A Pattern of Deception and Misrepresentation

Document Classification: Public Interest Investigation
Compiled by: Sherlock
Date Range: Evidence collected 2022–2025
Last Update: 02/10/2025

Executive Summary

This report presents a comprehensive investigation into Carrie-Anne Ridsdale (operating under multiple aliases including “Jayne Price”) and her organisation “Jaynes Baby Bank.” Based on extensive documentation, Freedom of Information Act requests, official correspondence, and recorded statements, this report reveals a systematic pattern of deception, misrepresentation, and activities consistent with fraudulent misrepresentation under UK law targeting vulnerable families across South Wales. Recent publicly available materials further evidence false advertising as a “charity shop” in social media videos and the misrepresentation of commercial awards as organisational “accreditation”, reinforcing the ongoing nature of the conduct.

“I don’t answer to the charity commission. I don’t answer to the council. I don’t answer to the police. I don’t answer to nobody, and they know that. And I will take you down if you bother me or you bother anybody else.”

Key Findings

  • Intentional charity fraud: Deliberate operation of charity shops without registration to avoid oversight
  • False professional credentials: Fabricated nursing qualifications and medical authority claims
  • Systematic harassment: Organized intimidation campaigns against critics and vulnerable individuals
  • Financial deception: Misleading fundraising while charging for advertised “free” services
  • Public safety violations: Dangerous operations including illegal weapon collection and medical impersonation
  • Data crimes: Widespread privacy violations and defamatory content creation
  • Manufactured legitimacy: False or misleading advertising portraying operations as a registered charity, and inflating project-level CSR awards into “accreditation” claims.

1. Identity Deception and Multiple Personas

The Subject Access Request Self-Exposure

In a catastrophic lapse of judgment, Ridsdale live-streamed herself reviewing her Subject Access Request from Caerphilly County Borough Council, inadvertently exposing critical evidence of her systematic identity deception. The 398-page document revealed multiple names being used across official investigations.

Documented Identity Variations:

  • Legal Birth Name: Carrie-anne Ridsdale
  • Electoral Roll: Carrie A Ridsdale (2013–2016, 2023–2024)
  • Property Records: J. RIDSDALE, Ceri-Anne Ridsdale, Anne Ridsdale
  • Business Operations: Jayne Price, Jayne-Anne Price, Carianne Risdale
  • Other Aliases: The Alchemist Magician, The Forever Home Rescue and Sanctuary

Legal Contract Identity Fraud:
A lease agreement dated January 17, 2023, for 5 Crane Street, Pontypool (one of her current operating locations) lists the tenant as “Miss Jayne-Anne Carrie-Anne Ridsdale” – demonstrating systematic use of fabricated compound names in legal documents to obscure her true identity while maintaining plausible connection to her birth name.

Official Investigation Documents:
Trading Standards papers show both identities: “Jayne Price and Carianne Risdale,” proving authorities are aware of the dual identity deception but she continues operating under false personas publicly.

Property History and Eviction Pattern

Investigation reveals a pattern of property abandonment under different names, including eviction from the Aberbargoed location under “Ceri-Ann Ridsdale” and documented disputes at the Blackwood location where she admitted to deliberately removing security locks.

2. The Charity Registration Fraud

Deliberate Avoidance of Legal Requirements

In a deleted video from February 13, 2024, Ridsdale explicitly admitted to avoiding charity registration to prevent accountability:

“We had a meeting yesterday with another charity about our charity registration and I don’t want to get the charity registration at the moment because number one we don’t need it as a food bank and number two they only want the charity number, the haters, so they can report us.”

The “Awaiting Charity Status” Deception

Business registration documents show “Operator charity number: Awaiting” — a status maintained for years while illegally operating multiple charity shops. This provides false legitimacy while avoiding actual compliance obligations.

Social Media Branding as a “Charity Shop”

Two widely circulated videos present Jayne’s Baby Bank as a “Giant Charity Shop” and a network of “massive charity stores”, despite there being no corresponding entry on the Charity Commission register for the names used by the operator. The clips were posted to Facebook and TikTok with Jayne’s Baby Bank branding, using third-party audio to imply charitable status. This constitutes misleading actions/omissions under the UK Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and may also breach the ASA/CAP Code governing charity-linked promotions. It further risks offending the Charities Act 1992 s.63 where money or property is solicited while representing an organisation as a registered charity when it is not.

Social Media Charity Shop Claims:
Facebook profile evidence shows her listing employment as “Works at Jayne’s Mother and Baby Bank, Food Bank and Charity Shop” while simultaneously denying charity status when challenged by authorities. This demonstrates systematic public deception about the nature of her operations.

Brand Diversions: “Jarmani’s Charity Boutique”

On the 1st of October 2025, a sign for “Jarmani’s Charity Boutique” was photographed attached to the side of a Salvation Army clothing bank in the Morrisons Caerphilly car park. The sign advertised a shop at 14 Pentrebane Street, the most recently opened Caerphilly branch (launched in June 2025), claiming daily donations accepted and that “100% of profit goes into helping mothers in the community.” Transcript evidence and public posts confirm that Jarmani’s is another trading style of Jayne’s Baby Bank, variously framed as a charity shop, charity pending, or not a charity shop depending on context.

“Risca shop is open Monday to Saturday this week 10am-5pm minimum. New stock daily! 🙈🙈 tell all your friends that we are cheaper than most charity shops and the Jarmarni’s Charity Boutique is up and running! Time to grab a bargain because all my volunteers and customers have said I’ve priced the designer stuffs way too cheap! 🙈🙈 when it’s gone! It’s gone!” (Facebook Post)

“Pontypool J’armarnis Charity Boutique officially open.” (Facebook Post)

“JARMANI’S Charity boutique on its way….” (Facebook Video)

The inconsistency is material. Under the Charities Act 2011 an organisation must not present itself as a registered charity unless it is. Under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, misleading consumers into believing they are supporting a charity when no such registration exists may constitute an offence. Branding a shop as “Jarmani’s Charity Boutique” without valid charitable status risks deceiving donors and customers.

