Nicola Williams, 46, from Caerau, was the founder of the now-closed registered charity Cwtch-Up (1194295). She has decided to go public with evidence which she says raises serious concerns about the way food and clothing donations were being handled by another group, Jayne’s Baby Bank.

During the year Cwtch-Up was active, Nicola states the charity delivered more than 200,000 meals locally. She says her decision to speak out was driven by the risk posed to her own organisation and by the behaviour she witnessed.

The material she has provided includes screenshots of conversations, social media posts, photographs of donated goods, and email exchanges. These date back to 2022 and have been shared by Williams in her role as a whistleblower.

“I was pressured to take part, and I refused. My charity was at risk, and when I started to push back, the threats and lies began. This isn’t about helping families – it became about power and control.”

1. Food and Goods in Large Quantities

Photographs show large amounts of food packed into green crates — tins, packets, and bottles stacked in cars and inside homes. One image shows a woman crouched down in front of crates in a hallway, inspecting tins.

“They have to make 2 journeys so I have to contain my excitement 😂.”

“They wanted to go down last night but I said they can’t because she will report them for stealing. But I said if anyone can convince her it would be Keli. I told her do what it takes.”

“Shssssds 🤫.”

2. Disputes Over OLIO Collections

Screenshots from OLIO, the food-sharing app, show that a user named Cerii had her collection privileges revoked:

“Cerii, your collection has come to an end… you will be removed from this group… Cerii has ended their collection with immediate effect.”

In a Messenger exchange, Jayne lists family members:

“Cerri Price. Dan James Price. Gareth Saunders. That’s my kids’ names.”

Clarification on identities: The account “Cerii Price” refers to Jayne Price, whose real name is Carrie Anne Ridsdale. The name “Dan James Price” refers to her son, Daniel James, also known as Daniel Ridsdale. This confirms that the OLIO collection account “Cerii” was directly tied to Carrie Anne Ridsdale (operating as Jayne) and her immediate family.

“Cerii may have taken it already, warn her. Her One Stops are saying the same too.”

3. Public Threats and Intimidation

Jayne’s Baby Bank’s Facebook page features a post targeting another individual, showing a photo of food crates in a car with an edited image of a man making an obscene gesture.

“Unlucky bitch! My volunteers took that food from under your nose! I don’t care who you are, if you are sitting on this food and not feeding vulnerable people with it… I’m coming for you.”

Text overlaid on the image itself states:

“Unlucky bitch you have no idea who I am.”

4. Private Disputes and Denials

In private Messenger chats, Jayne responds to accusations with laughter and denial.

“Lmao I havnt. Shut up is that what she said to you 😂😂😂.”

“Why would I lie. I’ve got two accounts myself.”

5. Risk to Charities

Nicola, in several messages, expresses concern about her own registered charity being implicated:

“I’m not doing any more. My charity is at risk. So get Deb — she’s not a charity and has nothing to lose.”

“I’m not taking it, I’m under investigation.”

Jayne replies with apparent indifference:

“I just asked her now. What’s the update with them?”

6. References to Police and Social Services

In a separate message exchange, Jayne writes:

“Police have referred me to social services. Do you think that’s because they arrested me and fucked up big time?”

7. International Donations

Another screenshot shows Jayne discussing aid collections:

“If any Ukraine stuff gets dropped off to you and you haven’t got room keep it for me coz we have a second appeal down here.”

Emails between Nicola and an independent contact (“Sherlock”) add further detail. Sherlock emailed Nicola after seeing a post by Jayne’s Baby Bank asking for sponsorship of a shipping container to support “Mothers in Uganda.”

The post claimed:

“Any companies or members of the public that would like to sponsor a shipping container rent for 1 year at a time – to collect and store for Mothers in need in Uganda?… We have been doing this unofficially for 5 years… Mother in Uganda need car seats, bottles, clothes, nappies, washable nappies and everything else a Mum also needs.”

Nicola strongly denied involvement:

“No not involved in any of her dodginess. She got involved with my Ukraine stuff and I think she used the Uganda thing so she could get away with stealing my donations.”

She added:

“I don’t believe she had any contacts or sent anything to Uganda. She said it to one up Ukraine. She needed shipping containers to fill with the stuff she was hoarding. She bought a 7.5-ton box lorry that wasn’t running — it was parked by her house at one point.”

Nicola also alleged:

“She had made a letter headed paper and written a letter to give to businesses to collect stuff for me to take to Ukraine. I told her countless times to stop cos she was using my charity number and keeping the donations herself.”

