Right, let's have a quick look over here.
I've got some stuff to drop off.
What's this?
Somebody's left me a toilet seat.
Thank you very much.
Can we have a heated one?
It was a bit cold in Pontypool in the winter.
So yeah, look, looking quite nice actually.
Let's see if I can come back.
Well done, Sammy.
And the guys were here today.
It's looking very nice.
You can tell I've had two days off from here.
It's all tidy.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, they've come in.
Fabulous.
Oh, they look good guys.
They've been painted, you know, ready for a launch of the cafe.
So yeah, Don's been busy as well.
Look, the other staff have been busy.
Tons of donations in here.
Absolute tons.
Lovely.
Well, we still haven't found a home for these yet.
But we will have them in here.
They can go anywhere because they're lockable.
So don't worry if they go in the middle because nobody can get in them without the keys.
That should have a... I did find it.
That should have a transformer to that as well.
I was gonna keep it to massage the staff when they look like they're taking out.
But nobody else wanted to use it.
Well, this is much better by you know.
Yeah, we're getting there anyway.
We're getting there guys.
Got some good sales today over here.
Showtime.
I got blood tests in the morning, haven't I?
Blood tests for everything.
So fingers crossed now.
Fingers crossed.
They do my blood tests, inject new and keep me going.
Because my knees are doing all right now with the steroid injections.
I can't flake off now, can I?
Some bit of washing being done by the look of it.
Yeah, I think it's nice now.
I know we got some excess bits here.
But obviously when the excess bits are out or they've sold, then
clearly...
Welcome to Waterstones 2.0.
I love it.
Absolutely love it.
We now own a vintage bookshop.
Don't we?
I mean, you can call it a bookshop now.
Oh, we'll be like community volunteers.
We'll have a different name every week.
Yeah, so we can call it a bookshop now.
Because you're walking into a bookshop, aren't you?
I don't know if I'm gonna stay tonight.
Because like I said, I got blood tests in the morning.
So I might just go home and have an evening with the cats.
We've had a few sad mugs in, haven't we?
Is that Glossy Box thing full?
Bills.
Or is it just an empty Glossy Box calendar?
Might be empty.
That's okay because the calendars are quite collectible on their own, I find.
Oh, I think it's empty.
But the calendars are very collectible on their own, so we'll probably get maybe even 15, 20 at a push for that.
Just for the empty calendar.
And it's a bit... I know, we've got a lot.
Even for me to say that now, it's a lot, isn't it?
Well, I guess I've got more in the car.
And my mum's done some scarves.
Look at that.
Oh, that's lovely, isn't it?
What price we got on that?
Five.
That'll be £2.50.
That's stunning, isn't it?
For £2.50.
I love this lamp.
But we haven't got a bulb.
I wanted to see how the light fell out of it.
It's like an interrogation lamp.
I love it.
And we love this, but we've got to find a place for this.
The idea for the staff, in the middle of the shop, to put their stationery in and then we could lock it.
So you could keep stuff in there, but you've got a workstation.
But I just think we just haven't got a room to keep it.
We can't deliver this.
Me and Sammy, the muscles, you know.
Muscle woman.
Even she struggled with this.
And I'm useless now.
I used to be really strong.
Now I'm not.
I'm becoming useless.
So yeah, nice little jacket there.
Oh, it's biggy.
Oh, tired.
Tired.
Oh, they sold another suitcase in Blackwood.
Might take that one up there.
A lovely dress, isn't it?
Hang it up.
Pull it down now.
Make a mess.
I don't want to make a mess.
You know, a lovely clean shop.
But yes, let's do it again.
Let's walk in.
It looks like a...
I mean, that's what I love about Pontiac, is how quirky it is.
Anyway, you know, so you've got the front of the shop, you know.
And then, here you come.
I mean, well, we've got one, two, three, four, five, six.
I think six.
We've got more than six, because we've got downstairs.
But I think that qualifies for a vintage bookshop now.
Don't it?
Fab.
£25 a day down the tuck on books.
From the 1970s books.
Brilliant, isn't it?
Brilliant.
There's nobody else taking... Now, other places are getting rid of their books quicker, because they're ten for a pound or whatever city prices are going on.
But they're not getting the revenue that they're getting.
So they're probably on a par with us right now.
But now that we've set it out like a bookshelf, like a bookshop, we're going to get more revenue from the stuff that the other charity shops and the other groups don't want.
Because they're heavy, they're bulky, and they're slow movers.
So with the Aberdashery.
And now we're probably top sales for Aberdash.
That's what it's all about.
See you later, guys.
Right, let's get some more in.
My mum's done about 50 scarves.
Some more scarves for you guys.
