Right, so I've got two trolleys full of pound clothes up here, and I mean they're overflowing.

All these rails of pound clothes up here.

Lush speakering.

That's all boutique.

Oh my god.

What are we going to do with all this stuff?

Right, and I've got a car full that I can't get out yet because I need to sit down now and have a break after all of that.

I've got a box of underway to go through.

I've got some more...

...raveware.

That's cool.

We'll start it off here.

We'll try and pull all the raveware in one shop and take it round.

Yeah, so we'll have like a rail of raveware here, then take it to Risca, then take it so everybody gets to see it.

Because we've got so much now.

So if you've got raveware in your shops, we'll pull it all in one.

Pajamas I've got there to sort now.

We've got some nice sets.

They usually go from five a pair.

Okay, don't forget now we've got two outlets for doing cartridges.

Tesco's and this one, okay.

They're going to have these boxes in every shop.

They're all a pound, those records.

They've all got to go.

We've got... I've got mountains.

Mountains!

Right, mountains and mountains and mountains.

Lovely shoes.

There's a charity that's given us the 30 odd bags I got in my car today.

Thank you for that.

We had charity stuff yesterday.

I fancy those little boxes.

Let's do the little boxes.

Put something in somewhere.

Like a nice square box.

Yeah, so I've got some boxes I'm going to fill by year now and sort out.

Where is this going?

It can't go here.

Well, there's not much option for it.

Unless I go to another shop.

This has got little pink trays.

I'm not sure where the pink trays have gone to pull out.

So who wants that in their shop?

I don't think I can fit it in here.

Volunteers only go to the shops that we've designated to please.

I don't want volunteers turning up at other shops.

They're not required.

Okay, because it's pointless.

Because A, the person may well have asked to have a week on their own.

I definitely need some time on my own from all the interaction I'd get.

Because I've got messages coming through on my phone 24 7.

You know, and the messages I get are not all bunnies and blooming fluffy tails and butterflies.

Sometimes they're quite horrific messages of mothers in distress.

So like the last thing I want now is three or four volunteers turning up your waffling on when there isn't enough room for them to work.

I've got my own jobs to get on top of.

You know, other members of staff in other shops have got their own jobs to be on top of.

So don't just turn up at somewhere to volunteer if you're a current volunteer.

We will tell you where to go because the other thing is I'm not going to be paying allowances and 75% discount if you turn up at the wrong shop.

Especially if you're unannounced.

The only one that will turn up will be our book manager and she comes in and she only does the books.

And the other staff not to mess with the books other than tidy them up where they are.

So that pile could be tidied up where it is.

Because I've had a few, you know, turning up, sat around doing nothing, chatting away while other members of staff have got work to do or have asked to go somewhere else to have a break.

And then they've got three or four of our regular volunteers in there bothering them.

So please don't just turn up.

If you want to volunteer at risk a shot on a permanent basis and you don't already volunteer with us.

Can you let me know?

Because we can't have too many of you in there, but we can start the training on Wednesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday this week.

But I can't have five or six of you turn up.

So I need to say who's going to turn up because risker and Caerphilly are quite small shops.

We don't need them filled with volunteers.

And also we need to concentrate our volunteer efforts over Pontypool at the moment, please.

Oh, I think we need two shops in Caerphilly.

One at the bottom and one at the top.

What do you reckon, guys?

This one's blooming full.

That's for sure.

But I always knew that was going to be a problem in Caerphilly because we have such a massive following in Caerphilly.

So I knew this would be a problem.

So I've always in my head, in my head, right?

Where we're going with this.

Yeah, you know, Operation Robin Hood here, right?

Always in my head, I've always had that we would may have a unit in Caerphilly and a shop in Caerphilly town.

So always two locations in Caerphilly.

Blackwood, I don't know whether to just write it off for the next year and have a look at it and see what goes on and monitor it, because other people have posted videos about Blackwood now.

And I'm like, oh, God, what's going on there?

And like I said to my friend, give the shop back.

They took on a shop.