Universal Official Denials

Every relevant authority has denied association:

  • Charity Commission: Two applications rejected for non-compliance
  • Baby Bank Alliance: Confirmed non-membership
  • Fundraising Regulator: Cannot meet basic registration requirements
  • Local Councils: No authorization for charity operations

3. False Medical Credentials and Professional Impersonation

The Nursing Qualification Fabrication

Ridsdale has constructed elaborate lies about nursing credentials, claiming to hold qualifications that have never existed.

The Fundamental Deception:
Claims of holding a “BA Hons Nursing” degree from Cardiff University — a qualification the university confirmed has never existed in their academic catalog.

In multiple public livestreams and transcripts, Ridsdale claimed she was “accepted to every university [she] applied for with an unconditional offer” and that she was offered a “Learning Difficulties nurse position” during interviews. She also repeatedly states: “I studied nursing at Cardiff University” — a claim that conflicts with Cardiff University’s own records and known programme requirements.

She has also described completing “a diploma in biochem with distinction” and an “Advanced Level 3 in Health and Social Care” — suggesting these qualifications formed the basis for her entry into university-level study. However, these claims do not equate to an accredited nursing degree or registered practitioner status.

Professional Registration Search Results:

  • Nursing and Midwifery Council: No record of registration
  • SCWOnline Database: No social care qualifications
  • NHS Employment: No verified employment history

False Medical Claims and Health Contradictions

Palliative Care Category Deception:
In a Facebook post dated December 23, 2022, Ridsdale claimed:

“After a recent MRI, I am still in the palliative category – most of you know that I have a massive tumor and aplastic anemia which is a rare blood and bone marrow cancer.”

This statement contains two major inaccuracies:

  • Aplastic anaemia is not a cancer. It is a bone marrow failure disorder where blood cell production is reduced.
  • Her own later transcripts contradict the “palliative” claim, as she stated that “the tumour has shrunk, the aplastic anaemia is being controlled, and the other disorders are being controlled.”

Misuse of the Cancer Act:
She has repeatedly invoked the Cancer Act 1939 to claim protected status:

“And I am protected by multiple acts under the Law, the Equality Act, the Cancer Act.”

“I am a registered vulnerable adult under the Cancer Act.”

The Cancer Act 1939 restricts advertising of cancer treatments. It does not register individuals or provide personal legal protection. These claims are legally false.

Timeline Contradictions:
Despite presenting herself as terminally ill and “shielding” during the pandemic due to a “massive tumour and aplastic anaemia,” she simultaneously managed multiple shopfronts, warehouses, and donation operations, often boasting of working “seven days a week.”

Transcript Contradictions on Health Claims

Direct quotes from her own videos and posts highlight further inconsistencies:

“Now, bottom of your spine is where the bone marrow makes red blood cells… I then developed aplastic anemia, which affects the production of red blood cells and other blood cells.”

This pseudo-medical explanation is inaccurate and used to connect a localised tumour to systemic marrow failure.

“Saying somebody has ovarian cancer and bone marrow cancer when they don’t… is malicious communication.”

Yet elsewhere she herself claims to be in the “palliative category” with aplastic anaemia presented as a cancer. This directly contradicts her own narrative.

“If you know me you will know I have been seriously unwell with a tumour and aplastic anemia since well before 2015.”

This is undermined by evidence of her running retail operations during the same period.

“Because I have got conditions that are long-term palliative, yeah, because I’m never going to get cured from my plastic anemia.”

Again, aplastic anaemia is not incurable cancer but a treatable marrow disorder.

Educational Claims Inconsistencies

Her Facebook profile lists education at multiple institutions including “Studied at Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly” yet in livestream comments dated January 14, she claimed:

“I did my nursing degree in 2016.”

This conflicts with her documented work history and earlier statements that she only held diplomas.

Despite claiming severe disabilities requiring a mobility vehicle (2023 Nissan LEAF Tekna, valued over £30,000, Registration: CK73 MPF, financed through Motability Finance Ltd), video evidence shows full physical capability while operating extensive business activities “seven days a week” across multiple locations in South Wales.

Extensive Health Claims:
Over 15 serious conditions including blood cancers, diabetes, autism, and mobility limitations are claimed, yet her demonstrated capacity in retail, logistics, and warehouse operations remains intact, creating a significant credibility gap.

Government Warning Violation

On 12 May 2025, the UK government issued specific guidance stating: “Anyone misleading the public and describing themselves as a nurse without the relevant qualifications and registration will be committing a crime under new measures announced by the government to protect the title ‘nurse’ in law.”
Despite this warning, Ridsdale continues presenting herself as a qualified nurse, making claims including:

  • “I AM A QUALIFIED HEALTH PRACTITIONER, I can make the decision if Mothers need help”
  • “I’ve nursed and cared for patients with lung cancer”
  • “I spent time as a student on a chemo/haematology ward”

The CPD Certificate Fraud

When challenged, Ridsdale posted certificates claiming they validated nursing credentials. Investigation revealed these were attendance certificates from free single-day events at the Village Hotel in Cardiff, not academic qualifications.

False Claims of SEN Classroom Assistant Experience

Ridsdale also claimed she worked for 12 years in a classroom assistant role in an ASD/SEN resource base. However, a Freedom of Information response from the Education Workforce Council (EWC) confirms no such registration exists for her under any known aliases.
Registration with the EWC is a legal requirement in Wales for anyone working in a classroom assistant role — especially in specialist SEN environments. The EWC’s public register is definitive, and the absence of her name indicates her claim of 12 years of service is not credible.
While short-term informal volunteering may not require registration, 12 continuous years of unregistered service is both highly irregular and contrary to safeguarding expectations. This provides further evidence of deliberate misrepresentation of professional experience.

