We've had loads of customers in today.
Thank you so much.
We've had donations in as well.
Thank you.
I've managed to do the crockery.
That thing's coming up really expensive.
So I've got to check it.
I've got two casualties.
It's been lovely.
I've also had two now.
Previous volunteers come in.
And I think we're looking at two more volunteers that are going to start with us.
Isn't that brilliant?
We've had really good sales today.
I haven't checked the other shops yet.
Daniel's doing a pick up.
I've got a house clearance in Bristol on Sunday.
So if you want a mystery bag and you want to pick it up from that location in the morning without paying any delivery you can have a mystery bag for £10.
But you've got to pick it up.
But I money there for about an hour, hour and a half maximum.
I need a trailer and a roof rack.
HGV I need.
Sold quite a bit.
Sold quite a bit.
A bit of a big accident or something.
I've got some more bits out.
We've sold the dolls out.
We've sold the surfboard.
Sold some other stuff.
It's a lovely little shop with some.
I've got to clean that window.
I keep forgetting.
I don't want to have to keep them and put them up there.
But we can only put teddies on them, see.
Because we want soft stuff up there.
So will that be a nuisance?
I can't think where else.
I have a think volunteers.
If you're thinking of somewhere else we can put them.
I've got a plan.
I've backfilled the cupboards.
This one I've got to get in.
Somebody's pinched my knob.
I need to get in here and see what's in here.
They look like sleep suits, don't they?
I can't get in there.
I don't know why I have to get Daniel to do it, I think.
I've got no strength, see.
I need somebody with a bit of welly.
And we were thinking if we just take the dolls off for now.
Because we've got a lot of books.
I've probably got about a hundred books.
So far, two signed copies.
That's off Steve and his wife they were.
From Bridge Endway.
The doll clearances.
No, I've got no strength.
I used to be so strong.
Gives me down.
It's a flat knife, isn't it?
I don't think it's this thing dropping it.
That's lovely.
So that's lovely we've had people to come in and volunteer and everything.
It is addictive, guys, once you start volunteering you.
It's me it is.
Everybody goes, addicted to me.
No, it is.
You're helping loads of people.
So even if you don't like me coming out the other people.
That's what I just say.
So I'm going to be in, I think it's six-ish.
Probably be at a seven, maybe eight.
I don't know if I'll still be serving at eight.
Because I can't get anything flat.
Because it might be a bit too noisy.
So I'll probably pack up a row at seven, up at seven.
Lovely clothes have gone today down here.
Me and Alison done them, remember Al?
We got all this ready and then we shut it down for a bit.
But I've got some lovely books to go to.
Jan's been in as well.
She's just filled up all her baby clothes to see what we need.
And folded and sorted, so that's brilliant because that needed to be done.
We are a bit low because we've been doing filler bag for a fiver.
Plus we've been sending off bags, plus the vintage.
Because the mothers in England now are taking advantage of this.
And Northern Ireland, so they're taking advantage of the mystery bags for a fiver.
Or mystery bags for a tenner.
I haven't posted any to Ireland or England yet for ten pounds.
But they are interested in them.
So I've probably got about a hundred, maybe two hundred bucks out there to sort.
To clean, sort and go through.
But I've had two signed copies so far.
I only put them up to 25, I had to put signed copies.
So...
I've had some nice ones in this.
All the ones with the big ones on.
Put them in the normal pile.
I can't believe your sister here is beautiful.
I'm going to just sat them there.
So I think I'll probably be here till at least 7.
But I won't be trading after 7.
If I'm here I'm just going to be sat here doing the books.
So I'll have it down and have the shutters down because I can go at the back way.
Yeah, so I've got to try and get in that cupboard.
I need a semi-flat screw driver or something to put it out.
That's where I need.
It's all half price.
It's lovely.
So we've had some of the old mothers that used to support us over the other shop and this shop.
And some of the new mothers as well.
That's brilliant, isn't it?
Absolutely brilliant.
