So, hi guys.
We are having a couple of people taking stickers off things in the shops, right?
So, in retail they put these whiskers on, and then they know if the sticker has been moved, etc.
So, while stickers do fall off, you know, some are definitely being taken off.
And I know, because I put the stickers on them myself, because I often stay here at Price End in the evening.
So I know when I've put a sticker on and how good I've put it on.
So, if an item comes through the till now, and the sticker has been taken off, and we don't feel it's falling off, or it's not on the floor, or something like that.
Then we're going to refuse to sell the item and put it back through the system, like some of the other charity shops do.
So that means it'll go back into a storage box, and then it'll be pulled out again at a later date where we can reassess it and reprice it.
It's the only way I can think of combating these stickers, price stickers we're putting on, going missing.
A lot of the other charity shops do it.
We'll get a little sign put up as well, that if any labels have been taken off.
Or if the stickers have been moved, because if you move that now, you can see if the sticker has been pulled off, or if it was pre-marked.
So that's why retail shops do that, places like B&M, B&Q, I can't think of who else, Tesco's do it, especially on their clearance stickers they do it.
So, you know, we're cheap enough as it is, you don't need to be taking stickers off.
And while we do appreciate they do fall off, we do try and make sure they're on.
And sometimes the guys even sell a tape amount to make sure they're on, not to create any inconvenience to people.
So we'll be following Soup Lake, Barnardo's and St. David's and all the rest of them.
