Morning guys.
I'm demisting the car a minute.
Yesterday I've been off two whiners on the page and one that incriminated themselves by saying they were dumping waste that is used for charity slash business in commercial rubbish before they got a massive fine.
Somebody who's seen it.
What I'll say to you is that if you're doing any fundraising, anything to do with any business, you cannot put your rubbish in your bin.
You cannot take it down the tip.
You need to have a duty of care form and you need to be registered with the council to dispose of your waste.
And you have to pay extra.
The other thing is, if you're raising money for charity or any events, you need to let HMRC and trading standards be aware.
Because if you're selling anything back to the public, even if it's only a pound, you need to let trading standards be aware of what you're doing.
I have messaged them because I know they do fundraise.
But don't leave comments on my post.
We've been doing this a very long time now and we didn't know anything when we started.
So I will pass on the information to you because if you're taking all the stuff that you've done used down the tip, you could get fined for that massively.
And so could the charity you're collecting from.
So just be aware of that.
And the other thing is you need to let trading standards know.
If you're collecting, raising money for charity, running any type of small business, you have to let them know.
By law.
And HMRC.
Because there's certain records and things you've got to keep.
Which we do.
We've learnt that.
The other two got binned off because they were having a whinge about me saying I don't want any shite donated to us.
We don't want any broken, stained, damaged, incomplete toys brought to us.
This time of year people just clear out their crap and dump it at our place.
And they do it to all other places.
So last year and the year before I actually stopped toy donations two weeks before Christmas because the shape that they were coming in was shocking.
And we will send you back home.
Environmental Health has told every charity shop.
This is Cuffilly have told us this one.
I am supposed to have and they have said send them back.
When they come in through the door, go through the donations in front of them.
Anything you don't want send them back.
And that will cut down on your waste and stop them from bringing it in.
So that has come off environmental health.
That you will be sent home with your damaged, broken, incomplete, useless donations.
You can just put them in your bin because it's your property.
We can't.
It's also against the law for us to sell anything like that.
Regardless if we are selling it for a pound or a hundred pound.
Now every other charity shop in the country is ruled by the Charity Commission.
And they are governed by them.
So they can't say anything to you.
So on behalf of every other charity shop in the country.
Any other group that is collecting that knows they can't say anything.
Do not take your crap into a charity shop that is broken, damaged, stained and incomplete.
And I expect every charity shop in the country is giving me a standing ovation right now.
Because they are not allowed to say anything.
Because they are governed by the Charity Commission.
And I am not.
I am totally independent.
Do not take your shite into a charity shop.
Do not take it into anybody.
Do not dump it in a hospital.
Do not take it anywhere.
Put it in your own bin.
Like I said, anybody whining on our page goes.
One of them have never done anything.
She has never been a customer.
She has never been a donator.
And the other one donated a pile of junk.
I will be honest with you.
Because I always have a look.
I always keep my messages.
And I go back and I look at it and I think, yeah, yeah, one of you is an offender.
That's why we haven't collected off you since.
And the other one, you are just sat there looking for a fight.
So there you are.
You are gone now.
So, if we get any damaged broken toys in from this point on, you will be sent home with them.
The same as stained dirty clothes.
Volunteers are to go through them by the order of environmental health before we accept them.
Okay?
So if you have got a problem with it, contact the council, ask to speak to environmental health and they will tell you.
And quite frankly, every other charity shop needs to start doing it.
So if you want to clarify with environmental health, can you send people packing when they bring in their junk?
Yes you can.
Ring them up and make sure you have got our backing.
Okay?