I mean, Brinston's, because they offered us our shop for fifty pound a week.

Right?

Not Brinston's, the landlord.

And then you guys were paying five hundred pound a month for it because Brinston stepped in.

You could have added half the price, which would have been better for you.

I think if anybody's with Brinston's now, any landlords with Brinston's, you need to have a word with them because you're not going to get your tenants in there because the states of your shops, the locations of your shop, the current climate and Brinston's prices are ridiculous.

So I think I'm going to shelve Blackwood.

Say maybe six months, shelve Blackwood idea.

Right.

And maybe look for the second location in Caerphilly.

There's one in Newport I fancy.

I'm like, shall I just get it?

Because if the rents are cheap enough, you see, it's the same price of storage anyway.

And you've got an A1 license.

So I could fill this shop as storage and shut it up and just come back and forth.

Or I can open it up like I am today and trade from you as well.

You know, or, you know, I could say, right, let me grab two volunteers, come down here, let's start sorting the donations and serve from the door because we've got the A1 license.

So I think we're going to concentrate our efforts now on some way in Caerphilly.

A second location, even a second shop down the bottom, which the prices are still ridiculous.

Or a unit further out, like Bedworths maybe.

Bedworths, Treetomas, maybe.

I think Macken is a bit...

We've got a big following in Macken as well, see, and that little road that goes through.

What's the bit that goes... I don't know if it's all Macken.

Once you go through Macken, right, and you've gone through like the co-op down the bottom and you're on that big long road, right, and then you start going up that road there and then you can go the back way round to Crosskeys and all.

What's that area called?

Is that still Macken?

Because that's a big area.

We're starting to take on more and more from Rogerstone and the... not just Rogerstone, but sort of that back end there, which leads into Treetomas if you drive down that long road, Macken, Treetomas, and through.

What's that area called?

Or is that all Macken?

I don't know.

That's all.

We'll have to get the map out, the geography section.

So I think we're at the point where if we get volunteers turned up at the wrong shop, we're going to be sending them home because if they're not working and they're not doing anything, we're going to be sending them because we don't need them in there.

And sometimes we don't need this either.

And I'm not just talking about myself.

I'm talking about, you know, the other volunteers that I've got that work really hard, working with families, you know, behind the scenes that we can't...

we can't put that information online and we can't video that information.

So you don't see what we're doing behind the scenes.

And then for me to be here today now after some of the stuff I've had to deal with last night and the day before, and then have three or four volunteers turn up, it's like... especially if they're not doing what you're asking them to do.

So I think we're at the point now where two weeks ago I started sending people home if they weren't working and it worked out for us because we're not...

I'm not paying the £20 a day allowance or any allowance or 75% discount if these people are not working.

And like I said, don't just turn up and announce because I need to know where you are.

And I need this week, I need the efforts concentrated in Pontypool and I need new starters in Riskaroo but I don't want old starters in there taking up space in the shop and putting off new starters, right?

Because they need to listen to what people are saying and teaching them to do and not get confused by anybody else telling them what to do.

So Sammy will be down there, she'll be training you and I know she will do it exactly as we want it done.

And she's had a good clean up in the shop and everything and had a good move around of what she thinks looks better.

So it's ready now for some new volunteers that would like to work in Risca permanently to be there.

The only one that flits back and forth is Dawn because she's our book manager and that's her role.

Her role is to travel about and check the books and give us a round because we've done it wrong.

That's her job.

Everybody else concentrate on Pontypool please.

And then... So I think we're keeping our eye out for a second location of Swartz in Caerphilly.

We need a way house, donation centre, Torvain Cwmbran.

I don't think I'm going to take on another shop in Pontypool town, a third at the moment.

Because I think it'll just get full up.

It's not big enough.

We need something like the donation centre we've already got and racking.

Otherwise we're going to be in a situation where we've got three shops in Pontypool.

And that could be two other locations where I could be helping mothers.

And I will still need a donation centre in Torvain Cwmbran at the end of it.

