So we've had a few customers in and we've had a few of the other shop holders in as well.
I'm on my dinner now.
I've had my three tubs of candy floss or biscuit.
Only one biscuit I had.
And then we had some regulars in that maybe don't need and maybe volunteering.
So that was good.
Had a nice chat with them.
Always pop in and say hello anyway to the staff you know.
Always pop in and So yeah we've had a few of the other shop holders in as well because they haven't been able to catch us to say you know welcome to the area.
What I'm finding is better for me at the moment is... small meals or very high sugar stuff like sweets.
Not so much crisps.
Crisps make me feel quite ill.
And like anything that's like a complex carb then it makes me a bit like sweets.
Sweets, actual sweets or whatever.
I seem to be able to burn that off quite well.
And then little meals frequent and often.
Oh I haven't got full blown diabetes I don't know with my sweet touch.
But we were on about this today that actually there's still a lot of stuff left in there in the indoor market.
So I think the people I was talking to today they know the owner as well but I mean give me a chance to get in here now and get a volunteer base in here.
Because we would be able to clear that if we have permission to go in there.
What's that?
Because they look like peg boards up there look.
We got peg.
We got peg board bits that go in you know.
Well we could probably clear that.
It's like those signs like if we could clear those signs down.
What's it got there?
24 7 remote CCTV and alarm monitoring.
Somebody been in there because they went up and done a TikTok and checkmate.
And there's tables and chairs and all sorts up there.
But we could clear that.
When they start the work see they'll have to clear it won't they?
Or maybe those pegs.
See the peg boards.
Maybe it's up there to stop anybody breaking in.
Thinking about it now look.
Because they've got it down there haven't they?
Perhaps it isn't like a peg board racking.
Maybe it's to stop people breaking in.
But they usually put it on the outside don't they?
The windows.
Down there it's open.
I don't know if there's anybody living in it.
I haven't heard of you heard anybody in there.
I like there's a roller shutter there see.
We don't want them skipping when they could still work.
Things like that I know.
But my biggest concern is there's still a lot of stuff in there.
You know.
I don't know how long it's been sat there because it's been shutting a long time at least.
Well we've been running five years.
It's been shut at least five years that I know of.
Because we came up here to buy some rails at one point from one of the shops that was shutting down when we first started.
The round ones and all.
The ones we've had for a long time.
Buddleya grow it out of there see.
See that'll grow if you put that in the ground.
That Buddleya.
She's one of those butterfly plants.
It's lovely.
Pick them up on the side of the motorways and things you can.
Ideal for birds and bees.
They're very good for them.
And they grow big and they're pretty.
But like those signs.
My painter could paint over them.
We only want to pressure wash off don't they?
Loads of stuff out there.
We've got some beauty stuff in look at that.
He's got tags they have.
I can't remember if he's got a scarf.
That piglet.
But my son will only let me take EOs.
Because the EO is my favorite.
I can't take anything else.
Anything else no.
It's got to be an EO or nothing.
And I only like the EOs that are dressed in the costumes.
You know sometimes they're dressed in a different one.
Like in a Tigger suit.
Or a birthday suit.
Or a penguin suit.
They are the only ones I collect now.
Otherwise I'd end up with a house full.
The amount we get in here.
And the other charity shops.
We sorted the clothes.
We had a ton of clothes in.
I sorted them.
Probably about four bags out with a designer.
More shoes.
And then all of this was pounds.
So I've got to sort this into sizes now to tuck behind there.
Because obviously the rails are full.
So this is what we would call our pounds section you know.
It's easier sometimes to just let some of it go for a pound.
Because you get so many clothes.
We've sold some things.
The shoes look like Pontypool.
They're shoes now.
We've got rooms and rooms full of shoes.
I saw...
What did I stop there?
A little glass deck.
And there was a cat that looked like it had been sculpted by somebody.
That went.
And there was another one.
I didn't see that one because she just shouted the price out to me.
