Oh, we've... Jan is trying to clear this area up now, so it's a lot easier to look for stuff, but we've still got loads and we've taken a carful over to Pontypool today.
Older... babies and older sizes as well.
All the ones that she'd bagged up over there, rather than sort the bags out, I've sent them over, except a couple of age groups where we've got the gaps.
So that should work out nicely.
Nice to get the sleep suits out there, because there's only one or two over there.
I haven't had chance yet, because I've been inundated with customers.
All new customers.
Brilliant.
One family just spent £43 with us.
Maybe £44, because I think they've come back with something.
How fantastic is that?
That's absolutely fantastic, that, isn't it?
Like I said, we always do the running costs first, because obviously we've got to pay where we keep, you know, store stuff in the shop.
So we take the running costs out, and then, you know, the utility bill and the rest of it, the insurance.
The insurance is paid in one go, so it don't come out monthly, so I always pay insurance in one go.
It's easier to do it that way, because if you miss a payment on insurance, car insurance, house insurance, or whatever, then obviously you've got to go back with that.
And it could come back on you, couldn't it?
So I always try and pay insurance in full.
That's a little tip I'd give anybody.
Thank you to the scrap boys.
We've got enough scrap names now to put forward.
We are dealing with another person, you see.
We're dealing with the scrap people and another person and recommending from the area.
So, no more scrap names now.
We've got a few.
Like I said, they need to be able to listen to us and follow the instruction they're given.
We can't have scrap people that are not listening and doing their own thing.
Okay, because there's a procedure that the other person needs to go through, which they are going through, and if you're not listening and you're just going to pick up stuff left, right and centre or just turn up places, that's not what we want.
There has been a bit of commentary on Facebook about it.
Don't worry about it.
It's only because they're nosy and they don't know what's going on.
They think they know what's going on, but they don't.
We have been asked to find a suitable scrap dealer or tour to deal with an ongoing issue at one of our locations.
Nothing to do with anybody else.
We just want somebody who's recommended.
That's what I want.
Rather than somebody who's just going to take matters into their own hands and do their own thing.
But of course, people have to be nosy, don't they?
So let them chatter on.
That's fine by me.
Yeah, we've been busy.
We've been busy this morning.
I can't believe how busy we are.
We've got quite a bit moved from here in the last couple of days.
That's good.
We need a bit of space.
All the nappies are on the shelf.
This is what we've got left down here.
So that's good.
They've lasted well, haven't they?
So the nappies are a minimum donation of a pound.
If you need help for anything, adult clothes, furniture, baby stuff, non-baby stuff, all you need to do is put it in writing.
Hand a letter in a sealed envelope for the attention of Jayne and we will discuss it with the other trustees.
And we 99.9% assist everybody for free.
There are some people we don't assist, but we usually give them a reason why.
But they are a minimum donation of a pound.
And it's one pack per household per week.
Just for everybody to be aware.
So that everybody has the same chance.
Got an incontinence pad here, I think.
But I'm a bit low on them.
But the incontinence service sometimes ring me.
The van men ring me.
Because they're not supposed to take them back.
So somebody asked me about cheats that I can't remember.
I'm really sorry.
Oh, I've had loads of messages the last couple of days.
I'm really sorry.
So we've got those ones and those ones in Risca.
And they've probably got those ones and those ones in Ponty and at the Top Shop as well in Arbor Bargard.
So yeah, they've probably got them there.
Yeah, so I did do a video.
Because we had theft from the boutique.
But I know what it was.
Because I took the video, didn't I?
I took the video of the Pandora ring in the box, which wasn't a Pandora ring.
So I had a time and a date of when it was there and when it's gone.
So I know what it was.
So I'm going to be confronting the person when they come in.
And we've got CCTV in there as well.
So I'm going to be passing that information on to the relevant agencies.
And I will... let me zip this up.
I will confront the person when they come in.
Because there was no need to do that.
We often gift out jewellery and clothes.
Sometimes makeup if we've got it and it's in fairly good condition.
Toiletries to our refuge individuals that contact us.
Handbags is another one.
Okay, there was a handbag on as well.
I know that because I put it in a package for a teenage girl that's coming for a request.
So I will confront you next time you come down I think.
Because I'm not going to put up with that.
But we often do... and what I usually say to the person when I give it to them, if there's anything in the parcel that you don't want, like maybe you don't need a handbag or something.
Pass it on to one of the other girls in the refuge that might need one.
So I'm disappointed with that.
Anyway, there we are.
So I had a good laugh last night anyway knowing that somebody was out after the night watching these vehicles.
Don't threaten us please with, oh we're going to take this vehicle or that vehicle or whatever.
Because we'll just give you as good back.
Simple as.
All my insurance, all my cars and vehicles are insured under my business insurance.
All my stock, all my shops are insured under business insurance.
So do your worst.
I love this.
Isn't that lovely?
Isn't that lovely?
Proper spring vibes with that.
We've got tons of clothes there.
Lovely.
Look at that little ballerina type one.
Isn't that nice?
So cute.
We've got loads of teenagers.
Yeah, so don't threaten us because, you know, grow up in it.
Because we'll do the same to you.
Some people can take it.
Because some people can give it, but they can't take it, can they?
But that's given me a good old laugh last night because I...
A knitting is lovely, isn't it?
Good old laugh I had because I know you'll be washing your vehicles now.
So you won't be able to concentrate on anything else.
Give other people a break.
Lovely sets we've had in guys.
Lovely sets.
But yeah, like if we get a request on the refuge, I usually go to all the toiletries and say take the toiletries over.
Are you going over?
So...
That's the disappointing thing about it is that if we don't sell the stock we got, or if we get a referral in, We're like, oh, we've got a referral in, we take it straight off the shelf.
Because we don't really keep anything in storage.
Everything will come off the shelf and I'll contact the other managers of the shops and say, oh, have you got this, this and this?
Do we need to pick it up or can you drop it off when you're passing?
Because it's for a request and they're like, all right, no problem.
And they get it and they give it out.
You know, we give it out to the person in need.
So it's disappointing that somebody needed to steal something yesterday.
And I know it's gone because I videoed it.
So I got the date and the time.
So we just got to do the video and come back.
I got a couple of car seats we found at the back.
So I think Margaret's coming to pick those up.
Pretty soon.
I got some boys waving at me.
I don't know why.
I don't know why they're waving at me.
So, yeah, I got a couple of car seats there.
So I think, yeah, I think she's coming down for them either today or tomorrow.
I might be shut tomorrow.
Going through our wood.
We need more wood.
We don't need now.
Like we've kept some stuff.
Like Dan took a couple of inches or something this morning and said, oh, we'll keep them.
We might need them.
So even if we don't use the wood, like, we'll be using it.
But like, that's OK for the shelf seats, isn't it?
Just take all the bits off.
You can take those off and reuse them, can't you?
I'll have to look online because that we could do with those hooks, actually.
Perhaps I could stick them on with a bit of a mask stick somewhere.
Nice a look, so yeah.
So, yeah, we got a bit of wood that we need, a bit of wood we don't.
But that's OK because some people do pick it up for their wood burners as well.
Especially the pallets.
Any of that left goes straight to our volunteers wood burners.
