Despite ongoing efforts to erase any prior association with its former charity status—such as rebranding the Blackwood store as a non-profit vintage, antique, and collectibles shop (source) — donations are still being accepted through two separate PayPal accounts, both of which continue to reference Jayne’s Baby Bank as a charity.

Reference 1:

Jayne’s Mother and Baby, Food Bank and Charity shop. 100% of profit goes towards the charity

Reference 2:

We run charity shops and foodbanks in Wales to help the public in local areas. 100% of the profits go back into helping and feeding families and Free nappies. Thank you for your support 🙏

Despite this rebranding, Jayne’s Baby Bank, now operating under a new identity, continues to send a bold message to both customers and critics alike:

And other charities, and other little groups, you are the ones that we’re gonna take down. Because I don’t answer to nobody. I don’t answer to the charity commission. I don’t answer to the council. I don’t answer to the police. I don’t answer to nobody, and they know that. And I will take you down if you bother me or you bother anybody else. (Source)

Paypal: Spot and Avoid Common Charity Scams

Scammers might pose as reputable charities or individuals supporting relief efforts to trick well-meaning people into making “donations” or sharing personal information through a variety of tactics.
We do not tolerate fraudulent activity on our platforms and work diligently to protect our customers. We recommend donating through trusted channels like PayPal Cause Hub and Venmo Charity Profiles, where the profiles of charities have been vetted by our team of experts.

Our inbox continues to grow—flooded with messages from concerned mothers allegedly targeted by “Jayne Price” personally. Reports span from former staff members who now feel threatened, to bystanders being called out for simply commenting on prices. In recent livestreams, Carrie-Anne has escalated her rhetoric, equating her critics to school bullies envious of her popularity, likening herself to the “pretty girl” who was targeted out of jealousy.

You’re like a bunch of school girls. Yeah? Comprehensive school girls trying to pick on the on the nicest, prettiest, loveliest girl that’s helping all the other girls in the school. That’s what you’re doing. Don’t like it because you’re jealous. Anyway, you’re still making yourselves look really, really bad. I don’t know why I bother sometimes. (source)

We see it differently. With tighter regulations now imposed at recycling centres across Wales, it’s evidently far more convenient for some to simply leave unwanted goods at the doorstep of Jayne’s Baby Bank.

  1. Just a thought, but Ms Ridsdale constantly states that she helps vulnerable adults and children, so does she and her volunteers have current CRB checks? I believe that to have contact with vulnerable people then this is legally required.