4. Predatory Practices Targeting Vulnerable Families

Dangerous Social Services Misinformation Campaign

Ridsdale systematically discourages vulnerable mothers from accessing legitimate professional support, characterizing social services as threatening while positioning her unregulated operation as safer:

“If you go through a professional, you’ll probably get referred to social services just for asking for help. And our mothers don’t want that. Last thing they want is the Gestapo turning up on their doorstep, threatening to take their kids”

False Affiliation with the Trussell Trust

Ridsdale has repeatedly claimed that Jayne’s Baby Bank is connected to the Trussell Trust, including issuing referrals and receiving donations directly from them. These statements were made publicly on video between 2023 and 2025.
However, the Trussell Trust formally denied any such affiliation. In direct response to an enquiry, they confirmed:

“Jayne’s Baby Bank is not a Trussell foodbank and has never been. It does not fundraise or distribute food that has been donated to Trussell on behalf of any Trussell foodbanks in Wales, neither does it fundraise or distribute emergency food on behalf of Trussell.”

False Authority Claims

Ridsdale continues to claim professional authority to assess need without oversight. For example, she has publicly stated:

“Jayne’s Baby Bank is a qualified baby bank. I don’t need a social worker to tell me you need help — I have studied nursing with elements of midwifery, children’s nursing and social care. I’ve even spent a week in the bird cage (if you know you know!) in Cardiff prison studying nursing!”

She also claimed in one video that she was offered a learning disabilities nurse position during university interviews, stating:

“I was also offered [a] learning difficulties nurse position in the interview for the application process by the University of South Wales.”

These statements are used to justify her role in issuing help, yet remain unverified — and contradict official findings from regulatory bodies (see Section 3).

Food Bank Hypocrisy

Ridsdale has publicly condemned other organisations for charging vulnerable people for food, stating:

“Foodbanks don’t charge vulnerable people for food. If you are paying for food at a ‘foodbank/pantry’ they are a food business. Wake up. Stop supporting them profiting off vulnerable people and children.”

Despite this, she has repeatedly advertised £5 “Too Good To Go” bags on social media, including recent posts at her Risca and Pontypool locations — directly contradicting her stated opposition to monetised food distribution.
Despite this, Ridsdale stated in July 2023, “The Trussell Trust know us, they’re happy for us to make food bank referrals, you see.” and again in 2025 claimed they contacted her to distribute baby food and nappies nearing expiry.
These contradictory public assertions are provably false and contribute to the deceptive narrative presented to the public about her legitimacy and partnerships. This misrepresentation risks misleading donors and beneficiaries who associate Trussell Trust with legitimate charitable work.

Whistleblower Evidence – Cwtch-Up

Nicola Williams, 46, from Caerau, was the founder of the now-closed registered charity Cwtch-Up (1194295). She has decided to go public with evidence which she says raises serious concerns about the way food and clothing donations were being handled by another group, Jayne’s Baby Bank.
During the year Cwtch-Up was active, Nicola states the charity delivered more than 200,000 meals locally. She says her decision to speak out was driven by the risk posed to her own organisation and by the behaviour she witnessed.
The material she has provided includes screenshots of conversations, social media posts, photographs of donated goods, and email exchanges. These date back to 2022 and have been shared by Williams in her role as a whistleblower.

“I was pressured to take part, and I refused. My charity was at risk, and when I started to push back, the threats and lies began. This isn’t about helping families – it became about power and control.”

1. Food and Goods in Large Quantities

Photographs show large amounts of food packed into green crates — tins, packets, and bottles stacked in cars and inside homes. One image shows a woman crouched down in front of crates in a hallway, inspecting tins.

“They have to make 2 journeys so I have to contain my excitement 😂.”
“Shssssds 🤫.”

2. Disputes Over OLIO Collections

Screenshots from OLIO, the food-sharing app, show that a user named Cerii had her collection privileges revoked:

“Cerii, your collection has come to an end… you will be removed from this group… Cerii has ended their collection with immediate effect.”

In a Messenger exchange, Jayne lists family members:

“Cerri Price. Dan James Price. Gareth Saunders. That’s my kids’ names.”

Clarification on identities: The account “Cerii Price” refers to Jayne Price, whose real name is Carrie Anne Ridsdale. The name “Dan James Price” refers to her son, Daniel James, also known as Daniel Ridsdale. This confirms that the OLIO collection account “Cerii” was directly tied to Carrie Anne Ridsdale (operating as Jayne) and her immediate family.

“Cerii may have taken it already, warn her. Her One Stops are saying the same too.”

3. Public Threats and Intimidation

Jayne’s Baby Bank’s Facebook page features a post targeting another individual, showing a photo of food crates in a car with an edited image of a man making an obscene gesture.

“Unlucky bitch! My volunteers took that food from under your nose! I don’t care who you are, if you are sitting on this food and not feeding vulnerable people with it… I’m coming for you.”

Text overlaid on the image itself states:

“Unlucky bitch you have no idea who I am.”

4. Private Disputes and Denials

In private Messenger chats, Jayne responds to accusations with laughter and denial.

“Lmao I havnt. Shut up is that what she said to you 😂😂😂.”
“Why would I lie. I’ve got two accounts myself.”

5. Risk to Charities

Nicola, in several messages, expresses concern about her own registered charity being implicated:

“I’m not doing any more. My charity is at risk. So get Deb — she’s not a charity and has nothing to lose.”
“I’m not taking it, I’m under investigation.”

Jayne replies with apparent indifference:

“I just asked her now. What’s the update with them?”

6. References to Police and Social Services

In a separate message exchange, Jayne writes:

“Police have referred me to social services. Do you think that’s because they arrested me and fucked up big time?”

7. International Donations

Another screenshot shows Jayne discussing aid collections:

“If any Ukraine stuff gets dropped off to you and you haven’t got room keep it for me coz we have a second appeal down here.”

Emails between Nicola and an independent contact (“Sherlock”) add further detail. Sherlock emailed Nicola after seeing a post by Jayne’s Baby Bank asking for sponsorship of a shipping container to support “Mothers in Uganda.”
The post claimed:

“Any companies or members of the public that would like to sponsor a shipping container rent for 1 year at a time – to collect and store for Mothers in need in Uganda?… We have been doing this unofficially for 5 years… Mother in Uganda need car seats, bottles, clothes, nappies, washable nappies and everything else a Mum also needs.”