What the Evidence Shows

  • Multiple images of large amounts of donated food and goods being held in homes and vehicles.
  • Group chat messages showing Jayne encouraging others to take risks and “do what it takes” to obtain items.
  • OLIO records and Messenger chats linking Jayne’s family accounts to cancelled food collections under false names.
  • Public posts containing threats and abusive language aimed at others.
  • Private exchanges where Nicola states her charity was at risk, while Jayne continues to push for involvement.
  • Mentions of police and social services involvement from Jayne herself.
  • References to Ukraine and Uganda donations being diverted or misrepresented.

Chronological Timeline of Key Events (Based on Evidence and Records)

Early 2022 – Large Collections Documented

“They have to make 2 journeys so I have to contain my excitement 😂.”

This ties the account directly to Carrie Anne Ridsdale (Jayne) and her son, Daniel James (Daniel Ridsdale).

Mid 2022 – Public Threat Posted

“Unlucky bitch! My volunteers took that food from under your nose… I’m coming for you.”

Later 2022 – Police and Social Services Mentioned

“Police have referred me to social services. Do you think that’s because they arrested me and fucked up big time?”

2022–2023 – Ukraine and Uganda Claims Disputed

Nicola asserts that Jayne’s Baby Bank misused her charity number and fabricated overseas donation efforts. She alleges Uganda was invoked as a cover for hoarding or selling donations.

Early 2023 – Cwtch-Up Closes

Nicola’s registered charity ceases operation, citing harassment, risks, and investigation pressure.

2023 – Aid to Ukraine Verified

Nicola records footage at the refugee centre in Przemyśl (10 km from Ukraine, near the Medyka–Shehyni border crossing). From there she crosses into Ukraine to deliver aid to a midwife. The midwife used a Polish Red Cross ambulance to transport the supplies while evacuating Ukrainians in urgent medical need. For safety and privacy reasons, this footage will not be released publicly.

2024–2025 – Jayne’s Baby Bank Repeats “Fake Ukraine” Narrative

Public posts repeatedly accuse Nicola of a “fake Ukraine appeal,” claiming her charity was “shut down” and alleging fraud. These claims appear in January 2024, September 2025, and again on 29 September 2025.

September 2025 – Counter-Evidence Published

Nicola’s video evidence emerges, contradicting Jayne’s claims. Sherlock documents the history of allegations alongside proof of aid delivery at the border.

Update – 29/09/2025

This amendment is added today to include crucial clarification. We have been provided with videos from Nicola Williams which directly refute the claims made by Jayne’s Baby Bank about a so-called “fake Ukraine appeal.” The footage was recorded at the refugee centre in Przemyśl, situated roughly 10 km from Ukraine and close to the Medyka–Shehyni border crossing. From this location, Nicola crossed into Ukraine to deliver items to a midwife. Importantly, the midwife who received the supplies was operating a Polish Red Cross ambulance, which she was using to evacuate Ukrainians in urgent need of medical care.

Historical Context Claimed by Jayne’s Baby Bank

The following statements, published by Jayne’s Baby Bank, show a repeated narrative accusing Nicola and her former charity of involvement in a “fake Ukraine” appeal:

“You using our name without permission to get donations for a fake Ukraine appeal that never took place on a bus that never even left the parking lot. Stop using my images in fake correspondence that you are making up as I am trademarked and breach of trademark is criminal, which you found out while using our name in a fake Ukraine appeal.”

“When that person was doing their fake Ukraine appeal.
And used our names to get nappies.
That’s what we learnt off the charity question.
Because when I contacted them they said no, you can’t do that.
Because she has to prove where it’s going.
When it gets in that country.
She can’t even be in a register charity.”

You know, same one.
The one who was selling the food to the bloody farmers, remember?
Shut her down.
Doing the fake Ukraine trip, remember?”

The evidence now available – including video proof of aid delivery at the Polish border – stands in direct contradiction to the repeated narrative pushed by Jayne’s Baby Bank. We encourage new readers to consult the full record for a comprehensive understanding of these matters.

13 thought on ““I Had to Speak Out”: Whistleblower Lifts Lid on Baby Bank Donation Scandal”
  1. Today – Jayne’s Baby Bank Facebook Claims vs Documented Evidence

Jayne’s Baby Bank posted the following on Facebook:

“…we got this charity shut down because of miss use of funds and not accounting, behaviour and abuse and using our name in a fake Ukraine appeal. Grant given for portacabin £5000 misused to by a bus… Clamp removal fee by dvla £450… farmers paying £40 a carefull of fareshare food other charities were collecting for her because she doesn’t drive…”

From the records, transcripts, and press reports available, several contradictions and factual corrections emerge:

