Members of the Facebook group Jayne’s Baby Bank Exposed alerted us today to a repossession notice that had been affixed to the shutter of the former Jayne’s Baby Bank premises at 68 Tredegar Street, Risca.
Photographs of the notice were initially shared by group members, including Sarah Williams and Lorraine Reynolds, who documented the notice shortly after it appeared. Additional images were subsequently posted by other local residents, allowing the wording and placement of the notice to be independently verified from multiple angles.
The images appear to show a notice stating that the property has been repossessed by the landlord due to non-payment of rent.
The notice states:
“This property has been repossessed by the landlord due to non-payment of rent.”
The notice further advises that any former tenant or representative must contact the landlord or their representative and that access to the premises is by appointment only.
Following receipt of the photographs, we reviewed publicly available Land Registry records to verify that the premises identified by group members corresponded with the property shown in the images.
The records reviewed were consistent with the property referenced in the notice. Ownership details have been redacted and are not being published, as they are not necessary for reporting the existence of the repossession notice.
The appearance of the notice adds to the growing body of publicly documented information concerning properties previously associated with Jayne’s Baby Bank. As with previous reporting, this publication is limited to documenting evidence that can be independently reviewed and verified.
At the time of publication, we have identified no public statement explaining the circumstances surrounding the notice or confirming the current status of the tenancy.
Should additional documentary evidence, statements, or records become available, this article will be updated accordingly.
