Meaning to do this for ages.
So I think I've signed us up for this TerraCycle now.
I'm not sure.
I'll have to ask Sara because Sara is the the expert on this.
So you donate your rubbish to us and we can recycle it in then.
Zero waste box.
What?
Oh, I can't get it up now.
Right, let's have a look.
Right, so you can have these boxes.
I think.
I don't know if I got to pay for them though to come in the shop.
I don't know.
But you fill up these boxes with the specified waste.
Right, so you've got smack packaging.
What's this?
Plastic waste.
And it all in one zero waste box.
Yeah, okay.
I'd probably have to sort that then, wouldn't I?
We'll have to see.
I don't know if I got to pay for the boxes to go in the shop.
It's a bit steep, isn't it?
I make my own.
Anyway, I'm not sure.
I think I've signed us up now.
Have a look because you know what I'm like.
Modern technology on my strongest point.
What's that?
No.
Disposable gloves.
Oh my god.
Tell every carer in the country.
Because I don't know what we get.
Or do we get £97.30 per big box of disposable gloves.
Of carers.
Oh my god, I love one of them in every hospital.
Is that what it says?
We get £97.30.
Might be.
Sara is the expert on this.
So I'll have to ask.
What's this?
Contact lens packaging.
Booty packaging.
Crisp packets.
I'll have one of them next to my mother's chair because she lives on Crisp.
All right, okay.
So even from empty... I'd love to recycle medicines.
But I think if I had a drop-off box in the shop, I'd have to have some sort of pharmacy license to carry them.
I'd have to check with trading standards and I'm up to my neck at the moment anyway.
But at least we could do empty packages, couldn't we?
And we get £64.40 per box.
Is that right?
I don't know.
Pet food packaging £63.00.
Media.
Story.
Oh that'd be good because sometimes we get records in, right, which are no good.
And sometimes we get pirate DVDs.
And I have given pirate DVDs out to a lady I know was doing crafts with them.
But I can't always be certain.
But I know this lady was because she showed me pictures and stuff.
But yeah, that one might be good for us.
So if somebody returns a DVD to us and say, oh this one's playing up, we can sling it in there, couldn't we?
A box for everything.
Oral care.
Disposable gloves.
Oh my gosh, I need one of them everywhere.
Yeah, booty products.
Right, we'll have to get that then.
We have a box somewhere.
I have one in the house.
I have one in the office.
So that is it.
Was it healthcare?
Oh yeah, yeah, easy.
Easy, isn't it?
Yeah, healthcare solutions.
Right, how it works.
So you can have a look at this.
Make sure you can see.
I've signed up now.
It might be that it takes a couple of days to go through.
The sale you've been waiting for.
I don't know, do I have to buy the box?
Or is that how much box I get?
What's this?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Somebody else have a play around with the website for me because you know, you know how busy we are.
And I'm gonna have one in McDonald's for hair nets.
Because they wear hair nets and beer nets.
Oh, I don't know.
God, there's so much in there that they recycle.
I don't think I would have time to have it all checked in one box and have to sort it.
It wouldn't bother me.
I enjoy doing it.
It wouldn't bother me recycling it.
But have I got it, you know, sorting it.
Because I enjoy doing it and I enjoy recycling.
Part of my OCD is that I recycle everything, you know.
What's that?
Gnome?
I can't stand gnomes.
They're bad luck, right?
Bad luck gnomes are.
If we get them in, I just make them send them out.
I make them take them over the road, right?
We could have a gnome recycling boxes at the shop.
They're bad luck.
Holiday decorations.
So like bits of tinsel and baubles you're not gonna use anymore.
Well, I didn't know they did as much as this.
Lateral flow tests.
That's a bit of a risk mind you know.
Look at that.
Look, look, look.
Inhaler pumps.
That's good.
Because you know me.
I love recycling.
I literally have a box ready.
I need a shop now to go in to recycle all your waste.
Pet tip boxes.
Oh, that would be for a thing.
Oh, look at the pet products.
That'd be good for Debbie.
Any pet products.
Because we were on about that the other day.
What do you do stuff that somebody's donated that's a bit, you know, eaten or slept on a bit too much.
Yeah, I wonder if they could do it for that.
Plastic bottle caps.
Plastic bags.
Oh gosh, there's so much in here.
God, I could literally do with a shop with just all these boxes in.
Protective eyewear.
Plastic shoes.
Plastic have stuff everywhere, you know.
Look at that.
Disinfectant wipes.
Well, surely you can't just stick them in.
I don't know if you've used them.
I don't know.
I don't know how that works.
Anyway, you are all recycling legends.
I'm sure we will figure out vitamin bottles.
Figure out what we're going to do here.
What's in wine corks?
Oh, have we got any wine drinkers out there?
Hello Reggie.
Hello, come in to see me.
Oh, very good.
Yeah, very good.
I didn't realize they did all of this.
I thought it was just like shrink wrap and things like that.
But that's good, isn't it?
Especially with the medicines because I've wanted to recycle the medicines for a very, very long time.
But I know when everybody was shipping stuff to the Ukraine, you couldn't take paracetamol and Calpol because you had to have a drug license or a pharmacy license or something.
You couldn't ship it over a certain license.
So if I was to say I'm having a drug amnesty and everybody to drop off their drugs like in the store into one of these boxes, I'd need to have a license to hold it, I think, in the store.
And I'd have to check because even if I returned it to the pharmacy, would they send it back out or would they still destroy it?
Or like if we did an amnesty and said, can everybody return your unwanted medicines to the pharmacy, would they still destroy them?
You know, because it's just that affects a carbon footprint as well.
We're even recycling a product, turning something from hard plastic into something else.
Or when they make recycled toilet paper and all the rest of recycled writing paper, there's still a carbon footprint attached to recycling, see.
So I wouldn't want to do an amnesty and then boost the carbon footprint by having everybody deliver their tablets and then they got to be disposed of.
But that's perhaps we can have a look at out because we're usually quiet now running over December, January.
Perhaps it's something we can look into, because perhaps we could just recycle the packaging for now.
But then we stuck all these drugs we've had to push out and flush in me.
So I don't, you know, your cat's 22 and we're recycling.
But yeah, have a little look guys and see what you think.
I'll see what you can the site as well.
Like I said, logo back into what we do nappies, a food bank and more of it.
So we had an excellent week again this week.
Brilliant.
We're going to do 50% off now for Black Friday.
And we're taking over onto the Saturday as well.
So thank you for that, guys.
Have a look at this website for me then and let me know what you think and see if you can find us.