I've also had two people in.
That know where I want another shop.
And they know the owner.
And I was like, I've got my eye on his shop.
But he owns the shop.
He might be approaching retirement age.
We might consider it if he knows he's got somebody that wants to rent his shop.
Additional.
This is an additional shop now.
I don't know whether that's a swimsuit or whether it's a reater order it is.
It's £12 in pre-marked new.
So we put it up for 6.
So it'll be 3 quid for the sale.
Bit jazzy, innit?
And then I had to take the food off there because somebody bought my doll's house.
And I had to take all the china off the doll house at the front.
So this is a bootie for sale.
So yeah, but the only thing I don't like here is this set up.
People keep buying stuff and I'm like hang on now, I'm trying to figure it out here.
We've moved a lot of stock from here today.
A lot of stock we've gone.
Well stocked on nappies, don't we?
Here we are.
So I was just explaining now to the lady who was going to volunteer and she was like yeah but how do you know they can have nappies?
I said well we don't judge.
If they've come in and they're a customer and a donator because they're supporting other mothers because you're buying stuff or you're bringing stuff in for us to sell or gift out or whatever or to use in the shop.
Sometimes we use stuff if it's a kettle or something like that or a toaster or something.
We had envelopes every week so I needed envelopes so we used those.
But if they're a customer or a donator they automatically qualify for them.
So they don't need to give their details.
They don't need to give reasons why.
They need a pack of nappies or a formula.
And on the whole we don't get...
Well, we have been ripped off in the past.
You know, wax melt woman is friends with somebody who wanted 20 tins of milk once.
But I'm sure we'll...
This one have come in and somebody's written on it Ray book.
I don't know why.
I'm going to have to research that because I can't see why it's Ray.
And then that thing down there is coming up nearly £200.
It's a portable high chair.
A little bit nifty I suppose.
If you're a hiker and you want to take a high chair.
I don't know, you should just sit up against a rock.
Because it's like a hiking bag, I don't know.
So I'll have to have a look at it anyway but I've never seen anything like that in a grey bag.
So I'm going to price up the books today now.
I'm going to get as many as I can.
They need to dust these ones down here.
I want to bring the Hoover with me next time.
So I can Hoover cobwebs and stuff and get right in the corners.
Because we haven't got a Hoover down this shop.
If you've got a spare Hoover, we would be grateful if you could drop it off.
To here with the pipes.
We need long pipes for this shop.
Got a lot of donation bags in Pontypool I think today.
They've had over 10, 15 maybe full of stuff.
We've had about 5 down here.
I don't know what black was that.
I need to go to Carful to pick up now.
So yeah, anyway.
I don't know what the time is.
Should I get it up?
Oh yeah, so I'll be at least 7 during the books now.
Glad Jan came in because I would have had to do the baby clothes.
Because they were looking a bit rough.
But she's done them.
And sorted them into sizes etc.
So I can crack on with this job now.
Because they are in the way a little bit out there.
And we need to get them tidying boxes ready for people to browse.
And then I've had another volunteer working for my painter.
She's been looking at canvases and different stuff.
And liaising with different places to pick up paints.
We need paints in as well guys.
And I've told her to just crack on now.
So they will be wet paint in Pontypool.
So yeah, thank you for your custom today guys.
We've had a good day in the shops.
Another good day.
That's brilliant isn't it.
I don't know what the highest sale was today.
Oh 22.50 I took was my highest sale today.
One item.
But I don't know what the others have had.
I haven't really looked.
I know Sammy had quite a few.
I don't know what Dan's had.
But tomorrow now this will be shut.
But hopefully next week we're looking at opening in three days.
And I've got volunteers you know.
And that's good.
That's good.
Because I can't just...
I need to be hopping around the shops now.
And keeping an eye on things.
And sorting things out.
Rather than being based in a shop all the time.
So just after this it will be the donation centre.
But that's going to take us a week or two to get ready.
Because it's full again.
So I'll see you in a bit guys.