Nicola strongly denied involvement:

“No not involved in any of her dodginess. She got involved with my Ukraine stuff and I think she used the Uganda thing so she could get away with stealing my donations.”

She added:

“I don’t believe she had any contacts or sent anything to Uganda. She said it to one up Ukraine. She needed shipping containers to fill with the stuff she was hoarding. She bought a 7.5-ton box lorry that wasn’t running — it was parked by her house at one point.”

Nicola also alleged:

“She had made a letter headed paper and written a letter to give to businesses to collect stuff for me to take to Ukraine. I told her countless times to stop cos she was using my charity number and keeping the donations herself.”

What the Evidence Shows

  • Multiple images of large amounts of donated food and goods being held in homes and vehicles.
  • Group chat messages showing Jayne encouraging others to take risks and “do what it takes” to obtain items.
  • OLIO records and Messenger chats linking Jayne’s family accounts to cancelled food collections under false names.
  • Public posts containing threats and abusive language aimed at others.
  • Private exchanges where Nicola states her charity was at risk, while Jayne continues to push for involvement.
  • Mentions of police and social services involvement from Jayne herself.
  • References to Ukraine and Uganda donations being diverted or misrepresented.

Chronological Timeline of Key Events (Based on Evidence and Records)

Early 2022 – Large Collections Documented

“They have to make 2 journeys so I have to contain my excitement 😂.”

March–April 2022 – Direction to “Do What It Takes”

“I told her do what it takes.” “Shssssds 🤫.”

April 2022 – Nicola Refuses Further Involvement

“I’m not doing any more. My charity is at risk.” “I’m not taking it, I’m under investigation.”

April 2022 – OLIO Account “Cerii” Terminated

“Cerri Price. Dan James Price. Gareth Saunders. That’s my kids’ names.”

This ties the account directly to Carrie Anne Ridsdale (Jayne) and her son, Daniel James (Daniel Ridsdale).

Mid 2022 – Public Threat Posted

“Unlucky bitch! My volunteers took that food from under your nose… I’m coming for you.”

Later 2022 – Police and Social Services Mentioned

“Police have referred me to social services. Do you think that’s because they arrested me and fucked up big time?”

2022–2023 – Ukraine and Uganda Claims Disputed

Nicola asserts that Jayne’s Baby Bank misused her charity number and fabricated overseas donation efforts. She alleges Uganda was invoked as a cover for hoarding or selling donations.

Early 2023 – Cwtch-Up Closes

Nicola’s registered charity ceases operation, citing harassment, risks, and investigation pressure.

2023 – Aid to Ukraine Verified

Nicola records footage at the refugee centre in Przemyśl (10 km from Ukraine, near the Medyka–Shehyni border crossing). From there she crosses into Ukraine to deliver aid to a midwife. The midwife used a Polish Red Cross ambulance to transport the supplies while evacuating Ukrainians in urgent medical need. For safety and privacy reasons, this footage will not be released publicly.

2024–2025 – Jayne’s Baby Bank Repeats “Fake Ukraine” Narrative

Public posts repeatedly accuse Nicola of a “fake Ukraine appeal,” claiming her charity was “shut down” and alleging fraud. These claims appear in January 2024, September 2025, and again on 29 September 2025.

September 2025 – Counter-Evidence Published

Nicola’s video evidence emerges, contradicting Jayne’s claims. Sherlock documents the history of allegations alongside proof of aid delivery at the border.

5. Public Safety Threats

Health and Safety Violations

Official Inspection Findings:

  • Caerphilly Council eight-page safety report documented unsafe storage, pest harboring conditions, and customer injuries
  • Food safety violations requiring structural improvements
  • Blocked sanitation facilities during public operations

Illegal Weapon Collection Programme

In 2024, operated unauthorized knife amnesty stating: “We’re going to hold a knife and weapon armistice surrender for young people… We’re gonna turn the CCTV off”
This violated the Offensive Weapons Act 2019, which restricts such activities to authorized and police-approved locations.

Unqualified Medical Services

Despite no verified training, she has distributed prescription medications including Naloxone and offered counseling and mental health services, potentially endangering public health through impersonation of medical professionals.

Drug-Impaired Driving

Video evidence documents Ridsdale operating a vehicle while openly discussing being under the influence of morphine. In one video, she slurs her speech while stating:

“I’ve taken morphine this morning and I’m gonna need more this afternoon.”

This directly violates NHS and DVLA guidance and constitutes potential endangerment to public safety under the Road Traffic Act 1988.

6. Legal Violations and Regulatory Breaches

Charity Shop Operations Without Legal Authority

UK charity law explicitly requires registration for charity shop operations. According to the Charity Commission for England and Wales and the Charity Excellence Framework:

“Any organisation with annual income above £5,000 that presents itself as a charity must register with the Charity Commission.”

With documented council grant income exceeding £10,528 — and ongoing operations across 4–5 physical retail locations — Ridsdale’s operations far exceed the legal threshold.

Trading Standards Investigations

FareShare Cymru confirmed via official statement:

“Jayne Price/Cerianne Ridsdale is not registered with us for FareShare Cymru collections.”

Despite this, Jayne’s Baby Bank continued to imply partnerships with food redistribution networks in social media videos and on printed materials — a potential violation of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.

Misleading Advertising & “Accreditation” Claims

Across multiple posts (28 December 2024, 4 February 2025, 23 September 2025) the operator claimed Jayne’s Baby Bank had “won a sustainability award by the CRS Accreditation,” presenting it as an accreditation of the organisation. In reality, this refers to the CSR Awards administered by The Green Organisation — a commercial, project-level awards scheme that does not confer accreditation or endorse an entity as a whole. Correspondence from the organiser confirms awards are for specific projects only and do not amount to organisational endorsement. Repeatedly describing this as “accreditation” is misleading and contributes to a broader pattern of manufacturing legitimacy.

