There is an ongoing effort to erase any past claims of being a charity shop. In a Facebook post today (source), the self-proclaimed Jayne’s Mother & Baby Bank, Food Bank & Charity Shop now denies this, stating, “We are not a charity shop. We are a non-profit vintage, antique, and collectable shop.”
Why the sudden change? Simply put—looming legal consequences, including but not limited to financial scrutiny regarding the shop’s income and expenditures. While attempting to distance herself from previous claims of being a charity shop, she seems to have overlooked a crucial detail: her registered trademark is under “JAYNE’S BABY BANK & CHARITY SHOP” (source) in Class 36, designated for “Charitable fundraising.” Additionally, the trademark is categorized as “Figurative,” meaning it includes an image that explicitly refers to a charity shop.
We can also use Google as a confirmation of previous claims of a charity shop (source).
We also have past TikTok videos as evidence supporting the charity’s claims.
when my Dad says I need to get a real job! I’m retired. director of one of the largest children’s charity’s in Wales and an influencer! 🤣
Regarding her blatant disregard for the law, during a past livestream rant, “Jayne Price” remarked;
And other charities, and other little groups, you are the ones that we’re gonna take down. Because I don’t answer to nobody. I don’t answer to the charity commission. I don’t answer to the council. I don’t answer to the police. I don’t answer to nobody, and they know that. And I will take you down if you bother me or you bother anybody else.
To silence any discussion about her activities, JBB has launched a “trademark infringement” campaign, stating, “A breach of our trademark can be settled out of court for £2,500 and a public apology on social media.” (source)
Since the trademark is categorized as “figurative” rather than a word mark, any infringement would pertain specifically to the use of the entire image, including the phrases “JAYNE’S BABY BANK & CHARITY SHOP” as a whole, rather than any single element such as “Jayne’s Baby Bank” in isolation. Figurative trademarks protect the design, stylization, and overall composition, meaning unauthorized use must be assessed in the context of the complete visual representation, not just individual words within it.
Update:
To ease tensions sparked by this post, the self-proclaimed “vintage, antique, and collectible shop” is taking steps to address the situation by modifying all signage related to her questionable trademark. (Source)
Notably, the sign held by Daniel himself reads “Foodbank,” while the current trademark states “Baby Bank & Charity Shop.”. We would also like to highlight the following historical data from Facebook, [source] — [backup].
Update:
Jayne Price has a Google account under the name “The Alchemist.” Viewing the photos attached to the business listing for Jayne’s Baby Bank, Foodbank Fundraising Charity Shop Blackwood, we can see the old charity shop banners (source) displayed in the window, dated September 2024.
Update:
We can also confirm that the property at 5 Crane Street, Pontypool High Street, had “Charity Shop” listed in the window. Additionally, the Savills Property Auctions website features images displaying this designation. Furthermore, we have obtained rental contracts from Savill Properties, which show her real name on the lease agreement.
Is Ms Ridsdale authorised to hand out contraception as seen in her latest video!
Arthur,
We are aware that she has been distributing contraception. In our honest opinion, we believe this is a good thing, especially considering today’s youth. However, there are no regulations in the UK regarding who can distribute condoms. Prescription items, however, are a different matter.

S.
Surely this is something trading standards can take a look at?
She is authorised to trade, by trading standards under 3 councils, Caerphilly, Torfean and BG. This is a fake page. The baby bank is the largest in South Wales helping 1000s of families. This page is set up by two charities that are jealous of her success. Hct and Community Volunteers Wales previously RCV. Two 50+ year old woman with plastic surgery bullying a younger woman.
Linda,
The “David Jones” profile is actually a fake account created by Jayne Price of JBB. If you review our posts, you’ll see that the council has refuted her claims multiple times. Additionally, we’ve traced the original profile picture she uses on Facebook—it’s actually an image of a man from Russia, not Risca.
For transparency, though we’ve withheld this information for some time, it’s important to note that “David” has been accessing Jayne Price’s phone to share Facebook conversations, seemingly to mock mothers in need. Furthermore, the IP address used by this account falls within the same range previously associated with her and her son.
All communications have been logged for potential legal action.
Best,
Sherlock
Funny how ‘David Jones’ uses the same mantra that ‘Jayne Price’ uses practically on a daily basis. What is her obsession with 50 year old women!
Another thing that puzzles me is the fact that she claims to have been a profit protection advisor to massive retail companies at the age of 16! She also claims, among other nursing jobs, which I think is highly questionable, to have a degree in micro biology and various other diplomas, but her spelling and grammar is atrocious! This woman is an out and out liar.
Arthur,
She has a history of misrepresenting her qualifications. Her current public Facebook profile lists the following: BA Hons Nursing (Cardiff University), NHS Nursing Professional, Biochemistry Diploma, CACHE Level 3 Child Care & Education, Teaching Assistant Level 3 (Autism & Behavioral Support), Profit Protection Advisor, and experience in food bank management & fundraising.
If you visit our transcripts page [here](https://jaynesbabybank.co.uk/transcripts/), you’ll find this video: [qualifications clip](https://jaynesbabybank.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/qualifications-.mp4), where she states, *”Somebody posted something with facts and figures about infant death earlier. So I took it off because the person isn’t qualified to discuss that.”* We find this statement both misleading and offensive.
We can also verify that she is not registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council by searching their official register at (https://www.nmc.org.uk/registration/search-the-register/).
