I'm finished tidying it.
I'll do that after.
I can't be bothered now.
So I thought I'd get some raffle prizes ready because January is already looking miserable from this end of the year.
So I thought we'll do a pound a strip because people seem to like that rather than a two pound raffle.
I'd rather write on one little ticket because I think you're wasting a ticket when you do a strip.
But anyway there we are.
We'll do a pound a strip.
So the first one is like a toiletry hamper.
Quite a bit in there.
Must be at least ten items I think or more.
That's the first prize.
The second prize is Winnie and some biscuits.
And then the booby prize is a little hamper from our food bank.
So there'll be three draws.
So we're trying to do a raffle every month in every shop.
Just to brighten up our day.
Something different innit?
And we'll also do the raffles online.
Kay's gonna take over the raffles and the lottery.
Bonus ball I think.
I don't know.
See Kay, she's gonna do that for us in the new year.
We won't stress right now.
Just before Christmas.
And then all the money will go into fruit banks and nappies.
To be honest, the running costs usually get covered by the running of the shops.
So whatever we've sold in the shops will usually go into the running costs for that.
So we could probably say the raffles in shop all goes to nappies and fruit banks.
So yeah, I thought I'd do three.
These were Poundies kits in Poundland.
But I'm wondering if they'd be reduced after Christmas.
We should grab a couple couldn't we?
Or if you get any cellophane now over Christmas.
A hamper stuff bringing in for us please.
Hannah you had a pile of baskets to do hampers off Viv.
Let me know if you still got them please.
Yeah, so this is just for this shop this is.
So we'll draw it the end of January now.
Something to look forward to isn't it?
End of January money will be tight as well.
So it's nice to have something you can use.
Teddy is nice.
But it's nice to have something you can use in the house as well.
I did see some nice cleaning products over there.
Because I was like I'll have one of them.
I have a fabuloso.
I love a fabuloso.
Perhaps we'll do like a cleaning hamper next.
We'll try and do at least one raffle prize every shop now.
So we'll have one in Blackwood.
Brynmawr and all the rest of it.
Any food needs to be in date obviously.
If you ever get anything from us that's out of date and we haven't noticed just let us know and we replace it anyway.
Food bank or whatever.
Yeah so yeah I gotta go back to tidying the shop now.
But that took me half hour of my life to make them up.
But there we are.
Better than worrying about anything else.
So yeah I've had a good day again.
I've done quite a bit.
Sorted quite a bit.
They don't look like it.
But I have moved quite a bit of furniture and what have you.
I'm gonna try and go through the night now and tidy up.
I've emptied half of one of the five trolleys of stuff.
Don't forget like how DVDs are a pound.
Now a lot of people are like you can get 10 for a pound on the other shop.
Yeah but we're asking you to pay a pound or three pound fifty for a CD or five pound for a CD or three pound fifty for a book.
Because we're pushing up the baseline and that money goes specifically towards nappies.
The media money goes specifically to nappies.
So if you spend 12 quid on media, CDs, nappies, a book.
Something like that.
That 12 pound will be put into nappies and you will help roughly about three families that week with nappies.
We buy them additional to what we buy in the shop.
We usually probably spend about a hundred pound a month per shop on nappies.
It's very good.
People are very good.
They only ask for nappies when they need them.
We do have one or two of this greedy and we'll pick them up every time.
But the majority of mothers won't ask unless they need them.
But I think last month, I don't know why, I got 17 in my head.
Did we buy 17 extra packs last month from sales in Blackwood shop?
I got that in my head.
I might have got the figures wrong but it was something like, say it was about 17 packs of extra nappies on top of what we would have bought that helps 17 more families.
It's just something that we do.
We do this with our books.
I used to see these records, tapes and DVDs.
Our media.
That's all.
Because it was one of those things that was just lying around in the shop and we were like, well how can we turn this around and do something positive with it?
Because there's a lot of record collectors out there.
There's a lot of book readers out there.
There's a lot of DVD collectors out of there.
You know.
So it's nice to turn it around because the average VARs collector will come into a shop and pay, you know, a decent price for a VARs in a charity shop if they collect them or a bowl.
But then how can we include the media community and the DVDs and the records?
That's how we thought about it.
Some people bought some CDs from me the other day but we're going to get more now because we brought the CD racks up here and we're going to put a record.
The record table that Roy made.
We got extra legs for him in the van.
But what we did was we thought, well we use that dress because that's a chunky dress.
It'll take a lot of weight.
So what we'll do is put them on there and the money from the records goes towards Macbeads because Pontypool have a record shop themselves and they have a record fair and so do Blackwood.
So records is always a nice little seller for people.
So if we've got any records you don't want anymore, we'll gladly take them off here.
I want to get the rest of the furniture in place now tonight and then I think the bric-a-brac that's hanging around in boxes will fall into place then.
You can get that sorted out then.
I don't like that shelf by the door but I've got nowhere else to put it as of yet.
I'm going to sell that fridge by there I think because it's, I think it's still too big to go over Brynmawr.
Have a look at the fridge here and if it's too big for you over Brynmawr we'll give you a smaller one.
I think it's going to take up a lot of room in your back room.
Let me know because we can always bring it over to Brynmawr.
I don't know if it's a freezer box in there.
It would be better if there was a freezer box in there as well because you could have a couple of micro meals in there then.
I don't know.
Let me know anyway with that one.
Yeah, so I've got every box just moved behind there now but I'll do them now.
I'll get them done.
Get them done now.
Now we've done my raffle prizes.
My booby prize.
Not bad prizes.
It's alright.
Not bad at all.
So yes, if you've got any toiletries you want to donate that's unused or any gift sets or anything like that we can do for raffling or any bottles, alcohol bottles.
That would be great.
Thank you very much guys.
