Alright, so we've had a bit of a... I can't believe the weather again.
It's awful, isn't it?
We've had a bit of a move around.
We thought we'd put the till there.
We've got another till, you know.
So we thought we'd put the till area by here.
So I don't know if you can see it now.
We've turned all the cupboards round.
So I think it looks better now.
You can see it's a till.
Whereas before you couldn't really see it was the till there and we weren't really using it as that area.
Do you think that looks better?
We know it's a nightmare in here.
But yeah, I think it looks better from having a till point of view.
Guys can go behind the till and then we'll clear the counter off so they can pack the bags on the counter.
Because you know what it's like in Risca Shop.
So sometimes it's difficult to have a counter to pack anything on.
But we've had some lovely customers come out today again.
Some from Ebbw Vale.
We've had some volunteers in.
I know the volunteers have been in in Pontypool as well.
Aberbargoed is a bit quiet but it always is when the weather's like this and it's a bit like...
We could do with a big marquee extension on Aberbargoed.
To pull out in weather like this.
We rely on the nice weather in the summer.
Up there.
So we've come to the conclusion.
A little gate, they look hard on me.
We've come to the conclusion now.
We've got enough stock, enough tables, enough chairs and enough rails to open another shop.
Probably the size of this one.
So we're looking in Cuffilly.
We have got one or two in mind elsewhere.
There is one that we've been looking at in Aberton lately.
But I need the landlord to do the work before I go in there.
I'm not going to fall for that trick again.
I'm not going to sign nothing until what I want done is done.
But yes, we're looking for another place now I think.
Cuffilly is where we really need to be now.
But the rents are still through the roof in Cuffilly.
But keep your eye out for us guys.
You know it's got to be big because especially Cuffilly is going to be busy.
I know that because, oh god, I used to do at least two or three days pickups in Cuffilly.
When we were doing pickups in the car.
Because you're all good followers down there and you know all really generous.
So, yep.
I keep the Abitolary one in mind I think.
If two come up it's not a problem.
We could take on the Abitolary and one in Cuffilly.
But I think we need to actively look in Cuffilly now.
To get one up and running in there.
Because we could literally fill it overnight.
So yeah, keep looking for me guys.
It's got to be a sealed unit for the food bank.
So we couldn't have like a barn or anything like that.
Because some barns are quite big you know.
But it would have to be a sealed block unit like this.
Because otherwise you could get bugs in and things.
It's got to have running water.
And it's got to have a toilet.
If it hasn't got them I can't have them because I won't pass what I need for the food bank.
The hot water is not a problem because we can plumb that in.
If it's got hot water already installed that saves us about £50 to £100 a stone it.
But it's not priority.
Look at that dress.
Look I keep telling you about this dress.
Look at it.
And that's in the garage.
Imagine what it would be like out in the sunlight.
At a prom.
Oh somebody's got to have that for their prom.
Look it's beautiful.
Imagine what it's like in the sunlight out there.
Oh it's stunning.
Fair play.
We've got two other dresses here.
Mine don't forget.
The other one is a bit more bridesmaidy I think.
I don't know what the green one is.
I'll have to have a look at him.
I think the forest green one sold whoever donated that.
It was like a dark sort of Christmas tree green forest green prom dress.
That went as well.
They're nice those ones.
They could do with going on a mannequin and being shown off.
Perhaps I'll have a look.
See I don't know if I've got any other hanging mannequins.
I think I've only got that one and a child's one.
But I could do with hanging those up now so you could see the full the skirt and everything.
So yeah keep your eyes out for us now guys.
Oh and we need some more volunteers.
We need somebody to start running Abba Bargad for us.
Because it's taking up three days a week where we could be doing building work down here.
And what I don't want to do is shut Abba Bargad to get on with the building work.
Because then everybody up that end of the valley is missing out.
We need some more volunteers here.
Possibly one or two more in Pontypool.
Because it is getting quite busy over there as well now.
And if you're if you're upstairs you can only stay upstairs.
You can't go downstairs at all without locking the door.
So nothing can get done downstairs.
So we could do one or two more in Pontypool.
50 more in Briscoe.
We've got so much to do.
Look at that.
We're literally doing like 12 hour shifts of work down here.
It's crazy isn't it?
And then we could do with somebody to run Abba Bargad.
Now you can pick your days.
We always do Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
We find that works better for us when we're up there.
But you can pick your days and your times.
So if you wanted to open on a Sunday you could.
Because it's under the square footage.
Or whatever you fancy doing.
Give me a shout guys.
And it's all set up for you Abba Bargad.
It only really needs decorating Abba Bargad.
And I just haven't got the time to go up there and do my stripes and everything.
So yeah let me know what you think of the set up then by you.
And see if you think this is going to work better.
But I'm going to move my desk from there.
Because I feel like I'm sat in the bin over there.
