Yeah, so I had a gentle and queuing for a book this morning.
So I thought I'd just do the window.
We've sold a lot of books out of the window this week.
We do well on the books in Blackwood and we get the asking price in Blackwood.
They're on half price.
Here, Pontypool is doing well with them on half price, which is still good.
That's still good.
So, yeah, we've done really well with the books.
So don't forget, they're not just any old books.
OK, that's where I go through them all.
That one's a signed copy.
Yeah, that's going to be worth quite a bit.
The older it gets, the more it's worth.
We do really well with the books here.
I'm really pleased, to be honest.
I've given up with the live NASA wouldn't get a reception here in Pontypool.
Don't ever launch from Pontypool, NASA.
Those Hunter Wellies, they're lovely, they are.
I can't believe I've got a little dog picture still here.
That would have gone if it was in Blackwood.
Easy.
Got some nice shoes in the window as well.
I've written the sizes on them, girls, so that you can see.
So they can see from the window.
Otherwise, you're in, out, in, out the window all the time.
That's a daz, I was telling you about Sammy.
But 80 quid online, those are.
I've been worrying about them for ages.
So, something's gone from the day we sold.
So yeah, they've gone really...
The books in the window have gone really well, because I've sold at least two that I know of in the last two days.
And there's a few gaps.
So this is what I say to you now, because we're getting so many books, and the other charity shops don't want them.
They don't want anything that they can't flip for a good profit.
They're not putting the work into it, are they?
We're getting a lot of the books.
And because we collect vintage memorabilia, we're getting a lot of vintage memorabilia.
Like we get a lot of the rugby shirts.
Because the boys know that we collect the rugby shirts.
So we get a lot of those as well.
The books need to be the backdrop of the shop.
So you need to be working like you're in a bookshop now.
So the rest of the stuff.
Because the books are making quite a significant amount now, compared to anybody else, that's for sure.
Some of it, but we have to do a chart of it, and then you can see.
We can do you a pie graph and say, this is what we get from baby clothes.
This is what we get from adult's clothes.
This is what we get from shoes.
This is what we get from books.
And then you can see the difference, you know.
I can't believe he's serious.
I thought he'd have gone by now.
This little aboriginal art and this little man.
So yeah.
So it should be easier now to get in and out the window.
Because the items in the window are dearer.
Which means you're not in and out, in and out.
And they can see the shoes from the outside.
So they can look at them and go, 10.5, they're not going to fit me straight away.
Or they can say, size 40, they're not going to fit me straight away.
Still got the ready bed there.
35 he's at, probably be half price.
That's a nice little set there, if you're looking for a gift.
That's a nice set, because I don't think that's ever going to be more than our watch and our bracelet.
And that would be five today, don't forget.
So I think we're going to, I'm going to get some stuff out now.
Because I think we're going to have a weekend from hell.
We've got some nice designer handbags over here and some nice ones in black wood too.
And our little William Shakespeare book, I don't think he's going to be around long.
I think people are going to snap him up.
I think he's going to go.
Oh, that's a fame bundle.
There was a lot of different fames there.
So I thought I'm going to stick them together as a bundle.
But yeah, I'm pleased with the way that the books are going.
And like I said, now they need to be the backdrop to the shop because we're getting so many in.
I've got somebody in there now looking at the book.
I don't know where he is.
He's up the top there.
It won't be doing.
