Morning, guys.
I am here.
Obviously, we've had a bit of upset this week, haven't we?
So we're not firing on all cylinders this week.
I think we're gonna be here tomorrow because I've still got donations to sort through and the girls have had a move around.
They've got the tables in here but we really want them next time.
I'm doing a video appeal, I hope, because obviously as you've seen we've had a nasty bit of hate again.
So I'd like our followers, our mothers, to write to Caerphilly Borough Council and tell them why our service is needed in because I can understand if a genuine customer, a member of the public, makes a complaint, that's fine.
Right?
That's fine, that is.
We can work with that, can't we?
If somebody comes in and says, well I thought that looked a bit dangerous but it didn't.
I'll stand with it.
Then we can work with that and we can improve the situation, can't we?
So we're not going to think any donations don't end before we start.
This site's not open this morning.
Both sites will be open tomorrow.
But no donations, okay.
Or unless they make it don't last though.
My fault.
So yeah, what I'm gonna ask is, could you write to Caerphilly Borough Council and tell them why our service is needed in the community.
So we can find a better council because the other councils shred the complaints that come in.
They're not interested.
Because it's not fair when people are using a registered charity status to try and swing complaints against us and investigations against us all the time.
You know, it's harassment and it's bullying, innit?
So what I would like is if you could write us into the council and email them and tell them why you think our service is needed in the community.
You know, like we've had mothers go and pay £18 for food banks in churches and main church halls.
You know, it's ridiculous.
The trouble is that these so-called registered charities are dominating all the collections and everything else.
They dominate all the donations, they dominate all the grants.
None of these smaller community groups, I guess, can get a look in.
And as soon as we hit a little bit of popularity these registered charities will take it upon themselves to start writing complaints and liaising with head of staff for this, head of staff for that, you know, public officer of this, public officer of that,
and it really needs to stop.
You know, I can understand if a customer came in now and said, oh, those jigsaws could fall on me.
Yeah, we know.
We're in the process of trying to get rid of them and sorting them out.
Okay?
But then when you've got any charity shop will tell you, when you come in in the morning, it's like, oh, here we go.
Let's get all the stuff sorted ready for customers.
Any shop, any secondhand shop will tell you the same thing.
But what we need you guys to do now is to put it in writing and tell them why this service is needed.
Can I just squeeze past?
Yeah, on the hand.
Oh, go on.
Yeah, just chuck it over here.
That's great.
Thank you.
Yeah, that's great.
Thank you ever so much.
