Right, so I've got to try and go live a bit more because we are more off going live the more we get for just a video I think.
I think that's how it works.
I haven't really sat down and read it if I'm honest.
So yeah, we've had a bit of a sort out now.
I'm going to use those sterilizing tablets but they're quite old to soak my mop in.
I like sterilizing tablets for cleaning.
They're good, aren't they?
So we've got a few glasses left in risko.
We've had a few coloring books in and we've got the single pages.
A few that's already had coloring bits in for mental health and anxiety.
So I've put them in there ready.
A little bit low on sanitary pads if anybody wants to donate any.
The food is going down.
We are getting tins in.
I don't think I put a post about it but we are getting tins in in Dribbs and Drabbs so don't forget now bring your tins you don't want and all the bits and bobs down here or any of the other shops ready for when we do get the room ready for our food bank.
Trading standard said yes to vitamin D drops as long as they're sealed and in there.
Nappies.
We've got a few over there as well.
They go steady out of risko.
I know Pontypool they fly out don't they?
And I think the same Vabba Bargood as well they fly out.
It's steady in risko.
It's nice in risko.
So we've still got these.
So just remember now if you're one of our regular customers, one of our regular donators, they're free.
They're only about £2 or anything.
We were asking a pound donation because we had a lot of people diving in and wanting to buy 10 packs and this and that.
And we were like are they actually going where they needed?
But I think people can see what we're doing now and I think they're respecting us more for doing the nappies.
So we've taken the charge off so that it slowed down the... well I don't think they were selling on the nappies.
We did have a case where somebody was selling on nappies because somebody told us.
But you know people are not taking advantage of the system.
And that's what it's all about.
A pack of nappies to a family, it saves them a fair amount of money.
£3 to £5.
So nappies, if you've got any nappies, open packs, bring them in.
We're low on incontinence pads.
We'll have to get on to the incontinence service.
You know anybody on any size pad, drop them off because you'll be surprised how many mums and grandmothers and gentlemen need the pads and don't meet the full criteria.
And you'll be surprised how many of these pads are stocked up in people's houses.
So if you know anybody, get them down.
We can't collect at the moment.
We're crazy, crazy busy.
So I've had a look at the breast pads as well.
Unless they're like a brand new box.
You know there's an expensive box or these ones.
We put them in for free as well.
So a necessity.
We're trying to work on the basis that stuff that you need.
You know like the sunglasses.
We try and give away for free the best we can.
I'm open.
I've got the raffles up guys for tin on the wall as well.
We got four bottles of EU vodka.
The bubble gum.
Not the bubble gum, the colour change one.
So the raffle is for one bottle and we do the lemonade to go with it to change the colour and lemons if you want lemons to go with it.
And then we got the other one up for the Winnie the Pooh.
The Winnie the Pooh is lovely.
He's brand new and he's a proper Winnie the Pooh.
He's lovely and heavy.
And that will all go into our food bank to buy.
I think I worked it out.
Did I have 300?
I think it works out.
If everybody buys a raffle it will be £900.
So if everybody buys a raffle ticket for the... not everybody but if the raffles go forward it will be £900 we get for Winnie the Pooh and for one of the EU vodkas.
But we will spend that in the supermarket on tins to give out to food banks.
What we're doing with the tins at the moment because we can do food bank referrals you see.
So sometimes a family needs a food bank referral but sometimes they don't.
Sometimes they might only need a top up.
So they might come in and say well I'll take the... I know I got mints in the freezer so I'll take the spaghetti and I'll take the tomatoes and then I can make spaghetti bolognese this week.
So that's what we're hoping to do with our tin food bank is that mums can come in, families can come in and say oh well I only need four or five items this week or I need to carry a bag full of this or I only need a bag of pasta.
And we can, you know, to make food for the children so it's nice and easy isn't it?
And then we'll buy baby food as well out of the money for the raffles.
And obviously we'll have the receipts, we've put all the receipts so you know that.
You're welcome to go and help my mother with the books if you want.
I'm sure she'll appreciate somebody coming in and helping her tally it all up.
Toiletry Amnesty.
I was going to contact the Toiletry Amnesty company but I'm like do we need to contact them?
Because we've had loads of stuff in already, toiletries, and we've only said it verbally.
So I think we will do a massive Toiletry Amnesty program now and see what we can get in.
So if you, nothing that's too old, nothing that's 12 months out of date I would say, right?
But if you've got like, say you've used a shower gel, you've used it twice, you don't like it, bring it in.
Somebody else will use it wouldn't they?
I think somebody used that once, didn't like it, got rid of it.
I don't like these face masks, you know the ones that sit on your face?
They're sheet ones, I don't like them, bring them in.
Somebody will have them, wouldn't they?
Another mother will have them, you know, what's that, a bit of soap?
