Right, so sorry we haven't been opening Cofiddy a lot this week.
We've been short staff, but I've had quite a few in this morning.
I've had four or five.
I didn't get in till 11.
I'm not very good in the mornings, not very well in the mornings.
It takes me a while to get going.
It wasn't until I'd said, we're going to stop donations coming in, I realised how exhausted I was.
And I think everybody else is the same.
Because I've just logged in on the CCTV now to do a check, you know.
And everybody's like, oh.
All the volunteers are like, oh my god.
You know, thank god.
Thank god we got a break.
So I think it wasn't until we said we'll stop them coming in till after Christmas that actually, because I've just been going, going, going thinking, oh I've got a week off now coming up Christmas.
Only one week we have off a year.
And obviously we're going away so that physically we don't do anything.
So we get a break.
What did I just kick them on my foot?
I don't know.
But actually I think we needed to stop now to wind down as well, I think.
To make it nice and easy.
I mean if we get a way out yet we can take stuff.
It's not a problem.
But until we get a way out we're not going to take anything till after Christmas, I think.
We'll still take it off our business partners and charity partners and whatever.
We'll still do that.
Still take food, bank and nappies because they're still going out, you see.
But it gives us a chance, because we're getting to the point where the staff can get in the shop.
We're all the customers.
So, like I said, we really appreciate all you're doing.
I mean look, look at the beautiful stuff we do have in.
Do you know what I mean?
Look at that.
Beautiful stuff.
Beautiful stuff.
I've got somebody interested in this.
I've got this pram.
I think it turns into a stroller.
Yes it does.
It's got, that's the seat.
10.
I need it gone, guys.
We need it gone.
We need all the big stuff gone now because we're not going to be able to get it out because of the weather much longer.
And we're looking to wind down now, I think.
So if we get another way out, we'll re-divert donations, new donations over there.
Leave us in the shops to work down.
But I can't see anything coming up much before Christmas because they're all steadfast on their prices.
But they ain't going to get it because people are dropping like flies out there.
You know, I've just seen another post now.
Blackwood.
Dead as a door post.
Cafes are staying.
I don't think cafes are going to be around much longer.
I think cafes are going to start to go.
Because, well, we paid £14 for two burgers yesterday.
And, yeah, they were nice burgers.
But £14 for two burgers off a burger van is really expensive.
You know.
I think.
But, I mean, their costs have gone up.
I can't judge them.
Can I own their prices?
Because their costs have gone up.
You know, they've got to pay...
If they've got employees that they're paying, they've got to pay extra national insurance.
They've got to, you know, the gas and everything that goes with it.
The electrics and everything.
You know, the generators.
You know, parts have gone up.
Food has gone up.
What can you say, innit?
I mean, but for us, that was like £14.
So, what's it for everybody else, innit?
You know, I'm on the breadline of everybody else.
So, I've had some others in today.
I've pulled some stuff out by there, but I've made a mess.
So, I'm going to have to clean that up.
But, yeah, like I said, we're not going to take anything in now until after Christmas.
And I think it will give the staff a good break as well.
And we'll just work on what we've got.
And work on shifting some of the stuff that we've got.
And go from there, innit?
Go from there.
Don't forget you've got job lock bags over at Ponticoole.
Because we've got tons.
I need to get that seating tile back down.
How's it gone up like that?
Oh, and I need to get him to put those shelves in there for me, don't I?
With his drill.
I need him to do that.
So, I've got a few people in.
It is a bit awkward to get him with prams and stuff, but we're doing our best.
So, give us a chance now.
Give us a chance now, guys.
Like I said, I think we need a furniture warehouse for the big stuff.
So, anything that's big goes to this other shop or this other warehouse.
So, anything that's like, I don't know, that size or bigger, it needs to go to the warehouse.
Prams all in the warehouse.
Bikes, warehouse.
Because we just can't fit them in the other shops coming, you know, with all the other stuff.
So, it's all good stuff.
But, you know, I'm saying to people come and get the clothes at a pound, fill a bag for a fiver, but they can't get one, can they?
You know, so, I think that's what we'll do is we need somewhere for the big stuff and we need warehouses.
I think that's what we're going to go for.
Because if we get another shop, we're just going to fill it up.
And if we get another shop in another area, then it's going to be filled up with donations from that area and we're in the same pattern as we're in, isn't it?
So, I think warehouse, second warehouse, and shop specifically for larger items.