So it's pointless getting a third location I think in Pontypool.

And there's one in Newport that's come up, which I've got my eye on.

Business is going.

It's a well-known business.

It's in a very good location.

And it's quite big.

And the rent is very good.

And I haven't bargained with them yet about the rent.

It might be rates.

I don't know.

We'd have to check.

But we'd probably get a discount on the rates.

We usually get like 70% or like 80% or 85%.

I think it's like 84% this year or something stupid.

I've just had a letter about it.

84,000 or something.

84,000 I wish.

84% off or something like that it is.

Or 83.4%.

I don't know.

I don't know how they work it out.

I think it's all done on square footage and budgets and things like that.

I don't know.

So I think that's what we need there.

I am looking for a hub.

Like a little shop or a little unit or something.

For clubs and things like that as well in different locations.

So this time next year.

Will we have a donation centre?

Three hubs.

A second outlet in Caerphilly.

And possibly one in Newport.

I think that's the way we need to go.

Bit of a wild card the one in Newport.

It's not a wild card.

It's a good idea.

But what I really need is a donation centre right now.

And I don't want to make the wrong decision and get into like a three or four year lease.

Because obviously I say to people we can do three to five years lease if you drop the rent.

But I don't want to get in a position where I've got a shop in a location that isn't going to work.

Lucky to have got out to Blackwood.

Before he put his mug in.

We were lucky to get out of there when we did.

Because I think Blackwood is about to go bang.

I had loads of people from Blackwood up here yesterday.

Loads of people were coming over from Aberdeen.

Took them two hours on the bus.

Oh I've unblocked a few people and saw five had four of the weirdos straight on the profile.

Four of them.

Right it's like yeah crack on.

You're just paying us.

Every time you like, laugh, dislike frown, say anything about us we get paid for it.

So you know there we go.

Let them do it.

Let them work their magic guys.

So yes that's where I am today.

I'm on pyjamas, underwear and rave wear this morning.

I had those boxes off the guy down there to do books.

But books are on the back burner.

Oh and a furniture shop.

So we need a second location in Caerphilly.

It might be beneficial to have a warehouse in Caerphilly because of the quantity of stock.

Right?

I know we're going to be busy because we're so popular in Caerphilly.

And we've always had a good following.

We need three hubs to be in three areas or in three different areas to start running clubs and stuff and doing other stuff and keeping things in the locations because what I'm finding is if we're keeping stuff that we need for the business in the shops,

it's getting damaged or broken or sold or getting lost or parts missing off it so we need a place to put stuff where the managers can go and pick up where they need supplies and stuff or whatever and then take it back there so that it's not in the shop.

Because that is costing us money because we've got to keep replacing stuff.

So what did we say Caerphilly?

Big one?

Three little ones?

I don't want to jump at this shop in Newport.

Got a gut feeling about it.

Right?

Where else did I say?

Newport?

Was it just five?

And then the furniture shop?

Oh and another warehouse.

So we're looking, this time next year we're looking at seven.

Seven new portfolios.

I think would work.

But we need to take on the right portfolios.

There was a nice one in Aberdare.

I sent it to the guys they have a night to have a look at.

Big for cheap in Aberdare.

But I don't know if I can commit to that right now.

This side of Christmas.

But you are on my radar Aberdare.

Nothing in Merthyr yet.

I am looking but there's nothing coming up that's worth it in Merthyr for me.

And then we've got some planning going on outside the shops to do some stuffs outside the shops.

In Risca, Caerphilly and Pontypool.

Got some planning going through.

And it's only Tuesday!

It's only Tuesday guys, we're busy.

Busy, busy, busy.

So I think I am going to crack on now for a bit.

My bottom of my spine is hurting so I've got the hot water bottle with me.

Put that on.

Do this.

Get these boxes sorted and then I can have a look maybe at condensing that pound trolley because they are full.

They are mega full.

Where's my card machine?

Where did I put that?

Or did I put it on charge?

Right, so then guys, I am going to find the card machine because I've put it somewhere and crack on!
