So I'm a bit busy today and my first lot of customers have shopped this part and the pound shop and that's it.
As you can see, I'm low on staff and I'm busy.
But I just want to show you all this.
It's all been donated by another charity shop.
Okay, so if you come in today, if it's not priced, it's not for sale.
It's the same in any of our shops anyway.
If it's not priced, it's not for sale.
Where did he come from?
I'm sure he sold here.
Where did she come from?
She's lovely.
350.
Bargain.
I think that was ours.
We have had stuff from other charity shops.
No price tags on there.
You'd be surprised.
Right, find a shelf, innit?
Look at this coming wool.
Beautiful.
I think it's size 16.
It's very nice.
Vintage wool.
Should be £12.50.
And obviously you get a £5 free spend then because it's over a tenner.
So yeah, I mean there's some stuff in there that would be used for scrap paper.
You know, and then there's some stuff, you know, that I'm quite sure we sell for £50 an account.
And then there's some stuff in here that's made a lot more as well.
So thank you very much.
Like I said, give me notice because I can't just drop everything and pick up.
But we well all of these.
All of that down there.
Thank you to the volunteers that came in this morning.
They came in to do this morning to help out.
So I do appreciate it.
And thank you to the customers who have come in and been patient because they've gone, well I like this but it's not priced.
And I know you don't sell it if it's not priced.
And we've said, give us two seconds because you've been polite.
And we'll research it and then we'll give you a price.
So it's when people come in and go...
Mum, you've just come in, one of my mums.
Did you not buy that?
Or was it two?
Or did you swap it for the digger?
I can't remember.
Let me know.
Let me know with that.
So yes, that's my job today now.
Price all of this.
It's not too bad because sometimes they put their stickers on them and I'm like, oh I'll just use your stickers.
So here's me putting my stickers on them.
And then obviously we're looking at rain today so I haven't pulled everything out.
Well, Sammy put this out.
But she hasn't pulled everything out.
So it's fair enough, you know.
We've had a busy couple of weeks.
Stressful again.
People making false complaints about us again.
So it's nice really to have a nice easy day on toys.
And sorting things out.
But yeah, it's all good stuff.
We might need a battery.
I think you're boiling these up and down.
You might need a battery.
But look, brand new tags.
And yeah, we're grateful of it guys.
Beautiful.
I love this.
I think that might be Cameo Rose.
Oh look, there's so many more.
Cameo Rose can be expensive.
It's beautiful.
It's good quality, mine Cameo Rose.
I've got to be honest.
So I'll have to go through that.
I don't know what that thing is.
There is a few things.
It's a bit...
You know, but the majority of it.
I mean look, they're always going to go when they...
They're always going to go.
So, yep.
If you had a charity shop out there.
If you could drop off, I would worship the ground.
The feet to walk on for the rest of your life.
If we need us to pick up, we can pick up.
But we need notice.
Unless you're on our roots home.
Or my volunteers roots home and they can do it every night of the week.
And they can go back because some charity shops have said...
The bin dippers are pulling it out.
If something gets put there at 9 o'clock at night.
If you guys are out, pick it up.
Which is brilliant.
Because inevitably the bin dippers are doing it to steal stuff.
Or to chuck it around.
Or to use as drug money.
We know that.
They are facts, aren't they?
Nobody is going in there for any purpose other than their own, are they?
In bags that are left outside charity shops.
And charity bins.
So...
You know, and it might be that they're only allowed to sell.
Because they're governed by the Charity Commission.
It might be that they're only allowed to sell stuff in sets of four.
You know.
Maybe there isn't four.
Maybe there's three.
But if we just put a pound on it, they'll go.
Do you know what I mean?
So it's like that's probably the only plate that's there.
You know, in that thing.
But somebody might say, well I'm looking for one plate.
And they can't fool it full.
Put it under a...
Under a pant.
Something like that, aren't they?
You know, or maybe they just want it to top up and do some mosaic with.
I don't know.
It's always something, isn't it?
It's always something somebody needs something for.
So...
I've just taken a pile up.
Should I be sorting games?
We've got quite a few games.
There's only those that I haven't got all the bits so far.
I haven't checked that train set.
But there's only those three that I haven't got all the bits.
But they could be in another bag.
See, can't they?
And we wouldn't bin those.
Because they're games.
They would go down the donation centre.
And I'd let Helen know.
And Helen knows, and the other staff know, if they see one, pick it up.
Because we might be able to make it up.
Or we might already have one of them in stock.
I know we've got three mousetraps down there.
We haven't had time to go down there and make one mousetrap out of it all, you know.
The only thing I don't do that with is jigsaws.
Because there's so many pieces.
And jigsaws will be hanging around forever.
So we just give jigsaws away for free if his part's missing.
But yeah.
I'm going to sit by here.
I might stick a film on.
I have my diet Pepsi.
My Pepsi Max.
I just plod along today, you know.
It's a quiet day.
Got a few people back and forth.
