I've been having a think as well.
We get cosmetics in, but very often they very rarely sell.
So I think what we'll do is we'll add them to our food bank now.
So we'll do a toiletry amnesty or a makeup amnesty.
Now I don't want things that have been massively overused.
If something's been swatched, I'll take it.
Or if something's like this, a gift set that's a bit... yeah, we'll take that.
Or that's been swatched.
What I don't want is things that are years out of date.
People just emptying their bathroom cupboards and dumping it on us.
Some gift sets we do sell, but we don't make a lot of money off the toiletries.
So I think we'll just keep them in there now for mothers for free.
Just when they're using our food bank.
I know it's like only six crates, but trust me, we started off with six crates.
So yeah, if any mothers want to have some of them, they can.
So if you've got any makeup, hair stuff, shampoo, conditioner, toiletries, gift sets, any tights, underwear, decent underwear please, no marks.
Bras that you're not using, can you also drop those off for our food bank?
And what we'll do is we'll put those all in with our free stuff, I think.
But what we don't want is people dropping off their rubbish.
I'm going to be quite arrogant about it.
Because we have had to deal with quite a lot of rubbish in the past.
That's why we put the charges on to do collections, because we were just removing people's waste for free.
Which we're not going to do anymore.
So you know that if you've got to book in, at least then if we get £25, we have to pay to get rid of our rubbish.
Or at least we're not out of pocket then for picking up rubbish, are we?
So yeah, I think because the cosmetics, they're very... we only do them like 50p.
I mean, that one had £3 on it, but it's probably gone into sale on Revolution Beauty, haven't it?
Now I would have thought.
I always buy stuff off Rev.
And they change their stock quite often, so that's probably gone, isn't it?
But if it saves a mum some money, shall we do that?
But like, what's this one?
This one.
It's a bit gusty, even on the shelf.
Oh, he's not too bad.
Yeah, he's not too bad.
But I add one.
Where's the one I add?
That was bad.
So you know, be conscientious as well, because we wouldn't give it to a mother if it was a pile of rubbish, right?
So be conscientious.
This one has come in and it's like that.
So I'd bin that.
I'm happy to have things that have just been swatched, or if you've tried to shampoo once and you didn't like it.
But what I don't want is people just clearing out their bathroom cabinets and dumping it all down you.
Including vitamins.
Please don't send vitamins in.
Because we've got to dispose of them then.
So I think we'll do that as well, because we don't make that much of it.
So...
Oh, what's that look?
Oh, look, it's an NYX Primer.
We'd be lucky to get 50p for that.
So let's check it in there and perhaps it'll...
I don't know how much.
What's a Primer?
Probably about 12 quid today, but it might save a mum actually buying 12 quid and spending 12 quid.
And they can put that on gas or electric then.
So I mean, we get nice gift sets in.
Which we might raffle.
But we also get some older type ones in.
We might need you to sign a disclaimer.
I'll check now.
We might need disclaimers now.
We've got a food bank as well.
But I'll sort all of that out.
But like, you know, they don't sell very well today.
This one is a nice one.
It's a posh one.
But it's a bit old, isn't it?
I might take that out because it's got a couple of shower gels.
If I take that out of the packet.
Moisturizing shower gel.
Yeah, because then it can help more people then, can't it?
Yeah.
So at least mums can have a wash, feel clean.
And feel good in themselves.
Because it's a big mental health thing.
You know, getting up, brushing your hair, putting on your face.
Like that one.
We probably wouldn't sell that one.
I mean, it's useful.
Don't get me wrong, it's useful.
I mean, how many times have you had to buy things like this in the supermarket and the more they cost you 50p to a pound, I expect.
But it's not going to sell you for a pound.
So we might as well let a mum take that for free.
With a food bank like them there for the children.
And we've had some of the other parl brought these.
And you've seen these.
You'll have to check the date as well.
So please patch test.
But I mean...
Oh, that green's lovely, isn't it?
Look at that green.
Ooh, that's nice.
Like little bits of nail varnish in there.
Patch test everything, please, first.
What's this one like?
See, this has been donated.
But what is it like?
Ah, see.
And the thing is, like, depending on the age, right?
Like you can Google these.
I'm not sure what website it is or whether you just scan the barcodes.
But you can Google them and it'll tell you how old the product is.
Well, the thing is, with suntan lotion, it might not have factor 50 protection depending on the age of the product.
Doesn't mean to say it's still not a good sun cream, you know.
Will this smell like something...
You know, it don't smell too bad.
Perhaps it's just mucky and dirty.
But, you know, something like that we probably wouldn't give out, we'd probably dispose of.
Because we can't guarantee it's going to give factor 50, can we?
Yeah, a bit like that.
It's lovely, isn't it, for somebody now?
Just to go in the bath.
A couple of nail varnish bits from Avon.
Yeah, we'll do that.
See, we get nice little ones in.
Like Monsoon hand lotion.
But it's also nice and saves mum, doesn't it?
Saves mum paying out for stuff now.
That maybe brushes that you haven't used.
I know I'm guilty going in Primark, picking up like six of each brush.
Because they're like a pound, or I don't know, it's a bit grubby, look.
I don't know if I want to zoom in on that.
Check them in the free trolley.
But...
I'm always guilty of buying brushes and never using them.
So I think, yeah, we'll check it in there, you know, if mums want it.
They can take it as well, can't they?
So yeah, we'll do a toiletry amnesty, guys.
So drop it off at any shop, please don't leave anything outside.
We have bin dippers that we cannot get rid of.
And we can't guarantee if a rat or a bug or anything like that has been anywhere near it.
And obviously we'd like to ensure that for our mothers and children.
So please don't leave donations outside, only come when we're open.
So...
We'll get there.
No, I think what we'll do as well is I'll start recording the weights because we can prove we did a quarter of a million tests for meals because it went through the app.
We can't prove how many asda...
macro...
What other ones did we do?
Macro...
What else?
Give us stuff.
Morrisons, give us stuff.
I'm trying to think.
I'd like the council to give us stuff, but we can't prove it.
So what we might do is I might get a staff to record the weights on the tins so we can see what weightage we've given out from this date forward.
So thanks for that, guys.