11 Dec 2021 — Wales Online confirms Nicola Williams raised ~£5,000 through public fundraising and purchased a bus for ~£4,300. This was openly reported, not concealed, contradicting the claim of “misuse.” No evidence exists that the National Lottery provided this money, as alleged by JBB.
19 Mar 2022 — Nicola: “It looks like I’m doing it and I’m not. I don’t need any more abuse please state on the post it is not for the bus or Cwtch Up.” JBB replied: “Nobody tells me what to do.” This shows Nicola distancing her charity from JBB’s activity, while JBB refused to stop.
1 Apr 2022 — Nicola: “Take my fucking name off anything you share I am not involved in any of your dodgy dealings. If it’s not off within the next half hour I ringing the police. Stop using my charity name and number too.” JBB responded: “Ring the police. I will tell them everything.” This exchange confirms Nicola’s repeated withdrawal of consent, while JBB continued to attach her name to activity she had disowned.
4 Jul 2022 — Nicola: “I told you a million times don’t take clothes for Ukraine… they won’t go through customs.” JBB answered: “We haven’t taken ones for the Ukraine. That’s the Baby Bank donations.” Nicola’s stance was consistent: she refused clothes for Ukraine, which directly undermines later claims she was selling them for cash.
Apr 2022 — OLIO account “Cerii” terminated. In transcripts, JBB stated: “Cerri Price. Dan James Price. Gareth Saunders. That’s my kids’ names.” This ties the “Cerii” account directly to Carrie Anne Ridsdale (operating publicly as Jayne Price) and her family. It shows she herself used aliases to hijack food collections, even as she accused Nicola of “FareShare food misuse.”
24 Mar 2023 — JBB wrote: “Police have referred me to social services. Do you think that’s because they arrested me and fucked up big time?” This highlights that official attention had been directed at JBB, not at Nicola, contradicting their narrative of policing outcomes.
2023 — Nicola records video at Przemyśl, 10 km from Ukraine, delivering aid to a Red Cross-linked midwife. This verified evidence directly disproves JBB’s repeated “fake Ukraine appeal” claims.
Sep 2025 — JBB’s financial claims resurface: “Clamp removal fee £450… farmers paying £40 for FareShare food.” DVLA official tariffs: £100 clamp release, up to £200 removal, £40–£70 per day storage. Maximum on day one would be ~£260–£290. The £450 figure quoted by JBB is inflated beyond DVLA’s published fees. Records confirm the bus was clamped, but the actual amount charged was not disclosed.

    Key points

    • Cwtch-Up was a registered charity (1194295) that closed voluntarily due to harassment and risk. There is no evidence JBB “shut it down.”
    • The £5,000 fundraising and bus purchase were transparent and covered by Wales Online. The claim of a National Lottery grant is speculative and unsupported.
    • DVLA clamp fees are clearly defined (£100 release, £200 removal, £40–£70 storage). JBB’s claimed £450 charge exceeds statutory tariffs, undermining the reliability of their wider cost allegations. The bus was clamped, but the actual cost remains undisclosed.
    • Transcripts show Nicola repeatedly demanded her name and charity number be removed from JBB’s activity. She also warned about customs restrictions, especially regarding clothes. Her consistent refusal of clothes for Ukraine contradicts JBB’s later claim that she sold them for profit.
    • JBB’s “FareShare food” allegation is contradicted by their own OLIO account activity. Evidence ties Carrie Anne Ridsdale (a.k.a. Jayne Price) and her family to the “Cerii” alias used to collect food under false names.
    • JBB admitted in transcripts: “Nobody tells me what to do” and “We haven’t taken any clothes since last week!” These statements show knowledge of disputed collections, despite denials.
    • Allegations of selling toiletries, food, or donations remain unsupported by documentation. No receipts or audited records have been provided.
    • Nicola’s video evidence at the Poland–Ukraine border remains the strongest factual rebuttal to the “fake Ukraine appeal” narrative. It confirms aid was delivered into Ukraine to a Red Cross-linked midwife.

  2. I have screenshots of her stealing Olio food as “Jayne” from 2024. She was posting on Facebook that it had been donated to her “charity” and asking volunteers to go to Iceland and Tesco as she’s “snagged some slots”. I reported and got that account banned from Olio and contacted fareshare directly to make them aware of her stealing food and claiming to be a charity. She had tried to set up a Fareshare Go account. She hasn’t stopped stealing food she just keeps making fake accounts on Olio and claiming that it’s Fareshare food. Judging from some recent posts she’s at it again. More than willing to send you over the evidence to add to your growing file!

    1. Think she was getting food from tesco in Trethomas at one point, I’m sure it was on the local residents page. Someone was a point of contact for her in the village and would offer the extras out for free.

