So ive just been dusting now my way around Pontypool shop and ive just found these little booties.
So this is an art deco vase.
So probably anything from 25 to 50.
This is an Italian bubble vase.
Now the price is a bit ambiguous.
The highest selling price on something like this.
I like telling you because you know I know my stuff when it comes to antiques.
Because I used to go around a lot of antique shops when I was a kid.
And you know surrounded by them really.
So that's that's how I know.
I can look at it by eye and say I know that's worth more than that.
Like that's a pretty jar but it's a mass produced one.
You know whereas these are not.
These are old.
This one is why I don't have a chance check this one.
So I don't know what this would be worth.
I picked this up as well.
I thought this looks like it could be worth something.
But I think now it just might be a tourist mug.
But at the back of it when I looked at it I thought oh that might be it.
But that one might have tricked me a bit.
This is why I love it when these antique dealers are coming to shop and they're like oh that's only worth 50p.
And I'm like get out of here.
Know exactly what you're up to.
So this is this is probably worth quite a bit.
Try and see if I can get some good prices.
This I'm a little bit taken aback by.
My mother used to have a brown one like this.
A really tall one with a decanter.
Now the one I looked at hasn't got a decanter.
Hasn't got a stopper in the decanter.
So you know.
And this I can't.
I know this but I can't place what it is.
But I know that's an Italian bubble vase.
So I'll try and know how to try.
I did put these things on and I think I'll try and remember.
Let you know what it's sold for.
But we've got so much store.
We could do.
We could literally do with an antique shop now.
That's what we could do with.
To put all the antiquities in.
You know because it's a different type of customer isn't it.
A different type of customer is going to come around.
Because somebody who needs a jug is not going to pay 25 pound for that jug are they.
But a collector will.
Someone who likes stuff from that period will won't they.
All right I'm going about the mug.
I think it's an older souvenir mug.
From Ireland.
It's a very nice colour isn't it.
I didn't really see the front.
I've seen the back.
And I thought oh that's an unusual design.
And then I was like oh I don't know it looks a bit old.
And then a little bit sort of crooky.
So that's the use.
That's usually a good sign.
If you're looking for antiques.
If something looks a bit crooky.
Then it is probably worth a bit more.
Because you're bound to have things like this in your house as well.
Worth having a look in there.
