Hey guys, we've been busy down here today.
Fair play.
Fair play.
We haven't had any abuse yet off the pantry have we?
And they're cronies.
So we did give it two weeks didn't we?
We've had a move around.
We've had a move.
Look at this.
Lovely stuff.
This is the stuff I had from the skip.
Come on, ask me.
Beautiful stuff.
Don't chuck nothing out guys.
Chuck nothing.
Bring it here, honestly.
Honestly, we've had tons of work to do.
I've had to bring the clothes in because I'm not sure if it's going to rain.
It's been raining in black but apparently.
I've priced these quite high because I actually quite like them for display so I'd rather keep them than sell them.
But if they go for the right price we'll let them go.
So anyway, we've got the Kalex unit in.
My under 16 year old.
He's a corporal in the army cadets.
So he got that in.
Brilliant.
So we've got quite a bit of that on the window now.
I hope she likes it.
I hope she likes a wooden spoon.
One of our customers, he bought a big wooden spoon.
He said something about a stirrer or something.
He thought it was brilliant.
He's got it for his mate's wife.
Fantastic.
£2.50, that's all it was.
Anyway, we had a good laugh.
I love this bowl but I don't know where I would put it.
But it's beautiful.
It's all half price.
We've guaranteed half price or £20.26 and three for a pound on the children's and baby's till £20.26.
So we have had a bit of a move around today.
That looks good there.
It's also a really shiny one.
Which is nice.
So we've got quite a bit in.
So I could do with some hooks there now though.
To hang something down there.
So yeah, I think it looks nice.
When I take the stuff away now, I think it'll look quite nice.
Different from the outside because our display has been up for a while.
And I think we sort of backfilled it with a lot of junk.
I'll be honest with you.
We were like, oh put that in the window, put it in the window.
And then we've taken out like the box toys ready to keep out the front or maybe transfer to a different shop.
If we haven't got room for them down here.
But now, a couple of things come in.
So they'll go on the pound rail.
So now...
Or they'll be a pound a roll.
And then I think I've got a couple of sealed ones.
They'll be one pound odd.
So now, I still don't like this set up here.
So we need to change this.
I've been looking at dresses.
There was one like this.
On Marketplace which just gone.
But it was four.
So I'd have to shift that one.
Because obviously I haven't got a lot of room there.
If it's a double one, I can pick it up in my car.
If it's a triple, I'm going to need it delivered.
Which is going to add to... it's going to come out to baby bank money.
Which I don't like doing.
So if I can pick it up for free.
I can get a double in there.
Easy look.
And maybe a corner one then.
And maybe lose some of these.
We're thinking.
That's the plan.
I don't know what this does.
I'll have to light it up and have a look.
Unusual lamp.
How does that light up then?
What's that look like in the evenings?
Oh, we had tons.
Absolute tons from that skip.
I'm still going through it now.
Absolute tons I had.
Brilliant.
Thank you so much.
Don't bin anything guys.
We'll always take it.
Look at those snowmen that come in.
They're vintage, aren't they?
Beautiful they are.
Oh, see that teapot guys?
It goes with a set.
So whoever sells that set, make sure you sell the teapot with it.
I'm not sure if there's something at Blackwood as well that matches it.
I'll have to have a look.
I need more teddies from Pontypool.
If you get any in.
Don't take them out of your basket.
To go up there.
I think they'd look better.
And there.
He's back filled that.
Yeah, I could probably have about five big bags of teddies.
Or if any other charity shop's got any of this.
St David's come down today to wish us good luck.
Like I said, we work quite well with quite a few of the other registered charities.
It's only one or two that give us a problem.
And that's why we don't work with them.
And that is what the problem is.
We refuse to work with them.
And then it makes the public think, well why is Jayne not working with them?
And that's the problem in there.
When I say no.
When I've got proof.
I can win receipts.
You know that girls.
Yeah?
I can win receipts.
I got proof that I said I don't want to work with these people.
That's what they don't like.
They don't like it because of course people are like, why won't Jayne work with them?
Because they're rogues.
That's why.
They're wasters.
You can look into their accounts yourself.
You can request it anyway.
You can request anybody any charity's accounts online off the Charity Commission and they've got to give them to you.
So if you wanted to look into them yourself you could.
But yeah we've done quite well today in Briscoe Row.
I've still got some stuff to work through and the traffic's quite bad so I'll carry on.
But I'm going to grab myself some sugar now.
Because I feel a bit rough.
Thursday I'll be open down here but I'll be late because I've got doctor's appointment.
And then I think I'm here Friday as well.
Pontypool tomorrow I'll be.
Blackwood is open.
Well Blackwood and Pontypool are open all week.
You know that.
It's only this one that I need volunteers for.
Now the health visitors come in today as well.
So we've linked up with the health visitors.
No dress to take out cards so they can recommend.
There you are.
That's NHS health visitors coming in and recommending us.
Oh they're nice.
Look at them.
Trousers.
Beautiful.
So you know health visitors don't link up with you if you're as bad as everybody makes out.
But I've also told the health visitors to tell their mothers we pay £20 a day in stock.
And that's not taxable.
You don't pay tax on second hand goods.
It's a gesture of goodwill from me.
So any mothers that want to volunteer can.
And then if they want to come and get some clothes for themselves.
Baby clothes, books, toys.
Whatever in it guys.
You can.
Because you can take it out of that money.
You know.
That's what it's ring fence for.
That's why we're here.
To help mothers and children in the community in as many multiple ways as we can.
I don't know where to go.
Are those cafe things that stick out?
Do you put them over there?
What do you think?
Bring a council and ask them, is there?
Because then we can run a cafe over there.
You can't run it in here because it's too small.
But we can run it over there and do free teas and coffees.
Drinks.
And what not.
So yeah.
I need another dresser.
So keep your eye out on Marketplace.
And I could do with three of the glass Ikea cabinets to go here instead of this table.
Because they're as wide as that table.
The square ones.
I get three there really easily.