They were Welsh.
I could only come to less than a fiver for those three items.
Vintage ducks.
I think it was another duck because she collected ducks.
They were like fiver.
Oh my god we'll be back.
You know.
It would have been 19 I think.
When I worked it out.
But we were like yeah fiver.
Gotta go.
Tons more to get out.
That cat was quite big.
It took up a lot of room.
It was quite a big thing.
So that's good.
I can get some more up there now.
So I'll have my food now.
And then I don't know what to do.
I don't know where to start the bric-a-brac.
Long time see for the bric-a-brac.
Because all of it needs to wipe down and stuff.
And you gotta check it all.
And I got three bags of games and jigsaws in the boot for my mother to check.
For me.
Unless anybody else wants to do it.
Because I'm up to my neck to do it.
And I don't like games and things going out without being checked.
If you ever get a problem.
Let me know.
There was a woman on the bitches.
The one that I punched in the face.
Stole her birthday card.
Birthday card.
Yeah I'm having a bank card.
And pulled her dreadlocks that were minging by the way.
Allegedly.
She posted on one of her comments that she'd bought something from us and the batteries had rusted in it.
Now she said it was a Hoover.
I was a bit like, is it a kids Hoover then?
Because we had two.
We had two Henrys.
I think we had a Henry and a Henrietta.
One of them we'd put up for sale.
The other one we've put in the three for a pound trolley because it was damaged.
And it did say on it three for a pound damaged.
You know.
So if you want to return it for an exchange you're more than welcome.
You don't have to come and speak to me.
You can pop in and see Sammy.
She's more diplomatic than me.
But I mean you know I've authorized you to bring it back.
So I don't want any of our customers to be out of pocket.
So you know.
If there's something wrong with it bring it back.
We're only human.
You know because of these haters.
Obviously you know we haven't got tons of volunteers because they keep trying to put them off.
You know and making horrible comments like Pontypool shops a mess.
When they know the volunteers are in charge.
Over there trying to help me.
Well I'm setting up this shop.
The thing is like they're only human.
There's only so much everybody can do.
Yeah.
And there's a lot of lot of stock to work.
That's why we give you £20 minimum a day store spend.
Because I feel you deserve it because of the amount of work you're doing.
In the other charity shops and places and secondhand shops.
I see a lot of them sitting around.
You know maybe they've done their work for the week.
I don't know right.
But I see people sitting around with cups of tea and coffee.
Our guys don't.
Our guys don't even have a lunch break.
They just.
They just come in and they're just gone.
And they're eating as they go.
You know they're like.
You know.
And they they don't stop.
So I feel that they deserve that £20.
Because they are working working when they're with us.
So yes if anybody isn't happy with something they've had.
We have a no quibble guarantee.
Obviously I do have one or two people.
I think it's only one or there's two.
There's two refunds we've refused.
One was a sold a seen bike for parts only.
They was it was selling for £120 on eBay.
But it wasn't it was quite rusty.
It needed work.
So I think we it went for 20.
It was up for 25.
And I said to the person who rode it up and down the street and tested it.
That yes I'll let you have it for 20.
But it is non returnable or exchangeable.
Because it is up for parts, spares and repairs.
And they said yes.
And then they tried to bring it back when they couldn't sell it on to the bike man.
And I refused because I'd already told them in front of another customer that I asked to wait there to be a witness to it.
And then the other one was a piece of antique.
And it said on it antique Queen Anne furniture.
If you know Queen Anne furniture it's got the Queen Anne legs.
Like little lion's legs and things like that.
And they sent somebody to pick it up.
And I said it's delicate.
It's an antique.
And they dragged it, put it upside down, carried it by the legs, threw it in the van.
Two weeks later he came back and said a leg fell off.
Now he'd also bought it to sell in his shop and put it up by 200 quid.
And I said to him once it's sold and they've picked it up it's no longer our responsibility.
So I refused that refund for that gentleman.