It saves that mum having to go to the supermarket that week or it saves, you know, saves them doing that.
Little bits of makeup, I mean what are the nail varnishes now in Avon?
How much are they now guys?
You know, or like a hand wash, saves people money, doesn't it?
So if you're not using it, send it down.
I don't mind lightly swatched makeup.
I might put the makeup in a separate bag because it's a separate little box because sometimes that can get a bit damaged can't it?
Where's that palette?
There's a palette in here, oh see that's opened now, I don't want to do that.
Right, but that's lightly swatched there, okay?
So somebody might be able to use that.
Somebody who's in a refuge, I'm going to make up.
Someone who hasn't got anything, can't afford.
I mean it's just, prices are just stupid at the moment and I don't know what they're going to do.
This one looks a bit old to me.
I think there's a thing online where I can Google them anyway and check how old they are.
But look, that's a bit dodgy isn't it?
Yeah, so I think bin that one, really.
But the other thing is, see the good thing about doing the toiletry amnesty is the packaging will get recycled.
Because you guys will put it in your recycling bin.
So not only is the product being used, you're helping out another mother somewhere.
All this is free.
But I will recycle that packaging now, so we know it's not going to landfill.
A little soap I think that is, a nailer.
I think what we'll do is put the make up in a separate one because make up can get a bit bashed around, can't it?
So I've fished all the make up out at some stage here.
All like little devices like this being used once.
Fish it all out.
Try and check the...
Yeah, anything.
Yeah, because you're helping out.
You know, I got eye shadows I don't use.
You know, like little samples.
If you've got any sample package you know you use, then you are.
What's that one?
SPF that is.
Oh, it's a day cream is there?
I think.
I'm not sure.
But it helps out like that little soap.
That's lovely there.
It's a posh one that is too.
I don't know, I think it's about ten quid.
I don't know what that soap is.
But it's in the little dish.
It's a nice soap.
Smells lovely.
You can smell it.
It's like the packaging.
Oh, you are.
Look, this one's lightly swatched.
They've tried the green and didn't like it.
Maybe the purple I think.
The other one has been chipped.
I've been chucking it around in the box.
We don't make a lot of money, see, off the toiletries because most toiletries, 50p if we're lucky, maybe a pound, two pounds.
Some of the gift sets we keep...
Oh, I'm messing up.
Sorry.
Some of the gift sets we keep, because we're going to raffle them, but not all of them.
You know, and if you specifically say, no, I wanted to go to my mother, we'll go to her mother.
You know we will do that.
You know, we won't...
I got one.
I got a check there.
I was going to raffle and I said, oh, you'd better check to see if she wants it to go...
But we've had perfume in.
It's only a bit.
Like, what's that?
Ghost?
So it's only a bit in there, but you know, it's alright to keep in your handbag.
I don't know what that one is, but that one smells nice.
That one's empty.
I think that's Charlie.
Is it Charlie?
No, it is Elvis fragrance.
What the hell is this?
I don't know.
I don't know what that one is, but I think he's a bit empty.
Some people collect the bottles.
I just put that one in the free trolley.
Because some people collect perfume bottles, don't they?
Or somebody who's had this stuff and their fella didn't like it, so they brought it in.
But like I said, it's all you then for mums to use.
Little lip pencil.
So what's...
He might be alright, because he might be able to be sharpened and cut off.
I don't know.
Opinions are welcome.
Cosmetic and toiletry amnesties are allowed.
So it's not something that isn't allowed.
There's another little perfume.
What's that one?
He's nice.
Oh, I know what this is.
I used to look after a lady who used to have that perfume.
Oh, like we've got this in, like this gold spray.
Strip of glitter, I call it.
Yeah, bits and bobs, like little travel soaps or something.
I'll all have them out somewhere.
I'll get the make-up out and I think we'll have a separate box for the make-up.
Because otherwise it's going to get bashed.
I'll have a couple of samples.
So if you can get up, wash your hair, have a good wash.
Put your face on.
I haven't put my face on for three years, I don't think.
I've been too busy.
You know, little bars of soap that you're not going to use.
You're welcome to buy.
You're welcome to buy new and drop it off.
That's the one we said we were going to bin.
There is a way of checking how old they are online.
I'll have a look at that.
Someone's added one of these things and then didn't like it.
So, but I mean anything that doesn't get taken.
I mean, look, a mum could take this home this week.
That's not going to sell as a gift set because it's indented.
But it's got a flannel of soap and a little moisturizer.
Yeah, so how much is the soap to buy?
Say 50p for the soap.
Flannel 50p, that's a pound.
Maybe a pound for the moisturizer.
So that's saving a mum two pounds.
You know, that's the way I look at it.
So nothing that's too far gone or too minging.
You know, I think we've got to give it to another mother who's in need.
That's what you've got to think like, you know, we get a lot of the balist and hardening moisturizer in.
