So I'm up here today because obviously I want to see what they've got.
We've like, we've found loads of tags after, it's probably more like three, four hundred he's sold of vintage clothes.
We're just putting some stuff out now.
Checking bits and bobs and what have you.
But one of my pet hates is dirty children's books.
I tell all the staff don't put them out unless they're clean.
But what I will say is we've had some right rotters in lately.
Absolutely minging books in.
I'll try and find the pictures below to show you the state of some of the children's books that's been donated recently.
You know, I don't know, perhaps some people don't realise they've got to clean their children's toys in their books.
But like, this is quite mucky for my standard, I would say.
I mean, I had some once that was stinking and I'm sure Sue will tell you.
She came over the donation centre and I said, Oh God, look at the state of these children's books.
I said, imagine the state on the child.
And then within about 10 minutes of me cleaning the children's books, because I didn't have my gloves on, didn't have a mask on, did I, you know.
I was sick as a dog everywhere.
And I swear it was off the kids books, the Jones, because before that I was fine.
And Sue was there, she'll tell you, I was sick as a dog.
So yes, so I'm not sure if everybody knows, so obviously no hate to anybody.
But you should be cleaning your children's toys and books, because look at them.
They're quite dirty.
Some have been worse than this.
We've had bits of food wedged inside them with mould growing on them, believe it or not.
But I'm going through them today to make sure they're nice and clean and tidy.
Because obviously, I don't want anything put out in this condition, whether it's a book or an ornament or anything.