As I knew he'd bought it and beat the price down as well.
Because he was badgering one of my volunteers and she kept ringing me saying he's getting on my nerves.
And I said we're just telling 120 and that's all he's adding.
And it was up for 250 you know.
And that's why we refused it.
But if you're out there and you've had a bad experience, want to bring something back, pop in, speak to Sammy and she'll exchange it for you.
Okay.
The comments I've seen somebody was like oh I had a mouldy top and it made me itch.
Bring it back if you're not happy with it.
I quite sure Sammy will scratch it back for you if you're itching.
I don't know about a mouldy top.
I mean why would you put a mouldy top on?
I mean most people buy stuff on the charity shop a second hand and wash it anyway.
Myself.
And I mean they're usually a pound or three for a pound or 20p.
Bring it back we will exchange it for you.
And then there was this lady with a Hoover and she said the batteries had leaked inside.
So bring that back.
Well I don't know if you've still got you may not have.
If not pop in and explain the situation to Sammy.
She'll watch the video anyway so she'll see it and we'll exchange it for you.
Not a problem at all.
I don't want you guys to be out of pocket because you're good enough to support us.
So it doesn't matter whether you like me this week and hate me next week.
Does it?
At the end of the day we don't want you to be out of pocket.
Oh there's another bag of clothes I think.
There's another bag.
Loads of clothes in today.
Tons.
Absolutely tons.
Nice stuff.
All nice stuff.
And some of it needed a bit of washing so we were like yep let's chuck it in the washing innit.
Next.
Lovely.
Pound.
This might be a next.
What do you think looks like next?
Pound.
Oh who's this?
Oh I think it's like one you'd buy.
They like do a lot of prints don't they?
Yeah pound.
Oh no that's my scarf.
What's this?
Next.
Yeah I'm gonna pound him because we've got a lot of next ring fenced and a lot of new look ring fencing Dorothy P. So I'm going through them and I'm just using my judgment from what I know I've seen.
That's a pretty one innit.
Where's this from?
Oh I can't pull it out.
Oh phase eight.
Phase eight but I'll stick him on there.
He looks quite old and I know we've got a vintage shop in Blackwell but we want to deplete that if we're gonna move it because we don't want to be moving 16 rails of clothes do we?
Who's this?
Cedarwood Steak.
I think that's the band-aid's pre-mark isn't it?
Cedarwood Steak.
Have a look for me.
Yeah it is cool to see the real Ellie but I would have liked to have seen more so we need transparent clothes.
I'm a bit gutted because like I think the constellation and all is down there innit.
I would have liked to have seen more of it but everybody have said how lovely it looks.
Oh and I got another one for you anyway.
I got another one for you in your spare time.
In my garden.
My second garden because I have two shops of gardens.
Two shops of gardens.
I think that's how it was because the supports are on this side.
I don't think we could do that.
I can ask them but possibly that the fence is a bit wrecked there but I don't know whose wall that is but it is the same brick as that but I can inquire.
Perhaps we can have a mirror across there.
Something to do with allotments because we'll have our pots out here when we clear all of this now.
So some bits and bobs already out here but I don't know where they are.
We'll sort it.
Two toilets out here if anyone needs a pan.
Because we've got a nice new one in there.
So yeah we'll get the streamer out.
And one of my mothers now just come in.
Her partner has got a streamer.
So we'll get that done.
Oh don't.
I got one full bookcase in risk a rule.
Right.
But the books won't fit.
I'd forgotten.
So what you'll have to do is come in and do your order and then put them in a stack.
Come in, do another order, put them in your stack.
And we'll try and get all the same book.
Like we'll say right well that's the biggest book.
Maybe too big for you.
But you know that's the biggest book.
We can't have any other books bigger than that.
So that when Dan moves the shelves, unless I get a better bookcase in, when he moves the shelves to accommodate the books they're all in order.
But you will have, because I might move the CDs, we will have three here.
