Alright, so we've been busy.
Well, the volunteers have been busy.
But I've been on the phone all day.
I've had loads of people to ring today.
So we've cleared this area out ready for the castle.
So I want to sweep up here and give it a good mop.
We've had loads from the food bank.
I have to ring around a lot of people today, a lot of companies and things today and different things.
So it's catch up day on that.
So, I mean, we know there's short dates from the food bank.
But that's what we do.
Instead of them wasting it now, they give us a shout.
Fisher gives us a shout because they know we'll get it out.
So, fantastic.
We've had personal products.
And I've got some soap and stuff behind there as well.
So, we'll say five of these.
Try and get some over the pot and to the pool.
So, five items.
And one personal product because we're a bit low on the personal product.
We might not do five of them.
We might do like five assorted because I think they're about four pound odd each.
So, we've got Apto now.
Are they the same one?
No, that's a different one that is.
You know what that is?
Baby rice.
Oh, I'm tired.
I'm tired.
I've been sat there all day ringing people and my ear is hanging off now.
So, they've had a good tidy up here.
Oh, we did clear the settee but I think we've filled it back up again now.
We've moved that for Jan.
Jan wanted that there which has opened up this area more.
So, we did clear the settee up but we had more stuff there.
Put that there.
Oh, I've put my signs down again.
So, they've done that today now.
We need this consort table gone.
The little kitchen I think will go inside the playhouse.
I've had my eye on our playhouse for ages.
We've changed all this now.
So, there's the counter now.
Well, magically we've widened this pathway which we weren't expecting to do.
Because we've had to move some of the tables around again.
We've turned all them around because we have had a ring missing out of one of them that we haven't sold.
Even though we're taping them up and saying don't go in the cupboards, it's still going in the cupboards.
So, you won't be able to now.
You'll have to ask the staff.
So, we've done that.
We've bolted this one down.
We haven't really done anything with this one but this one needs to be bolted.
I'll tell you now of his drill.
So, we've got a little add-on sales stand of little things.
Like, you might think, oh, I'll have that for the curtain.
Or, we could do with packing little things like that.
And then our lucky dip tarot, five panel envelope.
You get a card, two page reading.
It's my hobby.
And the money goes back into the baby bag.
I don't get any of it.
We could do with a board across there.
But, we'll come across it.
We'll do that.
That one's been turned around there.
This looks quite nice there to come in, if I'm honest.
I wasn't intending for it to be there because I'd like at least the middle table gone.
So, you can walk through there.
But, that ain't happening this month anyway.
This is still built up here.
But, are we going to work on that bit next?
So, we've got to clear off the pet food bank now because it's all under there.
What's this bit like now?
Quite a bit because we've had to get some out of that room.
But, we've got a door on there for now.
So, we've still got tons of stock as you know.
But, we've put... that is halfway empty, that food bank room.
Which I never thought we'd achieve that because it was packed.
So, we can't get any more because we're a bit full.
So, what we don't want to do is put more out again.
We wait now until it goes down a little bit and then go in there, I think.
We're going to try and get in the boutique next week because we've piled up.
He's pulling up one of my fly tipping signs.
And another sign that we had off Caerphilly Council.
Because we have had some junk dropped here like builders rubbish and what have you.
We've planted these.
Cargrew us some turnips, they're in there.
We're going to have this pick your own out here.
So, it's going to be like an edible garden.
So, we've got some pre-grown herbs in as well.
So, you can just cut off a bit or just pull off a bit as you're going past for your cooking.
Give me a week to establish because we've just transferred them.
But, we'll get little signs up as well.
I've got to finish that before somebody puts the wood back.
What wood is going?
That pallet.
Does Roy want the wood?
Or can anybody take the wood?
Right, okay.
So, I've got to paint that and then finish that off.
We've got a surprise.
So, I've had a bit.
I wanted the pressure washer, the pressure washer.
But, it's just not enough hours in a day at the moment.
See, we get... I don't want to blame every van that parks here for fly-tipping.
But, we get a lot of builder's vans parking by here because they can run in the family shop.
And then they leave their builders rubbish like.
So, we're getting a lot of stuff and we've had it dumped on the drive before now.
And it's heavy to lift.
So, we've done that.
And then, Dan went up there.
I'm not quite sure if he got up there.
He did tell me he couldn't get up there.
Because I said, let's have one on the tree.
So, that we can put that up just to try and stop fly-tipping.
We could do with some litter pickers if anybody wants to come and litter pick here.
I'm going to go home to our landlord about getting a bin at the bottom of those steps.
Because people eat their lunch on it and then dump their rubbish.
So, they could do with a bin there.
A metal bin, you know.
So, if there's anybody who fancies helping us clean up this area.
We can apply the litter picking stuff.
It's mainly just rubbish.
These corrugated sheets would have to get the landlord to shift them.
He can't shift them.
I think he's got to do that.
There's a metal sign that might be too heavy.
There's a bit of wood up here.
There's some tree bits here.
Somebody is picking up these tree bits for their log burner.
Because this was covered at one point, but they are picking them up weekly.
There's a pallet that can go.
That wood can go.
So, we could do with some litter pickers if anybody fancies here.
I don't mind litter picking, but I just haven't got the time.
I need a personal secretary now.
That's how we're getting in.
I've been on the phone all day.
There's other parking spaces up here, but this one is overgrown.
I don't think you'll ever reclean that one back.
There's two more there.
What I said is if we can plant things here, like rhubarb.
We've got blackberries.
You don't want to be planting blackberry bushes because it will take over.
But there's already blackberries there.
But stuff that you can forage.
So like you could forage rhubarb and stuff.
Something that will just take care of itself.
But we can't do it yet.
We need to clean up a bit first.
So, as far as I can see, it's like drink cans and rubbish.
You have got builders waste, which the landlord would have to move that.
Because you don't know what properties are and things like that.
I can't see anything disgusting.
Or any hypodermics or anything.
But I mean, we've got procedures in place for that anyway.
Look at that.
That would have gone through someone's tires.
So yeah, we could do with some litter pick teams.
Let me know because I haven't got the litter pick stuff with me.
If anybody fancies, I'm going to go.
And we can give you certificates for volunteering.
So you can go in your professional development portfolios as well.
Because even if you are just a litter picker.
You know, if you just fancy coming up here and having a weed or whatever.
Up against the wall.
I don't know, you know, there.
I mean I wouldn't really bother weeding but there will grow back I think.
But like yeah, you could weed along there.
And then.
Just to make, you know, just to do our bit for the environment, isn't it?
Plant some, perhaps some wild flowers and stuff for the bees.
We can pay for the seeds.
But see look, people have their lunch here.
Younger people I think.
And they sit down, they have their lunch and then they dump their rubbish like.
So what we need really is a bin, don't we?
So I'll ask them.
I don't really want to pay for it.
I know I might pay for it.
But it's pretty good like.
Yeah.
Our free trolley is full.
Oh, I dropped down the screw now.
I'd have a screw that wouldn't I?
Ah, one more mile to go so I'm almost tired.
Yeah, so.
Yeah, give me a shout if you're interested in having a bit of a tidy up by here.
I might just bring the litter pickers down anyway.
We got it down here then because it's taking room.
Right, here we are.
I think we're putting the signs up now.
