Right, so, oh, it's been a hot day.
So I just want to say thank you to our volunteers because we've got some brilliant volunteers at the moment.
I'm a little bit concerned because we've had one volunteer that's collapsed in another job.
She works in another charity shop.
So I want you to make sure you've got fans on you, okay?
And I want you to make sure you're all hydrated.
They should be doing that in the other shops as well.
A lot of staff shouldn't have to... There is an illegal requirement for what heat you can work in, but there is for cold.
I can't remember what it is.
But I know there's no one for heat.
But please, please, if you've got fans, put them on in the shop.
I can't cope with the heat.
Anybody will tell you that.
I pulled up with the air.
I had to run in.
I was like a vampire.
I can't be out in the sun.
It kills me.
So please, please, please, guys, make sure you've got fans on you.
We have got another ex-volunteer that's kicking off.
She might make it to the Hall of Fame if she carries on.
Like I said, don't read everything.
You know, don't believe everything you read on Facebook.
She was dismissed because she was misusing a discount card and she wasn't following procedures.
And she had been spoken to on more than one occasion.
And she was getting a little bit rude with some of the staff as well.
Something I've learnt over the years is you need to take a constructive criticism.
Because sometimes it's easier for other people to point out a problem.
And at the time, it isn't very nice to receive a constructive criticism, is it?
It's not very nice when somebody says we could be doing our job better.
But sometimes you can go away and think about it and then you can improve on your behaviour.
And much of nursing training is about reflection.
And how you can improve your behaviour, your standard of work and patient outcomes, customer outcomes, by reflecting.
And I think sometimes people need to do that.
That's the biggest lesson that I've learnt in life is to take a constructive criticism positively and work with it.
Some people can't do that, obviously.
So yeah, I want to make sure now that all our volunteers, you've got your fans on.
Look, there's my Jayne's fan.
Don't even think about it.
Yeah, don't even take it away from me.
Because I can't function without it.
Managers, make sure you've got pop and water in the shops for the staff.
Make sure they all got their fans or if they're working somewhere and you can stick a fan on by a plug, make sure that there's no leads or anything on the floor.
But make sure they got fans on them as well, please, guys.