Show her the video when she comes in guys.
If I move the CD racks, I'll get another one in by the end won't I?
I mean it's almost booked.
But they're just on the floor as well don't they.
And then when they're back and they're screwed back, you know we know it's in a way enough.
What about?
A Grow for Victory World War Two theme.
That's a nice one to pull out the bag.
I like that.
Grow for Victory.
Oh yes.
Yes we'll have that one.
That's a good one.
I like that one.
That's lovely.
Yeah the Taurus.
The Taurus constellation.
That's a warning that is.
That's a warning.
The owner is a Taurus.
Do not aggravate.
Bring food.
Give her the food.
She'll be happy.
Bring sweets.
That's some bits of sheen I think in with that.
That's sheen.
They usually come in bags.
Give me a pound.
I like them in the bag.
But they won't stay tidy.
I'll sit out you know.
Go back to my food.
Now I do have a little bit like I might not finish that now.
But I'll go back to it in like two hours.
I'm finding that's working better for me.
And the other thing I'm going to try and go back to doing.
But I've got to watch because my diabetes.
Like I am being diagnosed.
They give me metformin.
But they're like you know.
But because of the crap I do eat.
It's all my fault.
Right.
All my fault.
Then I've got to watch when I do the fast.
Because the fasting like from 8 till 10 or something in the morning.
Makes me feel a lot better.
Makes my... We're not trying to shop with the largest baby bank in South Wales.
Baby bank.
All the money goes back into mothers and babies in the community.
All right.
Thank you.
I find it's better for me.
It's better for my bowel.
And I felt better.
But I've got to be careful now.
I don't mess up.
I haven't even got a machine.
I've got a machine.
But I don't even check my blood sugars.
I just go oh I'm a bit wobbly.
Give me some sugar.
But I think that's what I'm going to try and do now.
Is do the fasting between 8 and whatever.
Do that.
Because I seem to be eating a lot more in the mornings.
I'm like breakfast, second breakfast, third breakfast, brunch.
I don't need those three in the morning.
Well I never used to.
So I go now.
Make me feel better.
Oh and I've had a warning letter off the hospital.
I need to book in.
Book in for the cameras.
So I couldn't ring him today.
I can't believe that.
What about that?
Grow for victory.
WD-40.
World War Two theme.
Yeah that's brilliant.
I like that.
I like that.
We've had a few people, a few people walking past like that you know.
And asking about it.
Getting a lot of school kids back and forth.
But we don't take cash mums.
Right.
And I mean as long as they come in and they're allowed to spend it.
That's fine.
If there's any problems and they've come in and they've bought something they shouldn't have.
Let me know.
Alright.
Like if they've come in and bought a comic and it was like 10 quid and you're like oh no they've spent 10 quid.
Let me know.
But some of them can pay on their phones.
Or they have the go Henry cards.
But we don't take cash.
Especially off the children.
But I do get a couple calling in.
Especially the girls.
They like to come in and look at the clothes.
Especially at a pound because they can buy a couple see.
We've had one in that said no no I don't pay by card.
I only ever pay by cash.
So I've explained why.
But then she went.
But I can't please everybody can I?
And I need to think safety of staff.
Safety of the actual funds for the baby bank and safety of the staff.
The thing is last year the vape shop got held up in Blackwood.
And the barber shop kicked off didn't they with knives and whatever.
Then we had that boy remember who had the knife on him.
In Pontypool.
That all the shop keepers sorted out.
You know and then there's been a ruckus now apparently with the same people.
On the barber shop down in Ystrad Mynach.
Right?
But when they held up the vape shop in Blackwood.
There was two of them.
Held up the staff by knife point for 45 minutes.
For two vapes and less than 500 quid.
So that's not fair on the staff is it?
I mean they've had to go back to work and they've probably insured for counselling and other stuff like that and what have you.
And we probably are because we've got business insurance.
But...
If you're a volunteer and something like that happens to you.