Gambling License Violations

Historic License Misuse Across Multiple Premises:
Official Caerphilly Council documentation confirms that a Small Society Lottery License (LT235) was issued in 2023 for a specific address in Aberbargoed — from which Ridsdale was later evicted.
Illegal Cross-Premises Use:
This license continued to be referenced and displayed at new premises (including Blackwood and Caerphilly) without appropriate registration for those locations, breaching the Gambling Act 2005.
False Licensing Claims:

“We do have a raffle license and a lottery license, so your investigation skills are below par.” – Carrie Anne (Video statement)

However, FOI responses from both Caerphilly and Torfaen Councils confirm no active licenses existed at the times of public fundraising involving scratch cards, raffles, and tombolas.
Additional Breaches:

  • No lottery returns submitted
  • No public display of license number at new premises
  • Proceeds not publicly accounted for

Data Protection and Privacy Violations

Systematic UK GDPR breaches:

  • Creation of “Shoplifters and Volunteers That Steal” Facebook albums
  • Public broadcasting of private correspondence and personal addresses
  • Use of livestreams to expose details of vulnerable individuals, including the elderly

Technical Surveillance Trap Evidence

To verify the suspected misuse of an alias “David Jones” by Ridsdale herself, the investigative team deployed server-side IP targeting as a technical trap:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} ^31\.52\.67\.83$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /internal-trap [R=301,L]

This configuration redirected the suspicious IP address to a hidden page containing specific references to her misconduct. Hours later, Ridsdale publicly referenced the exact contents of that hidden trap page, confirming her link to the anonymous alias “David Jones.”

7. Financial Irregularities and Benefit Fraud Concerns

Financial Opacity and Multiple Revenue Streams

Despite soliciting donations across multiple platforms, no transparent financial records have ever been published by Jayne’s Baby Bank or its associated namesakes.
Key Public Revenue Sources Identified:

  • Council grants (£10,528 since April 2024)
  • Online donations via PayPal and Facebook
  • Cash raffles and scratch cards
  • Retail profits from at least 4 shopfronts
  • Sales through Vinted and car boot events

Undisclosed Personal Donation Accounts

Donations were traced to the following PayPal email: ridsdale1952@btinternet.com — directly identifying the account holder as Carrie-Anne Ridsdale and confirming she retains personal control of the funds.

Active Retail Operations Without Accounting

Current Open Locations (as of September 2025):

  • Unit 5, Pontllanfraith: Newbridge Road Industrial Estate, NP12 2AN
  • 68 Tredegar St, Risca: “FREE foodbank” location, advertised online
  • 14 Pentrebane Street, Caerphilly: 60ft+ superstore with outdoor storage
  • 5 Crane Street, Pontypool: “Mega store” spanning four floors

Former Abandoned or Evicted Properties:

  • Aberbargoed – 35 Bowen Industrial Estate
  • Blackwood – 13-15 The Market Place
  • Brynmawr – 48 Worcester St
  • Risca – Park Road

This rotation of physical retail sites suggests a “pop-up” revenue model designed to stay ahead of regulatory oversight.

Benefit Fraud Risk Indicators

In multiple public livestreams, Ridsdale has presented herself as severely unwell, citing a combination of spinal and haematological conditions. She described her spine problem as follows:

“So I seem to have a disc problem now. Between L1 and S5. So that’s like, pelvis down… Now, obviously, I have a tumour in the back wall of my womb, which doesn’t help the situation or the placement.”

She has also claimed to suffer from aplastic anaemia affecting bone marrow and red blood cell production, and at other times stated she is “in the palliative care category” or “severely disabled.”

Despite these declarations, extensive video and photographic evidence shows her actively managing multiple shopfronts and warehouses, driving, lifting stock, and working “seven days a week.” Her vehicle — a 2023 Nissan LEAF Tekna (Registration: CK73 MPF) — is registered to Motability Finance Ltd, confirming she accesses state disability benefits to fund personal transport.

The inconsistency between claimed medical incapacity and demonstrated operational capacity raises concerns about the credibility of her disability narratives and suggests potential misrepresentation in relation to benefit entitlements and Motability use.

“6-Figure Business” Contradiction

Ridsdale has publicly claimed that Jayne’s Baby Bank is a “six-figure operation” while simultaneously soliciting donations and claiming severe financial hardship. No accounts or disclosures support this valuation.

8. Outstanding Legal Debts and Court Proceedings

Unpaid Business Rates: Over £1,100

In a video streamed August 2025, Ridsdale publicly displayed court letters showing:

  • Summons for unpaid business rates at 68 Tredegar Street, Risca
  • Torfaen Council as the issuing authority
  • HM Courts & Tribunals branding

While the precise total is obscured, screen analysis confirms a visible debt of at least £1,450 spanning multiple letters, including fines and administrative costs.

Criminal Case Filed – Blackwood Premises

Court records confirm that Case #61CY0283624 was registered against Carrie-Anne Ridsdale for criminal damage relating to a dispute over fencing and security equipment during eviction proceedings at the Blackwood property.
This marks a transition from civil irregularities into criminal territory and sets legal precedent for future prosecution under fraud and public misrepresentation laws.

8. Systematic Harassment and Intimidation

Organised Online Abuse Campaigns

There is a documented and escalating pattern of online harassment by Ridsdale, particularly against critics, journalists, and former volunteers.
Known tactics include:

  • Publicly accusing individuals of paedophilia without evidence
  • Reposting personal data and images from private accounts
  • Photoshopped defamatory graphics shared via Facebook
  • Coordinated reporting attacks on rival charity pages

These actions demonstrate a consistent strategy of intimidation intended to silence scrutiny and deflect attention from legitimate legal and ethical concerns.

Targeting of Elderly and Disabled Individuals

In August 2025, a livestream broadcast from Ridsdale included personal details and an address belonging to an 80-year-old disabled woman. This incident caused considerable distress to the victim and was reported to local safeguarding teams.

Threats of Legal and Technical “Revenge”

Ridsdale has repeatedly threatened to initiate “counterclaims,” criminal prosecutions, and civil damages against individuals who publish criticism. In one broadcast, she stated:

“I’m going to start charging Sherlock for all the petrol I spend picking up donations. I’ll keep a costs diary and go to court.”

