Right, so the rain is... is it holding off of it?
I don't know.
We've had a few... we've had a few customers since I've been in.
Which would be nice.
A few visitors.
Nice to see Alison again.
So, as you know, I'm not very well.
A lot of my volunteers are vulnerable adults or unwell themselves.
We're really busy and we're opening another shop.
But I'm getting messages off people that say, have you got this in a black with three legs, polka dots, stripes on the reverse and two boob holes and 14 buttons?
And it needs to be 75 centimetres across.
Guys, I didn't even know that it was Thursday and the meat van was up there on Thursday.
We can't personal shop for you over online.
We run second hand shops, curiosity shops, thrift shops, whatever you want to call them.
You need to come in and look.
I can tell you what's your best shop if you want tablecloths or if you want picture frames or if you want cups or if you're looking for Chinese ornaments or if you're looking for tiger themed things.
I can tell you what your best shop is.
But what I can't do is tell you the exact measurements and if we got this, that and the other.
And I can't hold it for you anyway.
So even if I did have a polka dot three legged bra holder, I wouldn't be able to hold it for you.
Because if somebody comes in and says, oh, I've been looking for a three legged polka dot bra holder with stripes on the back.
I'm going to let it go, guys.
Because we're too busy to even have time to think some days.
I mean, I've got about 40 bags of donations that I put in the car and I've got 40 bags of donations to sort by year now.
Right?
Literally, we haven't got time to personal shop, unfortunately.
We can give you a rough idea what shop it's in.
What's your best shop to go to.
Somebody asked for a vintage wedding dress the other day for a hen do.
And I said, oh, this one at Blackwood.
And they went to Blackwood and they bought it.
And they were well chuffed because they had it for a fiver, you know.
So I can do that.
I can save you a bit of time that way.
But what we can't do is the personal shopping.
You know, you need to come in and look, unfortunately, guys.
So very sorry about that.
But as you know, we are extremely busy.
We need volunteers on a daily.
You're going to need new volunteers for the shop.
I've got a nice volunteer that might be down here.
That's good.
And I've got my under 18 year old that comes down here as well.
He's good.
Very reliable.
He's a good worker.
So yeah, I am being very well today.
But I think I'm messing with my own blood sugar.
Because I had sherbet straws this morning for breakfast.
Candy floss yesterday for breakfast.
It's not a good breakfast meal.
Now I've got the shakes.
So I'm trying to eat a ham roll now.
Which I think is my own blood sugar I'm messing with now.
So I've got to be careful.
But it is all tying in, isn't it?
With the diagnosis they're trying to give me.
It is all tying in.
Because you need to check your blood sugar.
On patients that have haematology problems.
We'll only say that, is there?
But it is all investigatory at the moment.
So...
I think they were having a go on the website when they said it was all investigatory.
It just shows what type of people they are.
And if somebody's got a letter like that that comes through the door.
Everybody else sympathises with them.
They think, oh my god, I hope they're going to be alright.
But the ones on the website, like...
Just shows what type of people they are.
And why their charities and their groups aren't as successful as ours.
Isn't it?
Because we're here for the people.
We're here to help people.
So yes, I am very sorry but I cannot do direct shopping.
And keep it for you either.
I mean, if somebody was to say, I want those two chairs out the front.
The red ones.
These are the picture of them.
I'm going to pay for them and then I'm going to come down online.
Then I can hold them.
But I can't do other stuff unfortunately guys.
Because we're just too busy.