You ain't gonna come back.
It's gonna put you off.
So it's not worth me losing a volunteer over a stressful situation like that.
I'd rather just cut my losses to the people who will only pay cash.
Because that's their belief which they're entitled to.
You know, of course they are.
And know we've got that safety net of being card only.
And it works.
Most people pay by card anyway.
I don't know what to do next.
Tired today but I forgot my iron.
Might finish that bit of bread off and then I'll sort the clothes into sizes so at least it looks tidier.
With them.
And the thing is I can back stack them then.
Shoulder cap today.
I think we sold three of these.
They were well chuffed with that.
And some uniform went and some other bits went.
China doll.
China doll.
Some ornaments.
Had another little gentleman in.
He was having a good look around.
Everybody said they'd be back anyway.
So that's nice.
That's good.
It's quite pleasant shop to be in.
It's very nice to sit through.
Riska is a bit... Riska is nice but you've got the traffic zooming past all day because you're on that main road.
Of course this is a side road isn't it.
So it's quieter here.
It's nicer.
It is nice.
And then we'll get... I might have a spare patio table to go out there.
Yeah I think we've got a spare one actually.
We'll have a patio table at the back for the staff.
To have a little break out there.
And then...
Here we go.
Like I've got a cup of cheese over there.
If you want to sit over there you can sit over there.
Nobody can stop me can they?
Yeah we could do the kids to do it as well.
Yeah.
Yeah easy.
What do you say Moll?
Yes you can Mollie.
Just turn up.
Alright you've been pre-vetted.
You've been pre-vetted as a volunteer.
Yeah turn up.
Are you going to Blackwood is there?
We can't get... still haven't... the donation centre still ain't ready for volunteers anyway.
What I'd like to do is move Dan and Chloe out of Blackwood.
Into the donation centre.
So they can crack on organising and sorting.
And I need other people now to run Blackwood.
Wherever we put Blackwood.
And not looking to shut it and go.
Go elsewhere.
I think that's what the website was trying to make.
No I haven't.
I've got less than 18 months left on a lease in Blackwood.
I'm not happy that the landlord wouldn't fix electric.
Luckily National Grid has done it for us.
So that's saved them a lot of money.
Then they tried to push a bill onto us and we're like we're not paying it.
Then they wanted to pay us an additional insurance.
So I was like no it's not in my contract.
In my lease.
Then I've had a bit of... you can't leave me.
I've got a mortgage to pay.
And I'm like... I've got to do what's right for us.
And the footfall is going up the marketplace and there's other shops going.
I can't wait to be the last one up there.
I need to start looking now.
And now the shops are starting to come up.
It's like dominoes now.
They're starting to go one by one.
And then the other thing is that they've said to us they want to turn it back into three shops.
They've already got a shop at the top of the high street there.
It used to be Charlie's Taxis.
I may have got the wrong shop.
I don't know.
But they've cut that into two.
So it's two corridors.
You rent in two corridors.
What?
Probably turn our shop up in black.
We're into eat.
And then you'll have barber shop, vape shop, barber shop, vape shop.
Anyway, they have expressed a desire to turn it back into three shops because it will make them more money.
So at the end of my contract, they're either going to put the rent up, which I've said no to.
Needs to reflect, you know, your rents need to reflect the cost of living crisis now.
Or they're going to want to turn it into three shops, aren't they?
So, you know, I don't know.
I don't know.
I would be surprised if... I'm not saying you wouldn't get anybody up there after us.
But what I would... I would be surprised if anybody could run anything successful up there.
Unless the council do something like take off the rates so that other shops go up there.
Or, I don't know, or the market charges sit on top of it.
As well, just here in the precinct.
I am gutted because I'm not going to get a shop that size with our window for that price on the ice street.
But I'm not going to get the footfall either, am I?
So I need to make a leap.
It's not the original land.
I don't know if I said that earlier.
It's not the original land, I would say.
They sold the lease to somebody else.
