Alright, so we've been busy.
We've been busy, busy, busy.
We've had a little look in by you and seen what we've got to do by you and figure out where this dump is coming.
It's quite damp in there, but we can we can keep stuff in there.
What's that bulb doing in there?
What a random place to have a bulb.
How bizarre.
Anyway, see we've got all PIRs up and everything, which is good.
It is damp in here, so we might not be able to have a dash, but they might be okay for shoes and stuff, I'm sure.
And the draft that was coming through these buildings, through the no man's land by her yesterday, it's going to do the buildings really good, because it's open.
We've got a plasterboard coming in.
It's a temporary fix for that, we know that.
We'll bash up that and then we can paint it.
See, in this room, once that's painted, we're ready then to put rails in you.
We'll rain it all, you know us.
Get as many rails as possible in you.
Little wedge here, look.
And then we're all sorted, aren't we?
We'll ring fence off upstairs to start off with, and then ring fence that off.
This is a bed that was donated.
We've still got to bring a headboard over, but it's a lovely bed, as you can see.
It's a It is very nice.
As we're going around now, look, this is where we're looking for, you know, right, that's a mess.
That can come off.
Bits of tape, you know.
That's not a bad wall, that's not a speaker, guys.
Some of it's sound and some of it's not, you know.
I mean, it ain't going nowhere, it's been here for years.
Right, so he screwed this down.
The door to the tunnels.
So we're still got something that we have to stop everybody coming through, I think, for now.
But we got big plans for that.
So working on this bit, as you know, as you can see, it's going to be a quick fix with a paint.
Like I said, a bit of paint and you'll do it when this room is sound as a pound like, you know.
So I'm sorting out some abadash, seeing what we got.
You got that big mirror to go up for customers to try stuff on.
The door is more secure.
We've had some other bits we've had to do.
Oh, this has been donated.
Any dentists out there?
I don't know.
Crack heads?
I don't know.
Honestly, what am I going to do with that?
Anyway, I'm sure we'll find... I'm sure it's laughing gas, isn't it, that is?
Nitrous oxide.
I'm sure it is.
Anyway, he's put them up.
It's not brilliant by you, but it's the first time he's at kept angles, I guess, which is not bad for a young DIYer.
So that looks a lot tidier.
I've got to do the windows probably tomorrow now.
I'll do them.
Jan has been sorting out the clothes lock into sizes.
I struggled with that the other day.
It's just so fiddly for me.
It's difficult to concentrate when you're in pain all the time with the knee and everything else.
So dealing with customers and talking to customers.
This is set up, and then we've put some of the toys in, but they'll have to come back off for me to clean the windows.
I've got to scrape all of this junk off it.
So I say to people, don't use sellotape.
I know it's not my guys, but look at the work it creates for other people.
A bit of blu-tack.
That's all you want.
So me and Chloe then.
I'm gonna get on with painting tomorrow.
Get that done so we can get the grid rails up.
I'm not too worried about moving the clothes because it's load size coat.
So this bit I'm nearly done.
I've washed that.
We've washed tons.
I've got loads up there washing tonight.
How am I going to deal with this bloody nitrous oxide?
I don't know.
I might have to ring the police and ask them.
I don't know.
It's all full.
What the hell of a box full.
Look at that.
God knows how much that cost.
There's somebody interested in that.
That wooden thing.
Yeah.
There we are.
A lot of this I can do tomorrow when I'm here.
So Blackwood will be open.
Pontypool phase one and two open.
I need somebody to run Risca and I need somebody to run the shop in the donation centre.
Not the donations.
They need to come in.
They need to be weighed and they need to be recorded and that's all that we'll do with those.
We don't need anybody going through the donations because people miss really important things.
People tend to chuck things out.
My volunteers will tell you I am a certified bin dipper and I don't care.
I won't chuck nothing in the bin.
Nothing.
And I even go back in the bin after myself and to drag stuff out because it's not about the baby bank isn't the passion.
The baby bank is a second passion.
Yeah.
It's all about stopping it going to landfill for me and that's where I choose to put the money.
I could keep the money.
I could profit from it.
Of course I could.
I can run a business.
I am running a business.
Running self run if you are noticed.
I'm always the PIR.
Look.
Picking me up now.
Did you see at the end of my past?
Did something.
There we are.
It's doing something.
See.
But I could keep the money.
I could profit the money.
I could make a lot of money off it but I don't want a penny of it.
Like I said for me it's about rescuing all of these fantastic items.
I don't want to hide it right now.
Let's figure something out.
From landfill.
You know that's what it's about for me.
So like I said there's no match that goes in our rubbish and I'll go back through that again now and see what it is see what we can do.
Go on rescue everything we know that.
But we have a damn good go at it don't we guys.
Fair play.
That's a I can't remember where I put it up for now.
30 maybe 25.
They're about 60 quid.
It's an older one.
But you can feel the weight on it.
It's a good one.
So you can put shelves in there.
But we salvaged that wood see.
All this wood that he's using here has all been salvaged.
We literally haven't spent no money on the wood as yet.
Other than I think it was one bit of a chipboard I think.
We didn't but we don't really need that.
Well we can use it somewhere else but he's rescued all of this.
He's carried it in here because I can't do it.
Like all those draw strips will rescue all of them off there now.
Yeah so I'm gonna take some more painkillers, more muscle relaxants.
Finish pricing up with And then tomorrow we're gonna tackle the odd shoes.
See how many we can get together in here.
It's upstairs like that.
I don't need all these lights on because it's ready for customers.
What we'll do tomorrow.
I don't know why I'm doing that.
Well they're all off I think now.
We'll bring you through tomorrow.
Sammy send the customers down.
I'll send them out but I'll walk you through.
Right so when you come by here give us a shout and we walk you through.
Make sure everything is safe because obviously you know there's bits and pieces around.
And then I'll bring the customers this way like we did the other day.
Walk you through.
And then Like I said this is where we're gonna be concentrating our efforts because we've really filled our room.
So we need to explode into this room now.
Ramps by here.
We don't need the ramps but you'd have to bump your pram down at the moment.
So for a smoother delivery.
But once that wall is covered.
I mean I don't even need to do it.
But I don't want to be plasterboarding with clothes.
So we'll just plasterboard that.
Get all of this cleaned up.
All the rough bits there.
Clean all that up.
Then you can go through it.
And then I can't even stand up straight anymore.
Then we concentrate on the ramps for the smoother delivery for you to go through.
And then we look in there at things people could snag themselves on.
Things don't need to be there.
We can take them as we go.
Like we do in all the places we go to.
You know.
It's come to come with a sharp saw.
So that's five.
Save as buying one.
Or lifting one.
Because the trouble with counters is they're really heavy.
Probably shall not be runs off of them.
So yeah.
There we are guys.
That's our progress report.