She also claimed the ability to obtain IP addresses and “locate” critics online — a misrepresentation of technical capability bordering on digital harassment.

False Trademarks and Legal Threats

She has frequently cited a “trademark” as a tool to silence or threaten others, yet the trademark in question (UK00003908325) merely protects the name “Jayne’s Baby Bank” as a retail identity — not a registered charity or public authority. Trademark registration does not grant enforcement powers beyond intellectual property disputes.

9. Psychological Profile and Behavioural Indicators

AI-Assisted Pattern Recognition

An automated analysis of over 1,000 video broadcasts revealed consistent linguistic and behavioural markers indicative of certain psychological profiles.
Key indicators include:

  • Defensive narcissism – constant self-comparison to famous figures (“I’m like Princess Diana”)
  • Paranoid ideation – belief in mass conspiracies and persecution by “haters” and authorities
  • Hero-victim duality – positioning herself as both saviour and target simultaneously
  • Emotional volatility – erratic mood swings within the same broadcast

Speech Pattern Analysis

The AI flagged a high density of:

  • Repetition – frequent looping back to the same narratives
  • Anecdotal deflection – using unverified stories as justifications

Language Sample – Threat Analysis

“And other charities, and other little groups, you are the ones that we’re gonna take down. Because I don’t answer to nobody… And I will take you down if you bother me or you bother anybody else.”

This quote, one of dozens reviewed, illustrates a combative, authoritarian self-image inconsistent with legitimate charitable leadership and raises serious concerns regarding emotional regulation and public safety.

10. Identity Trap and Confirmed Online Alias

Case Study: “David Jones” IP Address Match

A breakthrough in this investigation occurred when the investigative team identified suspicious patterns in user comments under the alias David Jones, which consistently defended Jayne’s Baby Bank and used language matching Ridsdale’s known speech.
Response: Investigators implemented a custom redirect rule:

RewriteEngine On
  RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} ^31\.52\.67\.83$
  RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /sherlock-redirect.html [R=301,L]

Only IP address 31.52.67.83 — previously traced to video uploads by Ridsdale — was redirected to a hidden internal page about charity fraud. Within hours, Ridsdale live-streamed her outrage, confirming she had accessed the redirect, thereby linking her identity to the alias beyond reasonable doubt.

11. Official Agency Responses

Universal Regulatory Denials

Every relevant oversight body contacted during the investigation has confirmed no working relationship with Jayne’s Baby Bank and no authorisation for their use of the term “charity” or associated fundraising activities.
Denials and Statements:

  • Charity Commission: Two formal applications rejected. No record of a registered charity or pending status.
  • Fundraising Regulator:

“The organisation is not currently registered with us. Based on the documents you provided, the organisation does not meet our requirements for registration or compliance.”

  • FareShare Cymru:

“Jayne Price / Cerianne Ridsdale is not registered with us for FareShare Cymru collections.”

  • Caerphilly County Borough Council:

“We are not working with Jayne’s Baby Bank in any capacity.”

  • Baby Bank Alliance:

“This baby bank is not a member of the Baby Bank Alliance. All our members are shown on our map.”

  • ACAS:

“We can confirm that we have no affiliation with ‘Jayne’s Baby Bank’ or anyone operating under that name.”

Regulator Feedback: Fundraising Standards

The Fundraising Regulator detailed the following shortcomings that prevent JBB from registering:

  • No registration with Companies House
  • Unable to provide 12 months of verifiable fundraising operations
  • No financial accounts available
  • No complaints policy in place
  • Cannot demonstrate compliance with the Fundraising Code
  • Unwilling to register with the Charity Commission

FOI Disclosures

Freedom of Information Act requests revealed further insight into official agency concerns:

  • Licensing violations – using expired gambling licenses across multiple locations
  • Health and safety violations – improper food handling, pest risks, and blocked sanitation
  • Business rates arrears – over £1,450 in unpaid debts
  • Compliance warnings – shop signage required to remove “charity” branding

One senior officer from a South Wales council wrote (internal note, redacted):

“She plays the system very well. Refuses to follow regulations then cries harassment when challenged. We’ve had multiple departments raise concerns. It’s a ticking time bomb.”

12. Evidence Documentation and Surveillance Records

Digital Archive Summary

All source material has been preserved through rigorous documentation and backup procedures.
Archive Contents:

  • 1,000+ video livestreams (backed up and transcribed)
  • 8,000+ Facebook status updates
  • 40+ official emails and FOI disclosures
  • 23GB+ data archive
  • Timestamped video screen captures and receipts
  • Surveillance of public domain materials (under UK press exemptions)

AI Transcription & Analysis Tools

The team deployed AI-powered tools for the following:

  • Speech-to-text transcription of videos
  • Keyword frequency mapping
  • Contradiction tracking and quote comparison
  • Voiceprint recognition across aliases

This ensured every claim could be mapped to original video/audio, with high precision.

Evidence Chain of Custody

All official documents were:

  • Timestamped on receipt
  • Digitally archived in PDF and image formats
  • Cross-validated using FOI reference codes or original authority contact
  • Backed up on redundant storage systems with access logs

Where individuals were publicly named, full screenshots of original content were preserved, including social media handles, timestamps, and relevant context.

13. Final Conclusions and Recommendations

Summary of Findings

Across multiple domains — legal, regulatory, financial, and reputational — this investigation has revealed a persistent, strategic pattern of:

  • Charity fraud
  • Professional impersonation
  • Harassment and targeted misinformation
  • Unregulated medical and food operations
  • Systematic avoidance of oversight

The evidence base spans 2022–2025 and includes formal documentation, public admissions, and official denials from every relevant governing body.

