So I'm here today in the donation center, guys.
Volunteers welcome.
You might not get out.
It looks a lot again today, but a lot of it's empty boxes.
So that's good.
We'll have a look at the condition of the boxes and perhaps we can put some more stuff.
But yeah, we ordered well yesterday to condense that down.
So it'll be more.
I've got jigsaws that need checking.
If anybody wants to pick them up and check my jigsaws and then return them once they're checked.
I've got the prem boxes that need colouring that I need picking up.
So can people pick them up?
Now, we didn't reveal a location of where we were previously, because I wanted the landlord and the police and the council and everybody else to be 100% away that until we until we reveal the location they didn't get any random complaints.
Off the haters.
Made up complaints and all the rest of it.
So they're fully aware that we've been here since...
When did we move in?
Was it March?
I think it was March when we moved in.
So March, April.
It might have even been February, you know.
I can't remember.
The end of February was there?
I don't know.
I'm all over the place because the weather's been all over the place.
I don't know where we are.
Anyway, so this is our location.
We're by Sainsbury's in Pontland Frith.
Here we are.
We've got a massive car park.
You have to come in and drop off your donations.
We haven't got our signs up yet.
I was hoping to get the wall painted and the signs up and whatever as well.
But we're building up on stock now, so...
and we need volunteers.
So this is where we are.
Unit E.
We couldn't have got a better location.
I told you this.
We got it specifically for the location.
It's a stone's throw away from my house.
I could walk over but the cats would follow me.
So I've got to go in the car and speed off so they don't follow me.
So yeah, there's plenty.
There's a lovely car sales place but you can come in that way or you can come in the top way.
Just be aware that these are units and they do, you know, especially in the week, they will have vehicles here, like big vehicles.
So if you've got children, children need to be supervised, okay?
We, obviously we've told them as well that we might have people pulling up with children to inform their staff as well.
Okay?
But it's lovely.
Brand new units.
I was dreaming about this place over here, right?
I was like, oh, we're gonna be over there.
We're gonna be over there.
I was like, oh, there's no way I'm gonna be over there.
And it happened.
It actually turned up and I was like, oh, I've won that one.
Now, I wanted the one on the end, but it's gone, but I won't reveal who it's gone to.
But that's, that's gonna be useful to us as well.
I don't think there's anybody in D yet, because we were contemplating two as I told you, but we need to, you know, be sensible about what we can afford and, you know, we need to try and make it work.
So, you, as long as you've got business, because this is a private, private, you know, a private car path, as long as you've got business here with us, you can come here.
Okay?
So, that's brilliant.
It's lovely and it's so light, you know, look at it this morning.
It was like, I don't know what time you put the heating on last night, the heating, the lighting on last night.
Um, those jigsaws have been checked.
Well, I need to get a bit of a watch it across there, or just keep this shut and use the roller shutter as the entrance pass for now, until I get my tape to go across there.
So yeah, so customers, you know, dropper offers, queue, and that's it.
Unless it's a private event like Lego Club, and then hopefully all of this stock will be gone by then.
I think what we might have to do is when we get stock in, pull it up there until we sort it.
Because it just takes over the place, don't know, that's the trouble.
And then we can keep this place, this bit, relatively donation-free and just pull out a box at a time or something like that, can't we?
So yeah, we're here today.
Oh, it's lovely today in the winter.
We might need to get like a set up, a bit like Tots have got over there, the Play Tots Centre.
Jelly Tots, I think it's called.
They got doors up, keep the heating in the winter, but in the summer it's lovely.
Absolutely lovely here.
So if I can ask you to bring your donations here, rather than the shops, we would really appreciate that because it takes the pressure off the shops.
And the staff can concentrate on the shops.
We're very grateful for all your donations, but they can concentrate then on the shops more.
And don't have to worry about all the donations coming in.
If you can't get to the donation centre, just drop it off at the shops and you can always drop it to my house anyway, you know that, whatever's easiest for you.
Oh, yeah, so I'm gonna have breakfast.
I think I'm gonna put the bouncers out the front because they're gonna be coming to the car book, because we need to get them gone tomorrow.
We're gonna do a fundraising one.
And Jude and Sammy are gonna be over Cwmbran and they're gonna be doing stock toys mainly, because they're overrun with toys over there.
So yeah, if anybody wants to do us a boot sale tomorrow, just stock.
We got tons.
So if you want to come down and get stock, I've got lots of the two pound clothes I've got to go.
And I got lots of the children's 50p clothes I've got to go.
The two pound clothes, where I'd want them taken from, if possible, is Blackwood out to the travel courts and the buckets in the children's room.
So give me a shout if you want to do a car book for us tomorrow.
We've been authorized in Sully.
Well, we can go anyway and do stock, but if you want to put a sign up in a collection bucket as well, we've been authorized in Sully, Gelligaer, all in Morrison so far.
I don't know about Cwmbran.
The girls are gonna ask in Cwmbran and show her the pictures.
And I need to message him really.
There was a school one as well, but that one's not on tomorrow now.
John Frost Parents Association, I think it was.
That's not on.
I'm still waiting on Pen y Fan.
Come on Pen y Fan, give me a shout.
Come on, I used to raise money there for the rabbits.
Come on.
So yeah, this is where we are guys.
To be honest, if the roller shutters not up, we're probably not in.
We haven't got set days down the others yet.
I need staff to open it up really.
But what I don't want is staff that's gonna meddle and mix up my donations and not do it right.
It's got to be done to our set plan.
Right, so I'd rather my shop staff stay in the shops because they're good at their jobs, right?
I have got an agent I'm gonna ring to see if she can come in and do it.
But if you're gonna come and volunteer here, you need to be literally following the plan because we don't want it to get compacted and not even know where we go down like it was down Big Risca.
We want to know where everything is and be able to track the stock.
So it's got to be run like a wait out here, okay?
So if you fancy working, you know, if you're chatty and you enjoy engaging with the customers, I'd go there.
But I need people here who can organize, not people who are gonna meddle.
And they need to be able to put the roller shutter up and down as well if you're here.
Okay, that's gonna be what it... because you know, we need people who can open up and lock up and things like that.
So if you can't put the roller shutter up, it's no good you come in.
Right?
So yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
We had... somebody bought some stuff yesterday off a shirt.
First customer.
Little pink... it was the pink car it was.
I knew that'd go.
Fantastic.
She said she had charging.
Yeah, so that's brilliant, innit?
Yeah.
If somebody wants to come in and start researching my records for me, they can.
They need to be priced up then the way that I... oh, I haven't got the stickers.
No, I can't do the records today.
I forgot to bring the stickers.
And it's got to be done the way the way that I like it.
So I can't do that.
You can do the DVDs and the VHSs if anybody wants to do that.
What else have we got?
We've got quite a few things to sort out.
So yeah.
I'll probably be here most of the day.
So see you in a bit, guys.
