Hello, morning guys - 18 Feb 2023 - (471 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
Hello, morning guys.
We've got to lie in this morning.
Um, Risca is shut today because we're going to go over to Pontypool to try and get on top of the painting.
And they've started down in the basement.
So, we had a ton of donations last night.
So, we're out of rails now at the top.
So, we've had to start moving some stuff downstairs.
So, I'm going to take the gate off the stairs today because I think that's a fire hazard if you're downstairs shopping.
Um, I think that would be a fire hazard.
Uh, so, we're going to take it off there.
It might fit on the top stairs.
We'll have a look and then see if we can... because we ain't going to be using that room just yet.
Um, but first of all, we're off to Absalade to have a little look at a shop.
So, Pontypool is open.
The manageress is over there.
We've had a bit of sad news.
Um, Julie and Paul might have to give up, uh, have a bargain shop because they're in well at the moment.
And, uh, it's really sad news for us because we love them.
And everybody else loves them and they've done so much hard work up there.
Um, so, I absolutely get it.
But I've said to them, you know, whatever shop you want, you can have in the future once you're better.
Um, you know, it doesn't matter what shop you want, whatever's comfortable for you.
And I am applied for... I applied back last year for the units in their area as well.
So,
but obviously they can't do it at the moment.
Um, so I've asked... I've got another lady who's interested in being a manager.
So, I'm hoping she pops up there today now and meets them so that they can hand over to her.
We... I might need a manager in Abatallery.
It would be better if somebody from Abatallery runs Abatallery, uh, I think.
Because you know, you know, you know the customers, you know, the clientele likes, or you know mothers in the area.
So, we are... we may be looking for someone to run Abatallery for us.
But we're gonna be over Pontypool today painting and tomorrow we'll be over there.
We've got a pick-up to do.
Uh, somebody's booked in a pick-up from Newport, but I'm... I'm out anyway down to Newport.
So, we'll be over at Pontypool tomorrow because we're Sunday trading hours tomorrow.
Bit of sad news.
I don't know if you want to give them a message and try and make them stay.
But like I said to them, they're welcome back anytime.
And, uh, any shot they want they can have.
No problem.
Thank you guys for all your hard work.