Everybody likes the bubble bath, but they're not too fast on the moisturizers.
Are they?
So just going to not see if there's any more makeup in there.
But yeah, bits of perfume.
You know, anything really in there.
That's nice.
That's a little monsoon one that is.
That's brand new though.
So yeah, toiletry amnesty is going well.
Even though we haven't actually said yet.
Fresh Shet Pinkman.
Some of them got prices on them and we had prices on them before.
But just ignore them.
If they're in these boxes, they are for free.
There's a dev one there.
I think I got all the makeup out.
I'll put them in a separate box now.
What's that like?
Hmm, don't quite fit to it.
You don't quite fit.
So we'll put them in there.
And then they're left likely to get bashed about.
People can make an informed decision.
It's a nail varnish.
You know, we've got to look, everybody got nail varnishes like this.
We don't want to bring them in.
Test patch everything before you use it guys.
Might have to put a disclaimer that you've got to sign.
I'll see what the toiletry amnesty people do now.
And then we'll just follow suit in it.
So yeah, have a good clear out now for us guys.
We can't collect at the moment.
I'm really sorry.
We're crazy busy.
Crazy, crazy busy.
But we are looking for donation collectors.
So if you want to do that in your area.
A lady was designing me some leaflets.
To...
Oh, that's strong.
That Elvis one.
I'll put him in the free trolley because it's a nice bottle.
Somebody might collect him.
It's dried up.
You have look.
It's a clone, I think.
So anything, any pads you've got.
I'll tell you what else we had in.
These washable ones.
If you've ever had a sample of these washable ones.
Bring them in.
Or if you make them.
If you know anybody who makes them and wants to donate them.
And we can also give you material.
Because we get loads of bed sheets in and things.
So if you use the cotton ones.
Want to make them for us, not a problem.
Like we get lots of cottons in as well.
So, you know, we can supply you with that.
I think that's one of those cup things.
Don't want to take it out of the bag.
I think Carl brought these in.
Sterilizing bag.
Found them somewhere.
And then I think Carl brought some of these in as well.
Child on board stickers.
Found some of them.
So yeah, have a good clean out guys.
Have a good clean out of your cupboards.
Toiletry cupboards.
Makeup.
Anything else you can think of.
Drop it into one of the shops.
Or a drop off points.
Because we'll just pass it on for free.
To a mum who needs it.
Well, they've just come in now.
The mum's just come in.
And they say, can I have a look through this?
And we say, yeah, you just get on with it.
Coloring box.
You know, if you've only done one or two.
Especially the kiddies ones.
People can't afford it now.
That's the thing.
And there's nothing wrong with this coloring book.
See, it's just got a bit of mark.
Somebody will use the other sheets.
Somebody will use them when they...
Put them in there.
Can't think of anything else.
All the free samples you get.
You know you can get those boxes.
The subscription boxes.
And there's usually something in there you don't like in a...
You know, the ones you pay like glossy box.
Look fantastic.
There's always something in there you never use.
So, them items.
Sample items.
We go from there, I think.
So thank you very much for what you've donated already.
Thank you to all our customers.
We had a record day on sales yesterday.
I was sat down yesterday.
And I didn't do nothing all morning.
And I was like, oh, I'd better put my painting clothes on and do something.
And then all these customers come in.
I didn't start from one o'clock to six o'clock.
I rushed off my feet yesterday.
A bit quieter today.
But, you know, thank you to all our customers.
Yeah, I've done some pricing.
I've run out of angles now.
But I found some teenage clothes in there.
So I thought, oh, let's get that little thing we had from Shores down.
And fill that full of the teenage clothes.
Because there's holidays in there.
So people might be looking.
For bits and bobs.
And of course, I haven't got the hangers to put them up.
So these people can rummage.
Right.
So I think I got to do some dust.
It's quite dusty in here.
And I got to put some...
I need some volunteers.
If anybody wants to volunteer to sort through donation bags.
Hang up clothes.
You're more than welcome to shop as you're going along.
All our volunteers take a bag around with them.
And I need the size cubes put on.
Because it's easier for mothers to look them.
And the small amount of time they've got.
They can come in and just write.
I've got this, this and this.
And I think we need a couple of boxes made up as well.
A note to 12 months.
Three boxes.
We could do with a couple of those made up.
A blue one.
A neutral one.
And a pink one.
Just in case somebody comes in who's pregnant.
We can say, oh, do you want three boxes?
We've got our painter over at Pontypool on Monday.
Doing another selfie wall.
Don't forget you can take selfies with the picture outside.
That's what it's there for.
With the little ones.
So he's going to be over at Pontypool on Monday.
Walls by Paul.
Excellent price.
Excellent service.
And the finish is excellent.
So it's all go.
All go guys.
I'm just desperate for volunteers, risk it.
Just turn it up.
