So we've had quite a few donations in today.
So we go through... this is how we go through our donations in our shop, charity pending shop.
So we have a bag full of donations in and the owners, ourselves, you know, the trustees or the managers of the shop, they open up the donation bags, they go through them.
They then check, they ring-fenced stuff for the boutique, check that everything is safe and not broken or smashed and could injure somebody.
Pat testing gets put to one side.
Any precious metals will be put to one side and decided whether it would be sold as a whole or whether it was going to scrap 9 out of 10 times.
Sometimes I'd rather sell them as whole because there's still a carbon footprint attached to recycling.
Even though it's... well sometimes it's a higher carbon footprint.
So I'd rather let the item go as it is and it be recycled.
To see like maybe we would ring-fenced.
I've only got one ball so sometimes is it worth ring-fencing it for my knitters.
Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't.
The majority of the wool will go to the knitters.
No more hats guys, we've got hundreds of baby hats now.
I need 5 to 10 years hats or scarves please or gloves or bigger mittens you know so they'll fit like a 10 year old or 5 to 10 year old.
Nothing in small sizes please guys, we've got tons.
We go through it, you know, make sure there's no cracks on it so that anybody won't get injured.
And then we put a value on it or check like candles, like the candles in there.
They are battery ones but if they didn't have instructions on their candles we wouldn't be able to sell it.
