to run children’s clubs in it, against her own posts and videos and what we have already reported.

What she calls a classroom
The word first appeared on 7 October, before she had opened: “SNEAK PEEK! CLASSROOM 1! ready for free lego and craft club for the children and the Mums.” (the post). On 13 October she offered the rooms for hire, and listed the free classes she would run in them.

On 20 October she set out the clubs by age: key stage 1, ages 4 to 6, “we would prefer you to stay on site”; key stage 2, ages 6 to 10; key stage 3, ages 10 to 14. “Mums can stay at each club or go shopping in our shop :) or just have a coffee and read aa book - we don’t mind.” Only for children with additional needs did she ask parents to stay (the post, spelling as published).

On 29 October, filming inside the building, she turned to her critics:
They’re like, gosh, you can’t call it a classroom. You can’t call it a classroom. I can call it what I like. And there’s nothing you can do about it.
Her video, 29 October 2026 (from a transcript of the recording)
She can call a room what she likes. The name is not the issue. Three things are: what the building may lawfully be used for, who runs the sessions, and what checks have been made.
On the first, a Newport planning officer told us on 14 October that, in his opinion, the building’s lawful use does not cover classes, children’s activities or community sessions, and that using it for them is a material change of use needing planning permission. We set that out in our 25 October report, which also covers the plan to demolish the building.
Her 13 October list includes “Speech and language and music therapy”. “Speech and language therapist” and “music therapist” are titles protected by law: only people registered with the Health and Care Professions Council may use them. She has not said who would run those sessions.
“Qualified childminder”
And I’m a qualified childminder because I went back to college with my mother because she didn’t want to go on her own to get her own qualifications.
Her video, 29 October 2026 (from a transcript of the recording)
Six weeks earlier, it was something she had forgotten.

The next day, on video, she was still unsure of the name: “it might have been called something else because I think Daniel was a baby when we took it.” Six days later she posted a certificate, with these words: “This is my Mothers qualification in childminding she asked me to go back to college with her and I am so proud of her.” (the post). We have not reproduced the certificate. It is her mother’s, not hers.
We have found no childminding certificate in her own name in anything she has posted, before or since. In Wales childminding is a service registered and inspected by Care Inspectorate Wales. A college course can be a step towards registration; it is not registration. She has not said she is registered.
“Teaching assistant level three”
And I worked in a sensory and autism classroom for years. And that’s how I got my teaching assistant level three qualification.
Her video, 29 October 2026 (from a transcript of the recording)
Our report on her school job sets out the information we have received: she worked in the autism resource base at Pontllanfraith Primary School as a level 1 care assistant, applied for a level 3 post there, was not appointed, and left in about 2005. That rests on information received by this investigation, not on documents, and we will add any document that confirms or contradicts it. It is the first time we have seen her say the job itself gave her a level 3 qualification.
Her count of the years keeps moving:
- 3 April 2024: “for 12 years”.
- 17 July 2026: “employed from the age of 18-30”.
- 29 October 2026: “10 years plus SEN experience” (the post).
Level 3 is also the bar she sets for others. In January 2025, recruiting for the Lego club, she said on video: “unless you’ve got the actual level three qualification, I personally don’t want you running it.” In September she was still asking.

She has not said who those qualified staff are.
The certificates she did post
On 12 September we published a dated review of her academic record. The same day she wrote: “Found this photo online and forgot I even had completed this training so I will dig out some of my other certificates next week or so.” (the post). What followed, as that report sets out:
- Pearson Level 1 and Level 2 unit records from 2016.
- Two 1996 RSA “Distinction” certificates that are one photograph with the award line changed.
- A 1996 GCSE certificate in which OpenAI’s own checking tool reported its SynthID watermark.
- Conference certificates carrying Facebook’s “AI content” label, made out to “Jayne Price” as a “Cardiff University Student”.
Cardiff University’s Registry has confirmed that an email she posted, saying a certificate was sent to her in September 2020, came from it. What Cardiff awarded her has not been shown. Our nursing fact-check covers that claim.
None of the certificates she posted is a childminding qualification or a teaching assistant level 3 in her name. Those are the two she now relies on.
“We all have enhanced DBS”
An enhanced DBS check is made for a particular kind of role, such as work with children, and shows a person’s record on the day it is issued (GOV.UK). It covers only the person checked. She has not said who requested the checks, for which roles, when, or whether they include the children’s barred list.
She has given this guarantee before. Our 4 October report on the children’s club looked at her DBS statements over four years. On 13 September we reported that a convicted child sex offender was working and living at Jayne’s Baby Bank in Pontypool. She denies it. A month later she wrote:

We have no information that he has been at the Rogerstone building, and we do not suggest it. The point is narrower: the guarantee she now gives for clubs for 4 to 14-year-olds is the one she gave at Pontypool.
Before you book
Questions to ask before you book or leave a child
- Who will run the session? Ask to see their qualification certificate, in their own name.
- Who requested their enhanced DBS check, for which role, and when? Does it include the children’s barred list?
- Is the club registered with Care Inspectorate Wales, or has CIW said it does not need to be? The rules on who must register are changing (CIW, 20 October 2026).
- Can you see the safeguarding policy, and who is the safeguarding lead?
- Does the activity have planning permission at this address?
- Stay with your child.
