Oh, there was a little dog running round by the police station in Risca, guys.
I tried to grab him but he ran off through like the fence and it looked like a terrier.
I did try and catch him, some other ladies seen him as well, by the shop.
So anyway, I wanted to come down to show you, because I won't get any other time to do it, to show you Jan has now, we've priced up, cubed up, sorted, down here.
So, we've had some lovely clothes off the house clearing shop.
Lovely items there, these are the twenties.
Lovely, look at that.
This is our two pound rail.
So everything on here would be two pound.
What's that one?
Oh, that's nice, one sheen.
That's just a shirt, that one is still a bit too full.
We did say not to overfill it, but then we had a pile of clothes in that we wanted to get out.
So we had some nice items again.
Nice top, that's a nice, that's a decent top that one, isn't it?
Autonomy.
We've got all that love knitwear, I don't know who that is.
We've got a couple of love knitwears in.
And some lovely clothes, lovely buttons and things on them.
Some nice smart jackets.
I like that one, that's nice.
Soon, I don't know who they are.
That looks new, doesn't it?
Oh, that's lovely, it's like a dress.
Nice.
I've seen this top before, I'm sure I donated it.
But yeah, look, they're lovely.
Lovely finishes on some of the clothes.
I've got one that's come off, let me just move him.
Just sort him out.
Oh, that's a nice one, with the nice sleeves too.
There we are, lovely, isn't it?
Lovely jumpers.
Because I'm always rushing, see, oh, we're on a live and something else is going down, isn't it?
You know, we're so busy.
This is the only time I've had free to do anything, that's nice, isn't it?
Look at that, it's brand new.
You can feel that, it's never been washed.
Nice trousers.
Lovely, lovely work on there, look.
So yeah, Jan spent two days last week going through these, making sure we had all the cubes.
We pinched them off Pontypool.
Sorry.
Pinched them off Pontypool.
Because once this shop, because it's so small, once this shop have got their size cubes, then there's no other, they don't need anything else.
Oh, that's nice, it looks like a tie one.
They won't need any more then, because they've got sort of 20 of everything.
So...
They'll only put out what they've got room for then.
And like we said, we need room on the rails.
So they'll look lovely jackets.
I bet that was expensive.
I don't know what they retail for now.
They're a little bit out of fashion at the moment, so that's why they're on the £2 rail.
Sun's out.
Bumps out.
We were looking for maternity staff for me, Jan.
We were going to do a maternity rail in one of the shops, so we knew where to go.
Sun's out, bumps out.
Nice dart mat, doing nice jumpers on, don't they?
No, do I want to start looking at the dart mat?
That's nice.
Lovely.
Generous, some of these 14s.
Because usually they're not, if they were 14s.
But we've got some nice plus sizes in.
As well.
We get a lot of... I was telling Jan, we did a pop-up plus size...
pop-up shop ones.
And I did it overnight, because the lady who gave me clothes was like 22 and up, and they went up to 30 and 32.
So rather than empty the car...
we went to Sprott, and instead of doing our normal thing...
we did, that's a vintage Marks and Spots.
We did a pop-up plus size.
And we took £75 in the first hour.
Because we, you know, they were all £2.
And people loved it.
And I think since then we've had a lot of plus size clothes donated.
Because they know that we...
We do them all the same price.
We don't sort of say, oh well that's a size 30, put a 10 on it.
Somebody will be desperate for it.
Because they tend to put the price up, don't they, on bigger clothes.
That's a pretty little thing in there.
What would that be in New Look if you had to buy that now?
Little pretty thing like that.
So yeah, my battery's going now.
But they've got all the naught to threes.
Little shoes they'll have.
We know it's not like Risca used to be.
So it will take some getting used to.
Because we are, everybody's used to buying in bulk in Risca.
Erm...
And she did all this side, we were a few angles short.
I've got them in the car.
I've stolen them back, Jan.
So yeah.
The reindeer one there, I think.
Don't forget our... I keep forgetting our raffle.
It's nice.
Isn't it?
50p.
Nice little shirt for boys.
Jan's always organized, she always gets them up.
Boys, girls.
She always gets them up nice and tidy, fair play.
Yeah, so this bit we were working on and I took the hangers back.
I hope somebody gets that little dog now.
A bit of our...
posture items in there.
All these cupboards we had for free.
Remember, we had loads of people give them to us.
Kitted out this shop, kitted out Brimo.
Didn't we?
I know, and Pontypool, all kitted out.
All of them.
Blackwood.
We've been very lucky, we're very grateful.
And it looks nicer in the dressers, I think.
See, we've got a few wrinkly balloons, but we can just pop them or snip them off.
And that's good, because that's been up...
three weeks if the person who had it, had it for a week before us.
So the ball pit balls are starting to sell as well.
So that's good, we've sold a couple of them today.
Because they form a giant ball pit there.
I like the Lion King top.
So Jan took home the frilly bits off the moses basket.
That's a wash, it's come up lovely look.
Yeah, so if any of our volunteers want to do washing, it's not a problem.
Keep your receipt and we can...
we can pay for your washing powder.
Oh, he went then.
But it just... I haven't got the time.
I've got lines, I've got lines to do it, but I haven't got the time now.
We're so busy.
Perhaps I'll drive around the block now, see if I can see that little dog.
What's that?
That's nice, we've got two the same, haven't we?
Well somebody must have liked that jumper.
They had it in a 12 and a 14.
Where's that from?
Oh, I don't say.
Nice one, aren't they?
Oh, there we are, guys.
Oh, I've done it now, because I wanted to do it on the day, but I had to run off and do something else.
I can't remember what I had to do.
But we have to do something.
Right.
There we are now.
