Oh, I've tried to do a couple of lives.
I just keep getting knocked off.
It's like living in a steel box in Pontypool.
I'm in Pontypool.
Blackwood is open.
Little Risca isn't open.
We need a manager to run Little Risca now, please.
Hannah hasn't been very well and obviously we need someone to take her place for the time being.
No doubt she will be back.
I'm sure she will, but I think she'll probably come back on reduced days.
Brynmawrr is open.
Off you pop.
Pop up and see Sarah.
It's looking fab.
They've done really well up there.
Thank you to Sarah and Dave.
So I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all our volunteers because we got out that garage.
We got out that Abba Bargag unit and we did it as a team.
All of us.
We all mixed in together.
We all did it as a team.
A massive thank you to Paul and Roy who did all their work so that the landlords can't put extra value on the rent price, which they probably will anyway, but they won't be able to now, for the next tenants moving in, exploiting us as a charity pending and a community group that helps vulnerable people to do the work for them and then to put pressure on us to leave and expect to have lovely gates and a lovely landing and lovely patio doors and now they haven't got them.
So lovely brand new kitchen off Houdins.
You know, they're not having them yet.
They're ours.
It won't happen again because next time a landlord annoys me, I think I'll just say, right, there's the keys.
Let's grab the nappies and go and we just leave it all here for you to deal with.
And you can deal with it all because we can get all this again for free.
Every single thing you see here we've had for free.
There's very little I've actually paid for in this shop.
All my units, you know, we're very big on preventing landfill.
So a lot of our stuff that we source, even our shop fittings, come free from people who don't want them anymore.
So I'll just leave the key in the door and go.
Take my nappies and go next time.
I'm not moving stuff again.
So that's just a warning now to anybody else who thinks they're going to have their little shops done up for free to pass the health and safety.
I think they can just be horrible to us and we'll just go.
It's not going to work.
But yeah, thank you to my volunteers.
We did it and we did it as a team.
We're a good team.
There's nobody that's got a team of volunteers like mine.
Nobody.
We have the best volunteers.
I don't care what anybody says.
We're a proper team, a proper family of volunteers.
So thank you very much to everybody for that.
If any of my team want to come over and help me clean up Pontypool, you can.
No, I'll have a go now today.
Last night I went home and I had early nights, bath, early nights, washed my hair and then I had a lay in this morning.
Sarah's opened her shop in Brynmawr.
Like I said, Blackwood's open, Pontypool's open.
We need a manager for Little Risca.
So I'm back over here now to sort out Curtis because I don't want to leave him in a mess like this.
I've got some more hangers in the box for there.
Ready to hang the baby clothes.
And I've got some side scoops for the hangers as well.
So we'll crack on with that.
And we've got Santa on Saturday then to come round quick, haven't we?
So I'll probably... It's Friday.
I think Curtis is in tomorrow.
So I'll probably be at Blackwood tomorrow.
Hopefully the grotto stuff will come.
Me and Lisa ordered some grotto stuff last night.
So we can get that set up.
Or at least the backdrop for Santa.
It's all free.
If you're from Pontypool, we did Blackwood because we knew it was central with the buses.
I would have liked to have done it in every shop but I just don't know if we could have handled it.
Because this is the time of year where we don't lose our volunteers but they all do stuff for their families or their grandchildren and things or their children.
So we're low on the ground on volunteers this time of year.
It would be nice to do Santa in every shop next year.
So every child that, you know, parents spends money in the shop can access it.
But I don't know if we can feasibly do it.