Key Legal Risks Identified

  • Misuse of the word “charity” in branding, signage, and trademarks without legal registration
  • Misleading advertising contrary to the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and ASA/CAP Code — including portraying retail outlets as “charity shops” and inflating project-level CSR awards into organisational “accreditation”.
  • Unlawful gambling under the Gambling Act 2005 — expired licenses used at multiple sites
  • Impersonation of professionals under the new UK law protecting the title “nurse”
  • Operating unregistered food premises while claiming exemptions inaccurately
  • Alleged benefit fraud based on reported disability level vs. active business operations

Active and Ongoing Offences

This is not a historical summary — the individual continues to operate:

  • Four physical retail premises across South Wales
  • Online sales via Vinted and Facebook
  • Ongoing collection of food, money, goods, and donations
  • Public livestreaming used to retaliate against critics, post accusations, and obscure accountability

Actionable Recommendations for Authorities

  1. Trading Standards: Immediate inspection and enforcement for unlicensed charity shop activity
  2. Gambling Commission: Review of expired license use across non-approved locations
  3. HMRC: Compliance review of donation income, business records, and personal tax
  4. Police Authorities: Criminal investigation into harassment, identity fraud, and public defamation
  5. Charity Commission: Public censure for deceptive use of the term “charity” in trading
  6. Education Workforce Council: Assessment of false education/assistant claims

Advisory for the Public

  • Donors: Always check the UK Charity Register before donating
  • Volunteers: Confirm liability insurance and registration before working for any charity
  • Parents: Seek help through regulated support systems (e.g. council services, NHS, registered foodbanks)
  • Community Members: Report suspicious fundraising or identity misrepresentation to local authorities

Why This Matters

This case highlights the risks of unregulated “pop-up” charities operated by individuals without formal governance, oversight, or transparency. Misrepresentation of medical, financial, and legal credentials is not a victimless act. It erodes public trust, endangers vulnerable people, and diverts donations from legitimate organisations that follow the law.

Final Statement

“This is not a campaign. It is a record. We publish what is said, shown, and documented. If it contradicts itself — the fault is not ours.”

This investigation will remain active and updated with new materials. Formal reports will be made available to relevant authorities on request. All information has been reviewed for legal compliance under UK public interest journalism guidelines.

The Full Report: Carrie-Anne Ridsdale and Jayne’s Baby Bank examines allegations involving deception, the use of false identities, unverified nursing credentials, unregistered charitable operations, potential financial misconduct, and concerns regarding public safety in South Wales. The report is compiled from official records, Freedom of Information disclosures, publicly available video content, and statements made by the individuals concerned. Read the report →

17 thought on “The Full Report: Carrie-Anne Ridsdale and Jaynes Baby Bank”
  1. Two new findings have been added to the REPORT:

    – False charity advertising – Social media videos promoted Jayne’s Baby Bank as a “charity shop” despite no registration with the Charity Commission.
    – Misleading award claims – Public posts wrongly described a project-level CSR award as an official “accreditation” of the whole organisation.

    Sherlock

  2. Update Notice:
This report has been amended to reflect two significant developments:

A Freedom of Information response from the Education Workforce Council confirms that Carrie-Anne Ridsdale has never been registered as a classroom assistant in Wales. This directly contradicts her repeated public assertions of having served in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) role for 12 years.

An official statement issued by the Trussell Trust states that Jayne’s Baby Bank has never been affiliated with the organisation, nor authorised to distribute its food parcels or issue referrals. This statement is in direct conflict with past claims of partnership made by Ms Ridsdale.

These findings provide further evidence of what appears to be an ongoing pattern of professional misrepresentation.

    [TODAY]
    BEGIN QUOTE:::
And then this other girl now saying, oh, you’re a con artist.
    You’re a con artist.
The video I’ve put up is about people saying I’m somebody else.
You know, perhaps I should say I’m somebody else and then I won’t get any bills.
Perhaps I’ll say, oh yeah, I am somebody else and then, yeah, put all those bills in that person’s name like.
That would be being a con artist.
All I’m trying to do is pay my own bills, run my own shops.
Oh, my God, they’re nuts, aren’t they?
    :::END QUOTE

Thank you, Carrie—and thanks also to Adrianne Clares Reid for capturing the relevant footage. The image referenced in the Facebook Incident originated from our report titled “Carrie Anne Slips Up Live: Real Name, Real Fines, and a Baby Bank in Trouble.” The associated clip is included in the Exposure Video linked above.

Relevant earlier footage includes the following:

    [28/08/2025]
    BEGIN QUOTE:::
I’ve just come out of the court.
Well, I didn’t get into the court, really.
Anyway, so, it was a non-payment of business rates, so I didn’t even get into the court for that one.
Thank you for wasting everybody’s time this morning, Sherlock.
    :::END QUOTE

However, there is a clear discrepancy between statements made across multiple platforms. In one Facebook post, you claim:

“Because it’s under a wrong name. A made up name by someone making a complaint. Watch the video it clearly states they arnt my bills or my shops. Having a different name doesn’t male someone a con artist you fool.”

This conflicts with earlier footage, where court documents addressed to Carrie Anne are acknowledged as yours. Despite this, fines issued by the council remain unpaid, and you suggest the bills are linked to someone else.

This leads to the following clarification:

If Jayne Price is not your legal identity, why are documents issued to Carrie Anne Ridsdale in your possession?

If the bills are not connected to you or your businesses, why acknowledge them at all?

If the council has issued these fines, does that not confirm their formal recognition of your operational status under the name Carrie Anne Ridsdale?

Your public denial of being Carrie Anne during a filmed confrontation—available both on YouTube and in the Archive.org repository—stands in direct contradiction to other statements made under both names.

This pattern of alternating between identities when addressing legal or financial matters raises serious concerns about transparency, accountability, and the representation of your business activities.

    1. I’m confused! She claims the Fire Brigade called to her Caerphilly shop today, as that was where she is today, and said everything was OK with extra fire extinguishers and the red routes were
      clear.
      1. She pans that shop several times a day in her videos and I’ve yet to spot a fire extinguisher.
      2. The ‘red route’ is in her Pontypool shop.
So where did the Fire Officers do their inspection?
      Sounds like yet another lie.