We had no problems the first year we were there.
And then we've had a new lease and it's like, we want you to pay all of this, but we're not paying any of that.
It's like, right, but you've got to because that's already in the lease.
Because electric... if a bulb went, I can change a bulb, right?
If there's a problem with the electric box, we can't touch it, right?
Because insurance would be void, certificates would be void.
You know, and then the other thing is, like, we were without power in the two rooms and hot water.
Since last November, right?
So they've only just turned it back on, like, middle of May.
They've gone in and fixed it, you know?
And it wasn't cut off or anything because obviously half of it was still, well, not half of it, one third of it was still working, you know?
So I can't tamper with anything like that.
I can change a bulb, I can screw something back on a wall or whatever.
But we can't mess with that.
And because it was out, we had problems with health and safety turning up all the time on our back.
And we're like, well, I can't fix it.
I can't force them.
You know?
And I think that affected the footfall for us as well.
Because people... it was dark, you know?
The temporary light.
And it's only temporary light, and it does what it says on the box, doesn't it?
If you...
The thing is, if you're with somebody like that, you're paying a lot of money for Blackwood Shop, a lot more than the others.
And you've got somebody who can't... who won't work with you.
Straight away, like...
And another thing was, they were like, oh, we'll put it on social media.
I was like, what, I'm already over social media?
I get paid for being on social media?
Crack on!
I was like, you know, emailing me stuff like this.
I'm like, because I want to end my lease, you know?
So, yeah, that's the plan.
That is the plan, guys, anyway.
So, we are there.
We've got the rest of this year.
When did we go in?
Was it August?
Was it end of August?
Yeah, it was, I think.
When it was summer.
So, we would have been there two years in August, end of August, and then I got another year.
So, it's less than 18 months there.
But the footfall is dire up there.
And we've been checking.
We've done a bit of research on it, you know.
We've sat there and we've sat on the bench and gone, right, let's count the customers back and forth, all the shops.
Just not walking up around the marketplace anymore.
Plus, things like bus fares have gone up.
And I think, you know, people are not using the buses so much, or they're not, you know, getting off at the bus station where they were before.
See, it's not just location.
It's the location within the location.
We're in the wrong location here.
But we had a good... I've got a kettle in the kitchen.
I've got one.
He's not streaming for me, is he?
If I've got a kettle, tell him.
You'll be alright, dear.
We'll make him tea.
Yeah, so I just don't think it's going to be a viable store.
This, I'm quite surprised with the footfall.
This, they're putting houses and shops and...
Was it shops or restaurants?
I don't know.
So this has got potential, hasn't it?
This one.
And the rent was the right rent.
It was a good, sustainable, you know, acceptable rent.
I mean, that little card cabin one on the ice-tree.
Right?
Do you want 800 pound a month for that?
There's no toilet in there.
I'm quite sure the pubs would be like, yeah, use the toilet.
But they're not going to be like, yeah, use the toilet every hour.
For the rest of your life that you're in that shop.
800 pound a month for the card cabin.
Remember, you know the little narrow one.
In Blackwood ice-tree.
I don't pay that for Caerphilly.
I don't know, I don't pay that for my two in Pontypool, together.
So, yeah, I think you need to be realistic about rents.
But I've got to be honest, because of the lack of footfall.
And they left us without power.
It created problems for me.
We did have power, but only a third of it was working.
Because it was on a separate system, you know.
A separate electrical system.
And then the bill came in and it was like 800 odd pound.
The court was.
And we were like, oh, I can't do this.
And then National Grid said, no, they're 8.99 each on Amazon.
And showed us.
A lot for Labour that would have been, wouldn't it?
Just to put the part in the machine.
But I think even if they rang me back today and said, oh, right, we'll match this price.
We'll do it half price.
I think I'd still say, no, I'm not happy there, you know.
And I feel like I'm itching to move on to the high street.
I'm like itching for it now.
Even if they rang me today and said, oh, we'll do this.