  3. DISCLOSURE: https://jaynesbabybank.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/JaynesBabyBank_vs_NicolaWilliams_Transcript.pdf

The above is a transcript of exchanges between Nicola Williams and Jayne’s Baby Bank in relation to the Ukraine appeal, donations, and distribution. It is unfiltered and dated as accurately as possible given the available records. The messages highlight repeated attempts by Nicola to distance herself and her charity from Jayne’s activities.

    Some notable excerpts include:

Nicola Williams: “This needs to stop I’m the one looking bad and I can’t do it.” (19 March)

Nicola Williams: “It looks like I’m doing it and I’m not. I don’t need any more abuse please state on the post it is not for the bus or Cwtch Up. Cos I am going to be the one getting in trouble.” (19 March)

Nicola Williams: “Take my fucking name off anything you share I am not involved in any of your dodgy dealings. If its not off within the next half hour I ringing the police. Stop using my charity name and number too.” (1 April)

Nicola Williams: “I did say a million times you didn’t listen. I told you a million times don’t take clothes for Ukraine. I told you a million times no used or open stuff. They won’t go through customs.” (4 July)

These records show Nicola raising concerns over misuse of her charity details, explicit withdrawal of consent, and warnings about potential fraud risk. Despite this, Jayne’s Baby Bank appears to have continued associating its activities with Nicola and her organisation, leading to the disputes now in the public domain.

  4. JBB: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=781323591322395&id=100083342834915

Whilst the video from Jayne’s Baby Bank was streamed less than ten minutes ago, it is important to note that we have just published an update including footage recorded at the refugee centre in Przemyśl, approximately 10 km from Ukraine. This material, taken by Nicola, shows her presence on the ground and directly refutes claims that the Ukraine appeal “never took place.”

    In Jayne’s broadcast she stated:

“The baby bank donations, you took them Nicola. You stole them for your fake Ukraine appeal. You used our name to get the baby bank donations.”

The newly released footage is now part of the public record and should be considered when assessing the accuracy of such statements.

    1. Carrie Anne Ridsdale states numerous times that she has never liked nor met Hayley Thomas of HCT, yet on her 12th September ramblings she states that she met Hayley Thomas and thought she was an amazing woman!

  5. This has been going on for month/years. I for one cannot see anything happening to Jayne or what ever her name is. Charity Commission not interested, Police not interested, not sure what the Council are doing. She is going to get away with it as normal.

  6. IMAGE: https://jaynesbabybank.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vulnerable.png

“these people forget that I am actually a registered vulnerable adult due to being ill and if they exploit me and take advantage of my that will end up in a criminal case and have repercussions on them.”

Rebuttal: Being classed as a vulnerable adult does not give anyone a free pass to exploit others or mislead the public. Vulnerability status is meant to protect people from abuse, not to be used as a shield when their own conduct is questioned.

The record of contradictions speaks for itself:

    • Operating under multiple different names and aliases to obscure accountability.
    • Claiming to have worked as a teaching assistant for years, yet Freedom of Information responses confirm no registration exists.
    • Repeatedly stating she holds nursing or degree-level qualifications, yet no records can be found to support those claims.
    • Contradictory statements about health — claiming to be severely ill and “palliative,” while simultaneously running multiple busy shops and livestreaming daily.

Bottom line: You cannot use the label of “vulnerable” to justify deception or to silence fair criticism. If the qualifications and claims were genuine, verifiable evidence would already exist. Until then, the contradictions only undermine your own credibility.

    1. Her latest Tik Tok video is absolutely disgusting. Her language shows her true colours! She is not the type of person that people should follow. She is a disgrace to the human race.

  7. SOURCE: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=781139074674180&id=100083342834915

Jayne’s BabyBank has issued a reply regarding the article, including images that show messages exchanged between Nicola and “Jayne”. It is worth noting that Nicola clearly withdrew consent (telling Jayne to stop multiple times). She identified risk early on (referencing Charity Commission involvement and saying she did not want to “go to jail”). In frustration, Nicola also used abusive language; what is not shown is that during this period Jayne was launching social media abuse against Cwtch-Up for going against her.

The baby bank in question will have supporters who may be unaware that the article includes images indicating the use of false names while also representing herself as her own daughter, her son with a fictitious surname, and an associate who, to our knowledge, is not her son. Carrie presented collections under the guise of “Jayne” being an older mother, while Carrie, Daniel and the previously named party were presented as her children.

Sadly, surface-level threats and insults risk overshadowing the context that is visible in the shared images — for example: https://jaynesbabybank.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nicola000.jpg

UPDATE: We’ve been informed that Nicola has denied the images shared by “Jayne” are of her.
