It's been an hot day, haven't it, faithfully?
So, we've done quite a bit today.
We've had quite a few volunteers in today.
Thank you to my volunteers for coming in and giving me a hand.
Um, I've got a good tidy up today.
These just need to be pulled in today.
Dan have cleaned all of this for me.
Thank you for that.
I managed to get the dogs in the cupboard so they're not going to get damaged now.
You know.
Um, somebody asked if we had a... that's the only dream catcher I've got at the moment.
I think it's £2.
Um, it's the only one I've got.
Somebody asked, but I can't find the comment now.
I've had a few comments today.
Uh, yeah, so Dan's had a move around.
And then they've kind of tidied my desk.
We've priced those up.
Dan's taken washing home.
Car full of washing.
Um, we've priced those teddies up for Blackwood.
This lot has been sorted now.
Ready for pricing.
The table is down better the more it was.
We've done quite a bit of the, um, that's ready to go at Blackwood when we can make a space.
We've got prem boxes we need coloured in.
So we need people to pick them up for the children to kind of colour them in.
Um, a bit more pricing to go here.
Uh, copper wire.
Yeah, that's my copper wire box.
So we need that for when we cut it off.
They've been priced up ready for Blackwood, but obviously it's full.
Um, yeah, so we've done well.
So yeah, like I said, when we say no donations, it's because we've got a lot of donations to work.
Um, so we mean no donations.
Uh,
we had one person kicking off saying this is 10p in Blackwood.
Honestly, I'm not even making that up.
That's a direct quote.
10p in Blackwood.
So I'm going to ring the head office of that charity tomorrow to say why are you selling these things at 10p?
Because if they are, that's ridiculous.
If it's a customer just making it up, that's even more ridiculous.
Um, you shouldn't, you shouldn't be fundraising if you're charging 10p for something.
Do you know what I mean?
It's just, you're just useless.
Like, you've seen how much work.
We haven't stopped today.
I haven't stopped today researching the stuff that's coming in.
Whoever is charging 10p for something is not doing the charity justice by doing that.
So...
But, so yeah, they've had a good clean out by here.
We need this to be a bit more shoppable by here, I think.
Not to get, let it get too full.
I have got a car full of stuff at Pontypool, guys.
I am sorry.
But we needed to shift some stuff.
So the idea is it comes here and we take it to the shops anyway.
So...
It will be going in.
I don't think...
What's Big Ben doing by there, Jan?
My car.
What's wrong with him?
Do I just put him back in the box?
Um...
Or the other ones by there, I see.
Right.
So...
Yeah, these just got to be pulled back in now.
It's been nice.
Some people are showing interest in these chairs.
They are lovely.
Really nice.
Sixty we got on the pay.
I can't, we can't deliver.
They've cleaned up the shelves for me.
I can't organise, see.
I struggle now, since I've been ill.
Obviously, like, the lack of oxygen and everything.
Affected my brain and I can't blooming organise as well as other people.
It's their lovely look, these cupboards.
So...
We're back in again.
Quite a few people come in and buy stuff today.
Straight from here, which is fine.
Saves you going up the shop.
That's why we put a few things out here, you know.
You could sell it like a box less for us to transfer, innit?
They've done it nice.
It looks really nice.
Oh, heck.
I think he was shopping.
Do you think he was shopping?
Yeah, I think he was shopping.
He would stop by there to have a look at what we were selling.
Yeah, we might cause a few traffic problems by there.
But there we are.
And he was just stopping traffic.
Right.
So yeah, this is lovely.
So I'll just pull that in tonight now and then I can pull it back out.
The horses are still here.
We've got a few beachy things.
Two shoes out.
I want to get it now so we can have Lego Club.
And then if I've got to bring the barrier down, I'll bring the barrier down to have the sorting tables up there.
And then just have the baskets inside you.
And then that's all boutique items there.
So I'm not sure if they're all individually priced, but we'll have to have a look.
I can't remember if we've done them or not now.
Yeah, if you want to volunteer this evening you can.
I'd probably be here till eight or nine.
I've got some stuff to do.
I've still got China there to do.
Donation fatigue kicking in now.
I might do the ones on my desk.
Because once I research them, they're all going to be about the same price, which is easier then.
The little tray I've got there.
I've got some chairs that need to be wiped down ready for Lego Club.
And the ones we're trying to salvage there.
So yeah, it's been nice.
It's quiet now because all of the other units have shut down.
So it's quiet too now.
So it's nice.
We've got the till over there now where it should be.
We might be keeping the music stack.
I think it's a JVC one and the other one.
I might be keeping them for the shops.
Put a bloody breeze block on the top of it.
So somebody don't steal it.
The wasters.
I love you.
If I catch you stealing I tell you now.
I'll make another example of you.
You're stealing off babies and children.
Yeah, so they are all priced up now.
That's all the stuff we uploaded today.
Thank you.
Because I know it's coming up on the feed.
I am trying to put it in an album.
But I think it's still coming up on my feed.
So thank you for putting up with that.
If China isn't your thing.
But obviously we need to get it out there to get the best price.
And that's what every fundraiser should be doing.
They should be getting the best price in the interest of the charity.
Not selling things for 10p.
So, it's causing a lot of contention in Blackwood, I think.
If this particular charity is selling stuff for 10p, I don't know.
Because other charity shops are reporting they're getting a boost off customers as well.
The volunteers and the staff that work in charity shops shouldn't have to...