We'll do that.
I don't think I would.
I think it's time to go.
It wasn't the shop I wanted, but it was the best, second best shop at the time.
I wanted the Westgate, but they wanted 16,000 pound and the roof was coming in.
16,000 pound a year and the roof was coming in.
So obviously, I think the brewery have bought that and they've done it up, obviously.
That's where I wanted because I sat there and did the footfall count.
There's one with stairs, which I don't think it'll work with us, but I do like it.
And then there's another one right further down.
It would work because our customers will come to us, but then we wouldn't get passes by that maybe have never shopped with us before.
So it's like, do we want to make that leap?
Oh, and that's dearer.
That's about the same price as what I'm paying anyway.
So is there any point?
There's no point, is there?
And I think it got steps out the front, which puts off my pram mothers and, you know, people in mobility scooters and we get lots of people in.
But it's not going to be long now, you know, the shops are shutting like there's no tomorrow.
And I think we'll get what we want.
We usually do, didn't we?
We manifested the racking, we manifested the forklift, we manifested the lorry, didn't we?
You know, we manifested the shop in Caerphilly.
Landlord rang us.
Do you want my shop in Caerphilly?
Not really.
You can do this, Ren.
I'll do this then.
OK, thank you.
So, yeah, I think we could... we need to manifest it.
Manifest is to move to the high street now, guys, all right?
We know we can do it.
And I think we'd be happy.
I don't particularly want to leave, shut mine down and put it into storage.
I'd rather just transition over to another shop.
And I think that's why I'm looking at these smaller ones, which are no good for me and I know it.
You know, I know they're no good for me, but I'm looking at them thinking, well, if I just take that one on for now, it's like, well, I've got to move again then.
So I think...
Unless we're down by Barnardo's or in the middle bit of the high street between Wilkinsons and a pound shop, either side don't matter.
I think that's where we need to go.
And it needs to be a ground floor flat, you know, a ground floor shop.
With prom access.
There's loads.
I mean, if we ring them up about the casino, remember the old casino?
I can't remember.
There used to be a bread shop years ago, a cake shop, if that's the one next door to it.
What is 2,800 a month?
The casino couldn't afford it, they left.
The gambling casino couldn't afford it and left.
Well, it's not worth 2,800 a month.
Have you seen the state of it?
Go online and have a look at the state of it.
It's not.
So...
Keep your eyes out now.
There are a few of us that have come up that I've inquired about.
But...
It's not the one I want.
Manifest the one I want now.
Manifest me one in the middle.
Really good rent.
Yeah?
Because, I mean, Caerphilly have come down in their rents and they go higher footfall than Blackwood.
And that's on the council website, that is.
And if you've got a good shop in Bargard, in the middle, by Savers...
I don't want to go anywhere else.
Anywhere else is too far up.
I don't want to go past the other charities, the St David's and the Barnardo's.
If you've got a good one there, 3 to 400 a month, I'd like to take that off your hands too.
But I don't want to be any further up than those two charity shops.
I want to be in the middle of them.
So if you're looking for a sustainable tenant...
In Bargard.
Because we were looking at one in Bargard and it was too much, it was too high.
And the rent was too high.
And we were going to go for it.
We were going to go for it.
And the seller, the agent, dragged their feet.
So I mean, awful.
And then, after Christmas, four other shops shut down there.
And I was like, no, I'm not paying that rent now.
Because you've just had four shops shut.
Well, we've been waiting for you to deal with the paperwork.
You know?
So this is what I'm offering you now.
And they said no.
And it's still sat there empty today.
When you could have had a tenant and they're paying rent.
I'll bring his own coffee.
We'll pay for his coffee, tell him.
We'll pay for his coffee.
If he's going to do jobs for us, no problem.
Right, I better go then, guys.
Now that I've eaten my bread.
I'm going to do some work now.
Best not be sleeping on the job like I do.
Get reported to the fire people.
