If you lease a shop you need to sit up and take note. Major players are going down like dominoes. You need some one who has a sustainable shop, sustainable stock supply, social media presence, and a firm customer base or you will have empty buildings and not make an income as a landlord. Don't bank on charity shops because they are not getting the grants to fund their shop leases and bills anymore OR THE STOCK. Scope and many other charities are closing down their shops.
I used to joke and say it would he us and the £1 shop left standing - boom 💥 that's on its way out
