Look at this beautiful doll - 10 Oct 2025 - (859 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank

Look at this beautiful doll.
This mum has made this again.
And her little girl, who's a neurodivergent, helps clean up the babies and get them ready because that's what she loves in that beautiful...
This is the third one she's done for us now.
And they're stunning guys.
And like I said, you can take anything you want.
Remember those bottles are the bottles that the other baby bank refused.
Remember they came in and I was having a rant about those mum bottles and look how they've been used now.
See what I mean?
Nothing is rubbish, is it guys?
Nothing.
You know, so she's had that from them, added her other bits as well.
And that's stunning.
Thank you so much for doing these for us.
They're so pretty.
They really are beautiful.
Really are.
And if you've got any cellophane or any bits or any bows or anything like that, because she sews all those bows on, or any of the little cardies or anything like that, bring it in for her to make up the hampers.
Like we just say, some of our volunteers work from home because some of them, they can't give up time because they've got family commitments and things, but they can do stuff from home.
And something like this is lovely, you know.
So if anybody wants to make up like little hampers and stuff for us, you can do that.
That's not a problem.
But what we've had in the past is we had a few people that were taking stuff and not bringing it back in a timely manner.
This mother doesn't bring them straight back.
But I had a lady that took my washing once and never turned up with it.
Like two cars full of washing and never come back with it.
I mean, what am I going to say to the police?
She stole my dirty washing?
Like, it's not going to be much of a priority, is it?
But you know, it doesn't matter what it is, whether it's the pound clothes, 50p clothes, you know, we've got to track the stock and where it's going.
You know, I had to log in with the police because... but you know, do I really want my dirty washing back?
Well, if it's washed, yeah, I don't really want it back now if it's dirty.
It's going to stink.
Anyway, you know what I mean.
So the other thing I wanted to mention today was I was going to do it before I come in, but I didn't get a chance.
Oh yeah, you alright?
It's all on offer.
But we only take car and contact.
That's just for you to be aware.
Oh, I know I'm under all the stock, man.
Under all the stock.
Where's the tuna?
I just wanted to show you this picture.
Now, I've tried to block it out so you can't see the charity that's giving away this bread this morning, right?
Yesterday's bread, the fit for the bin.
And this is the lifeline the government have given us is to have all of the waste food from the supermarket.
Now, there's no shade on this charity giving out this food whatsoever, right?
Because there's nothing wrong with our bread, especially if you're going to toast it or make bread butter pudding.
But what I wanted to say, right, is that's all they've got is this bread.
But then you've got other charities that's charging for it.
They're giving that away for free out the front of their shop today, right?
Now, you've got other charities out there that's charging £5, £6, £7 a bag and getting the best, getting the creme off the top.
Yeah, creaming the best and then leaving shit for the charities that are giving it out for free.
Now, that's not on.
And I think it's time that Fairshare and these supermarkets stopped giving it to the ones that are selling it.
Because if they'd have given it all to that charity by there, they'd have given it all out for free.
So, that's my soapbox this morning.
That they could have had a lot more food.
Vegetables, yogurts, whatever.
Anything that was used by, not best, no, no.
Used by gotta go, isn't it?
It's best before.
Best before.
I've got loads of people messaging me in a minute, sorry.
We're stuck at the moment, the guys, for donations because we've just got so much.
It's crazy.
But what I'm trying to say is that charity there has been giving the dregs, because nobody wants the bread, because they get so much of it, right?
But they've given that out for free to people in need this morning.
While other charities are selling it.
While the pantry is probably shut locked up and all our food under a blanket going off.
It's not honesty.
While the other ones are picking up all the dregs, all the donations, from Sainsbury's, from everywhere else, from God knows where, all the pot noodles, they're getting it all, but they're selling it.
Or they'll only give it to their friends.
