Ah, so I'm going through the books now - (1,105 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
Ah, so I'm going through the books now. I've got one first UK edition, all the rest are first American editions, all of them first editions.
So I'm gonna withdraw my offer, the 400, for the job lot. Well, I've started pricing anyway now, because we've got far too many first editions to let them go for 400.
I thought there was only going to be one or two. All of them first editions. I can't believe it.
I wonder, Daniel, I had somebody diving in there the other week as well, dragged, because you had them in the kitchen and somebody dragged them out of the kitchen in the bag, which was ridiculous.
But no wonder we slipped them out there, because we weren't looking for first editions back when we started collecting them, see, were we?
Ah, and there's, I think there's two millennium editions in there as well. We need to look for that as well, things like millennium, pandemic editions, because they'll all be worth a lot of money.
Not so much the pandemic, but they will be in 10, 20 years' time.
So these will be the £3.50 ones we're going to do these at. So they'll be £1.75.
But those are going to be a lot more, to be honest. I'm going to have to take an advice on that, because that's a lot of one thing in Disney, so I'm going to have to...
Probably, probably looking at about a hundred books in Disney that are all first editions.
So I, yeah.
And it's not just first editions, they're old school, aren't they?
With the artworks and everything.
So, yeah, these are the books you want to be looking out for, guys, on your car boots.
I'll take some advice on this one, I think.
Prop to Disney, ask the Disney specialist or something.
Well, Disney is going to hold the value anyway, you know, about first editions and set this size.
So obviously volunteers, if these come in, keep them back.
Well, you won't be going through the donations anyway, will you?
So it'll be the store managers that will...
Volunteers, store managers that will be going through them.
Oh, somebody's having a bad day.
Somebody's having a bad day.
Well, you shouldn't be such a bitch then, should you?
I mean, if you're not, if you're not such a bitch and you're actually using your platform to help people, then fair enough, but you're not, do you?
You're exploiting people. All you want to do is get you money.
Customers, customers, yeah.
Well, you've got customers and friends.
I'm deactivating my Facebook account because I'm fed up of face and name being slandered all over Facebook.
Well, don't be such a bitch and don't try and slander other mothers.
They're doing things to help people, aren't they?
You can give it, but you can't take it.
All these trolls, they can give it, but they can't take it.
Can they? Have you seen them?
And none of them, none of them say, right, none of them actually say,
Oh, I didn't do that. There's no way I had anything to do with that at all whatsoever.
None of them. None of them actually deny it, do they?
Oh yeah, look, see, that's a millennium copy.
Won't be worth as much as the first edition, but it'll be worth a bit.
So I'm going to withdraw my £400 offer on these guys.
I think it's a lot more that we're looking at a lot more from.
I don't know if I'm going to get a price today because by the time I sort them now, make sure they're clean.
I'll have to go back through the 350 just in case I missed them.
This is what we started doing before we got a little bit, our popularity went through the roof for about, you know, the third time and we ended up with all these donations.
We were starting to go through books and finding sets and correlation and things like that with the children's.
And then we just had to stop because we had to deal with the donations and then all of these stupid complaints off these trolls every five minutes.
We're busy, we haven't got time for it. We get out here raising money to help people.
You know, our shops are run by volunteer mothers, for Christ's sake.
And this run also by children of single mothers have struggled because the other ones that are there are children of single mothers.
You know, or they run by vulnerable adults in the community to help people.
We haven't got time for these idiots to be posting all this stuff all the time.
You know, showing yourself right up, I think.
We're going to need a good rebrand after this because nobody is going to buy off you now.
They know that you were behind what you've done to us.
Or you're one of the people behind it because remember there are other people.
There are other groups. They're all working together.
And all I do is reveal the truth.
You know, put your energy into something useful like fundraising to help people.
Oh, the lady and the tramp. I think I must have had that. That's a nice one.
But see, look, I got two firsts. But that one isn't.
That's why you've got to check every book. Those two are not first editions.
Oh, that's a new one in there.
It's still a bit of first edition if it's new. Or is it? It's a millennium.
A millennium copy. So, I mean, good job we checked them in there.
There we are.
Never in the rest of it. Make your books, guys.
From the 70s, I guess. I've put some out already.
But no wonder Daniel had people pulling these bags out to the kitchen.
Because they knew how much they were worth.
I'd never go in a charge shop in the back kitchen and pull bags.
The woman didn't do it yet. I think it would be there.
Because we were supposed to be packaging them up this morning.
But I still wouldn't go through bags.
They'd have people saying, oh, I'll leave you my number. I'll leave you my number.
Good job we waited, didn't we? And didn't go off.
Give me 20 quid and get off.
Good job we waited, didn't we?
So, all them. All them. First editions.
Millennium copies. And there was one UK edition.
Didn't have any pandemics.
They are all going to be £3.50.
But they'll be £1.75 in the sale.
Because they're still vintage collectible Disney.
So I'm gonna withdraw my offer, the 400, for the job lot. Well, I've started pricing anyway now, because we've got far too many first editions to let them go for 400.
