So, don't forget guys, alright, if you haven't got any safety labels in your fancy dress, children's sleepwear, or baby clothes, you cannot give them out.
You can't give them out and you can't sell them.
They have to be destroyed, which means you have to put a scissors through them.
So, if anybody is using any fancy dress items without warning labels, we would advise you to dispose them.
But we've had a check this week, so we're just reminding people.
Because I know lots of different organisations, food banks and what have you, will stick up a rail of fancy dress if they've been donated, you know, for free or donation.
But they cannot go out unless they've got fire warning labels on them, and that includes the accessories.
Now, most of them have.
Now, it's very difficult, right, because some people have to cut them out because they bother children, don't they?
You know, I know the same, you can get tags, I usually rip them out.
But yeah, in future, if mothers cannot rip them out, I know sometimes you have to because we have a lot of neurodiverse children that can't have tags in their clothes.
But if you cannot take any tags out, because those clothes have to go straight to landfill.
They can't be sent, well, I wouldn't send them abroad because if they're not safe in this country, they shouldn't be going abroad, really.
And nobody should be doing that, through their own due diligence, you know.
So if you can't, if you haven't got one in there, I'd have to put a scissors through that.
I've had to do about ten this week, put a scissors through them, and then they've gone to landfill.
So just to remind everybody not to cut tags out, where possible.
I know some of you have got to, and any other organisations as well.
It's only what we've learnt as we've gone along.
Children's sleepwear, dressing gowns, nightwear, onesies, have to have the fire label in them.
Children's baby clothes, and fancy dress.
So be careful if you've got a raid and you've put out things like home-made fancy dress items, because they wouldn't have fire labels in them as well.
