Oh, I wonder if I'll keep it now, because I keep losing connection because of the weather.
I wanted to show you all our antiquities.
We've got beautiful antiquities here.
Look at them.
Look at me.
I'm chugging them all down.
Beautiful items again.
I'm going to have to have a look at them later.
I did do a video and I didn't record.
I'll have to clear my memory again.
He's lovely, isn't he?
Pool pottery we got over here.
I know.
I recognise that name.
Pool pottery.
Beautiful items we've done.
Look at this little thing we've got over here now.
And this.
I don't know if you saw it on the thing.
I found another Ainsley.
A little bell to go with the set.
So if you're interested as a follower in the Ainsley set, I think I said £15 each.
Or £25 for the two.
Well, we put the bell in with it for our followers as well.
So £25 for three Ainsley items.
Bargain.
Absolute bargain.
But yeah, look at all the lovely little things.
A little glass where we had over there.
Oh, there's your baubles, Jan.
We've got your baubles.
This.
Look at this.
Like Cinderella's carriage.
I'm going to have to check that.
I've shut the door because the wind is just absolutely blowing guys.
So I am here till about six.
Oh, I'm going to drop that plate.
Some lovely items again.
I don't know.
We try and sift through it the best we can.
This is our beautiful find of the day.
Look at that.
Absolutely stunning.
So yeah.
Oh, I meant to ring the council today.
See if we can open on a Sunday in this one.
I can't remember what she said to me.
I'll have to ask.
So yeah, busy.
Lots of people taking jigsaws.
To test for us.
So that's great.
Thank you for that because I don't want to give anything out this damage.
And if you're not happy with anything, you know, a book, a jigsaw, a top.
Bring it back.
We'll swap it for something else.
That's the way we do it.
We've had somebody use their blue light card.
I think it was last night or today.
For their 50% off discount.
Because they work for the NHS, I think.
It might be a different organisation.
I just assumed it was NHS.
We've done three pet food banks today.
We've had two volunteers.
That have come in.
Two customers that came in and then they offered to volunteer.
So that's great.
Three house clearances.
Yeah, we're busy.
I want to have a chat with followers.
Because we're thinking a change in the concept of Abba Bargad.
Because in weather like this, Abba Bargad shop is so small.
It is difficult to shop there.
And you know what it's like.
It's impacted with donations.
Which we're grateful of.
We're really grateful of.
I'm thinking of... I need to have volunteers down here to run this shop for a couple of days.
Maybe two days maximum.
Getting a van, which would be easy enough.
Because the house clearing boys will probably rent us a van out for the day.
Or whatever.
Or do it for us.
Shifting a lot of stock from up there.
Bringing it down here.
So I need at least three or four volunteers down here.
To deal with the stock that's going to be coming in.
Because it's going to be a van full.
And then set up Abba Bargad as a free cafe.
For our followers to go into.
With items.
Dotted around.
That you can have add on sales to.
So just like Note to twelve.
Close.
Maybe two to four.
Because we don't get a lot of the big sizes.
On rails.
And just really have a good clear out of Abba Bargad.
Bring it to Risca.
Because we still have got space believe it or not in Risca.
And then primarily it will be used like We wanted it to be.
Like a community hub.
But it's just too small.
We know that.
You can go there.
We can sort out a food bank for you while you're there.
Sort out other things for you.
You know we can do.
We've had tea coffee and biscuits.
We're doing it at the moment.
We could expand it to toast.
But I'd have to let Environmental Health know what we're doing.
I haven't had my stickers.
They said they were going to send out my stickers awaiting food hygiene ratings.
I haven't had them yet.
They said they sent them to Abba Bargad.
But we can't find them.
But just to let everybody know we are awaiting our food hygiene rating in both shops.
I just think that might work a bit better up there.
Because we've got a steel house now on our doorstep.
And I think perhaps you know we promote the steel house.
Because they're doing exactly the same as what we do.
You know they're stopping stuff going to the landfill.
So we're more than happy for them to be where they are.
And they're not too close.
But I think with the weather and the way that Abba Bargad is set out.
It's a really difficult area to shop.
And when the weather is like this.
I mean nobody wants to be in a gazebo looking at clothes.
Do they?
So if you've got any ideas.
Any you know ideas.
Bright ideas.
You know constructive kiters exams.
Yeah drop them below or drop me a message and see what you think.
So primarily then you'd come to Abba Bargad to sit down inside.
Tea and coffee and biscuits or toast if we get to do it or whatever.
And then there would be items dotted around for you to have a look at.
So it would be like an afternoon out sort of thing.
Rather than just nipping up to get nappies and things like that.
Let me know what you think anyway guys.
Thank you everybody and all our volunteers this week.
No hang on.
I thought I'd lost connection.
I had to rotate my device.
Yeah so thank you to everybody again coming out in the weather to see us this week.
It's been awful hasn't it?
I guess so.
Just coming from the car.
So I shut the garage door because it was just absolutely blowing in here like shit.
Like a sheet rain like.
So I was like oh I'll just shut it up.
So I'm here till about 6.
Give me a shout on Facebook or give me a knock if you're coming in because the door is shut.
