Me and Gary Barlow will be re - opening Risca Roo today! I need volunteers to run the shop please. We pay our volunteers minimum £20 a day in stock.
It's a lovely sunny little shop on the highstreet opposite the park. We will be price matching the pantry for any of their baby items. We are on half price- guaranteed until 2026 so probally cheaper anyway. Yes we are accepting donations. I have a new card machine to set up if I can't do it then we will either take cash today or you can pay via the smart code. Many thanks Risca for waiting for us and helping and supporting us. We had to close it down for a period of time because I needed to get rid of 8 volunteers that were stealing cash and donations and that took a process to make sure we caught then and got evidence ect. This was extremely upsetting for me and Dan and made us ill if I'm honest. We thought these people were our friends and they were robbing from us and the baby bank all along. It also upset out remaining volunteers. Only now am I ready to talk about it. We felt it necessary to shut down some of our outlets to protect the baby bank at the time. If you see a volunteer that you know information about volunteering for us - then please let me know as it doesn't just affect us but 100s of Mothers in the community. I don't take a wage, they are stealing from Mothers and babies that are in need.