[05:46.310 –> 05:52.830] So that’s brilliant, isn’t it? Because this month we’ve paid for at least one shop rent out of the Facebook money.
[05:53.890 –> 05:59.550] I mean, you know, I am the influencer for it. So, you know, technically it should be my wage, but I don’t want it.

    [06:09.330 –> 06:11.530] I got everything I’d ever need in life.
    [06:12.730 –> 06:15.470] I do enjoy going away once a year.
    :::END QUOTE

In this video, the individual once again refers to the retail premises as “my own charity shop” and confirms that earnings from Facebook content are being used to pay for shop rent. The statement further suggests that the speaker, as the “influencer,” could claim the income as personal wages but instead chooses to redirect it towards business expenses.

Under UK law, if an organisation describes itself as a charity shop, it must either be operated by or on behalf of a registered charity, subject to the regulatory framework of the Charity Commission for England and Wales. This includes transparency in fundraising, financial reporting, and governance. To date, Jayne’s Baby Bank is not listed on the Charity Commission register.

Continued use of the term “charity shop” in both public videos and operational descriptions—without the appropriate legal status—may constitute misrepresentation and could breach relevant provisions of the Charities Act 2011 and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.

This pattern of presentation invites further scrutiny from both regulatory bodies and members of the public who may be misled regarding the legal and charitable status of the business.

  5. 📅 Incident Summary – 6 September 2025

Earlier today, a series of speculative claims were posted concerning the former Market Place retail unit in Blackwood—specifically regarding its proposed conversion into a funeral parlour. The statements included the following:

“Why did the Blackwood shop landlord want a funeral parlour? Because there are no legal regulatory bodies overseeing funeral parlours? And does ‘retrospect’ mean he already had bodies in there?”

These remarks appear to conflate serious regulatory matters with speculation about a property that is now the subject of a planning decision reported in the Caerphilly Observer.

The article cited in today’s post clarifies:

“A proposal to redevelop an ‘idle and vacant’ commercial unit in Blackwood has been turned down by council planners. Applicant Mohammad Jaura, of FM Global, has applied to Caerphilly County Borough Council for planning permission to alter the rear unit at 79 High Street.”

    Full article available via: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=759762353478519&id=100083342834915

This directly contradicts previous public statements made by Carrie, in which the landlord was repeatedly identified as an individual named Abdullah, who she also accused of harassment. The Caerphilly Observer article makes no reference to this person, and identifies Mohammad Jaura of FM Global as the applicant.

This discrepancy raises an important concern: was the earlier identification of “Abdullah” as the landlord accurate—or another instance of prematurely assigning blame, without substantiating evidence?

This follows a familiar pattern. In a separate recent incident, a member of the public merely laughed at a post concerning fly-tipping, and was promptly—and publicly—accused by Carrie of involvement in the offence, despite no presented proof. The same pattern now appears to be extending to Florrie’s Army, which she is attempting to link to the Blackwood shop issue without evidence.

Allegations of misconduct—particularly involving regulatory or criminal implications—must be supported by verifiable facts. Speculative associations or personal accusations made without due diligence can have serious reputational consequences and may expose the accuser to legal risk.

  6. 🎥 Video Reference: https://youtube.com/shorts/_D-QYbGSJGs?feature=share

In this recording, Carrie—who has repeatedly denied that older photographs circulating online are of her, and who has also rejected identification during a prior filmed confrontation—appears to inadvertently confirm her identity through visible reflection in a nearby mirror.

This visual detail contradicts previous public denials regarding her identity and past images.

The recurring reluctance to confirm or acknowledge basic facts—particularly regarding identity—stands in contrast to her prominent public presence and continued fundraising activity. When public donations are being solicited, particularly under the banner of charitable causes, transparency and accountability are not optional—they are expected.

At the centre of this remains a straightforward question:
    Where are the receipts?

    Claim Summary:

“CT of the tumour in my womb. Hoping it has shrunk. This was taken in 2015 and shelved. I found the CT scan missing from my medical records in 2019; in 2020, they began treating me with tumour suppressors, but then the pandemic hit and they discontinued my treatment. That’s when I collapsed, developed sepsis due to being neutropenic, and my HB dropped to 63. I required a triple blood transfusion and 4 iron infusions. Then, I underwent surgery to stop the blood supply to the tumour as it had started angiogenesis. I’m waiting for an updated CT scan. Hoping it hasn’t started angiogenesis again.”

      1. CT scan she has shared on Facebook. I didn’t realise that hospitals sent you a disc of your CT scans as she has suggested in her replies to comments made on that post. She states that she’s had a recent CT scan and she is waiting for the disc to be sent to her.

  10. Why is she asking people to report this post to Facebook when the complete article is not on Facebook only the part she has put on Facebook?

Well done on your excellent work Sherlock, hopefully this has been passed to all the relevant authorities.

    1. It appears that continued support for her operation has been sustained largely without critical scrutiny. There is little evidence to suggest that those remaining in her network have independently verified the claims being made or reviewed the available documentation.

She may be relying on the assumption that these individuals will continue to support her without question. This would explain the recent calls to report the Facebook page—despite the fact that extensive counter-evidence exists in the form of emails from local authorities, governing bodies, and video footage, all of which directly contradict key public claims she has made.

If those responding to her requests are choosing to ignore such material, then the situation reflects a dynamic where loyalty is prioritised over evidence.

The councils have never stopped us trading. The police have never stopped us trading, trading standards have never stopped us trading. Hmrc have never stopped us trading, dwp have never stopped us trading, interpol has never stopped us trading. The Sherlock account is run by 4 charities, two of which I have personally got shut down for life. Two which are under investigation by the Charity Commission for their behaviour towards myself and others. This is a jealous attack on myself . And there is previous history by one charity that attacked me when I was younger and single Mother which I have yet to release details to the public. They are jealous because they are not as popular as the baby bank is.

We are a registered baby bank and foodbank and foodbank fundraising shop with THREE councils and are recognised across the UK and other Ireland and other countries . Look how big and recognised we are. We are even monetized and payed by Facebook and other social media platforms.
